Sweden anounces a meeting to be held with all players at http://www.e-chat.co/room/85069 to discuss some things
State of Sweden update: Military size: 100,000 soldiers (some trained in strategic formations, others just basic training) Scattered around Sweden and Norway in training camps
Infrastructural assets:Mining iron ore in mining towns (Kiruna, Malmberget) with about 200 kg of ore per day -Trading efficiently with most countries near the baltic sea, Ireland (or scotland?), England, Africa.
Countries taken: Denmark, Finland
Countries basically owned: Norway
Achievments: Better iron, Agency, better agriculture (cradle, poop), largest army? Food: Fish, potatoes, crops (oats etc) Trend where you eat food in a specific order
Taxes are at 30%
Please explain to me how you got 100,000 soldiers. You don't even have any conscription/annexation going on. Most countries have less than 50,000 at this point.

Fine whatever, Sweden wants Mongolia's assistance in taking Russia.
70,000 troops are ready to attack, and the strategy is to head for the capital and take it.
Mongolia's role is to come from behind to regroup in the middle once Moscow is taken, to launch attacks to internal forces. Once wiped out we will together move on to take the middle east and then Africa, then Italy.
requesting about 30,000 troops from your side.
It's a big fucking task, but here's how it'll look(image coming soon):
We take the countries in a common name, but once we're done we split those countries. Russia will be split between us two even though I will basically take it myself.
Secondclass, do you accept?
No. Mongolian annexation of Siberia and Far East Russia is nearly complete, and we'll be taking the rest of it afterward.

Any unnecessary and frivolous valuable, unless it has doubtless sentimental value, belongs to the state.
Such a tax will be short-lived, as the consumption of frivolous goods to then be taxed will decrease rapidly.
"Tax" is intentionally a buttered up word. I'm essentially just stealing.

Mongolia announces a luxury tax on all Chinese natives. Any unnecessary and frivolous valuable, unless it has doubtless sentimental value, belongs to the state. Emperor's Police operatives in China, along with 2,000 other soldiers, begin enforcing this law.

Really? Well fuck me, here I've been plotting things realistically such as the food trend that will lead to someone seeing if it is valid, which will lead to the studying of the body, but you're saying that I can just be all like "Sweden researches medicine"? That ruins the fun for me, but whatever. It's obviously not that simple. You have to research technologies in steps, and it's vastly less general than "medicine".Sure then, Sweden accepts an alliance, but the terms are discussed through the agency that have now reached asia.
The agency wants both of the nations to swap knowledge. You have a lot of ideas, and I have more efficient usage of iron (I also have metal, but congrats on getting it). I will swap this knowledge if you give me ideas such as boat designs, fighting methods etc.
If you accept I will trade these things: -Psychology on the fact that a person can be familiar with about 100 people, and a close connection will lead to a better army (Sweden has done this in the past, and won against a bigger force where this system wasn't in action). -How to make better armour/swords -The concept of banks (if you don't already have it)
An alliance was never even offered by us. We simply came there to give you that warning. That condition fulfilled, though, Mongolia will consider an alliance. England notices a mention of horses by Mongolia, and would like to buy a substantial amount.
Mongolia can only spare 300 at the moment, but offers them to England as a gift. 8,000 soldiers training (Korea) -- 50% 25,000 soldiers training (China) -- 60% Sibera/Far East Russia annexation -- 20% Burma, Vietnam, & Laos annexation -- 25% Korean port construction -- 45% Galleon research -- 30% Steel mill construction -- 10%

Mongolia warns Sweden in advance to not attempt to annex any territory to the east.
That doesn't make any sense. Are we aware of each other? I sent my agency, not the Swedish troops. Do you also have an agency that found out about mine? What's going on here m8?
What? We can still communicate with each other.
So if Sweden develops lasers, and I say that we have done so secretly, does everyone know about it?
No, but we're still aware of your existence. I don't know anything about your country (I'm all the way in Asia) except for the fact that you exist. That warning wasn't in response to anything you did, it was just a general warning.
How did you warn me? Through a message sent by a bird? How do we speak the same language?
The reason why I haven't allied up with you yet is because I don't see how we would at the moment.
You're putting way too much thought into this. Some aspects of realism we abandon so we can have a functional UN game. Unless otherwise stated, we all speak the same language. As for the message, it was delivered on horseback.New alloy complete. A purified version of iron, this new creation has been dubbed "steel". Only a sample of the material has been produced, but mass-production will soon begin. A steel mill has been commissioned in central China. Expected to be complete by page 12. 8,000 soldiers training (Korea) -- 20% 25,000 soldiers training (China) -- 40% Sibera/Far East Russia annexation -- 10% Burma, Vietnam, & Laos annexation -- 10% Korean port construction -- 15% Galleon research -- 15% Steel mill construction -- 0%

Sweden now has cannons
No.
"The first cannons in Europe were probably used in Iberia in the 11th and 12th centuries. It was during this period, the Middle Ages, that cannon became standardized" "Sweden now has Blacksmithing in universities" "Sweden now has an agency that deals with intelligence" Why not? I've been researching that for some years now, and because of the funding that Gustav II Adolf gave, the process was sped up.
This isn't history class, it's a UN game. You have to research gunpowder and cannon technology first. You have to state these things clearly and give actual progress notes. You can't just say "oh a few pages ago I mentioned blacksmiths offhandedly so I have cannons now."
Holy shit, dial it back. No more than two consecutive posts.
Why? It's more realistic this way.
It's not like a country will have every idea present in one post, because that would imply that all of the good ideas came at the same time. I'm representing a country that's full of activity.
I have to take care of other countries, my economy, trading between a lot of countries, having to worry about Germany and England, having to increase my peoples' well-being, and the agency.
My country is one of the most active ones in those terms.
Now imagine all of these parties doing an action at the same time. that's not logical.
Combine it into one post from now on. Don't just keep posting one after another just to speed up time.
Oh, okay.
Progress report now that everything is done: the agency said that they'd have trained people in 3 years, and it's been about 4 years. The agents were spread out through Europe (currently moving east) where they found interesting inventions and things like glass beads, trinkets, and cannons from Spain.
Heads up: When they arrive at China they will report back an invention of a stick that shoots fire, and then I will expand upon that idea.
The only way I can secure a place in the world is by growing more powerful in a military way. My original plan was to grow economically with Meta, but Germany and Spain are threatening to Sweden. One organized attack and we'd be wiped out.
Now that you understand the motives behind why my country is so adamant on advancing, do you accept? I gave an explanation that's logical after all.
No one has cannons at this point in the game. So no, you didn't just "find" the technology in Spain.
Whatever, then I want the most advanced swords and armour in the game.
Then fucking research them. You don't get "the most advanced" technology just by asking for it. It takes time, and a clear statement of exactly what you're researching.
How about this? You tell me what my blacksmiths have been reseraching for all these years, and I'll consider it. So far though, all I can think of is ways of making swords and armour more efficient. They're blacksmiths, what are they going to research?
It's not my responsibility to tell you what they've been researching, it's yours. You have to clearly state what you're doing if you want it to be valid. Look at my posts, or anyone's, really. A clear progress indicator for everything we're doing follows most of our posts. That's what you should be doing.
But whatever, I guess I can give you a freebie here. In the future, though, play this like you're supposed to.
You have "advanced iron" now, whatever that means.
