Are you just going to throw those until we both get bored, or would you prefer to get that shitty kite of yours and get your ass kicked in that?

Spoiler
The only reason Lancelot didn't die on the first night is because Tokiomi didn't want Gilgamesh to show off a fully opened Gate of Babylon. After that Gil basically toyed around with him because he wasn't worth taking seriously.

Spoiler
Shirou and Archer can beat Gil because Unlimited Blade Works is a direct counter to Gate of Babylon. Which means Gil has to use Ea to counter that counter, but never will because he views using Ea on them as him losing the fight.

So its like going from Far Cry 4 to Primal. You take away all the fun stuff.

Not really. It's just putting you in a different sandbox that has just as much potential to be fun as a shooter set in a different time period. It really just depends on how the game is made. Verdun already proved that you can make a fun WW1 shooter so if BF5 is actually going to be set in WW1 it'll be interesting to see what they do with the setting.

Actually you folks are wrong. The Batarians were the one who first found soveriegn. Some Batarian entrepanuer finds Soverign orbiting an uncharted world out by the Perseus Veil and sends a team aboard along with some ex-alliance scientist to help in working the systems on board.

Well not really, he'd already been awake for centuries. He was just waiting for the right organics to come across him to set his plan in motion. Regardless though the Geth had nothing to do with him waking up.

Now is there a reason for it or is platinum just being sloppy?

On the subject of Nier: Automata‘s gameplay, they revealed that 2B’s swords float behind her as they have their own magnetic fields and can be thrown like shuriken[...]

I mean, you can basically tell it's intentional by just looking at it, but whatever.

The fact that they clip through her outfit is kind of annoying, at least.

I've seen devs pull some really sloppy things, especially when it comes to Asian ones.

Like feet constantly under the ground or characters floating above the ground by a foot or equipment that isn't actually attached to the character and ends up trailing a few feet behind them. My first reaction when I see something like that is to assume the devs are being lazy.

Granted a lot of this experience also comes from asian games on and ports to the PC which are notoriously bad, albeit they have been getting much better in recent years. As seen with the difference between Dark Souls 1 (which was almost unplayable on the PC unless you modded it) and something like Valkyria Chronicles or Dragons Dogma.

No one is saying that people should forget that the confederacy existed. Just that it's nothing to be proud of.

Also you're in denial if you still believe that slavery in the south wasn't a racist practice. The leaders of the confederacy and the states that seceded were all saying that the negros proper place in society was to be a slave to the white man. Not a general all encompassing slaves proper place in society, they specifically singled out black people and proclaimed that they were inferior to whites and therefore deserved to be subservient to them. The Jim Crow laws that came about after they were forced to free the slaves even further cement the fact that slavery in the American south was about race.

Thankfully no amount of southern revisionist history will ever be able to erase what the people of the day actually said. Even if the south tries its hardest to whitewash history.
The espositions of racists do not alter the reality of American Slavery.

The reality that slavery in the confederacy was racist.

Like I said, the esposition of racists does not impact the reality of the slave market.

And lol
>implying northfags weren't racist

That's good shit LC.
Guess which army practiced segregation?
Both armies practiced segregation.

I never said that there wasn't racism in the North, just that the North was less racist than the south.

Both slavery in the Confederacy and the government of the Confederacy were racist. All of the historical documents of the day spell it out plain as day. Stop believing in southern revisionist history and take a look at what the people of that era were actually saying. It's pretty different than what the revisionists would have you believe.

I'd just like to point out one thing.

The institution of slavery isn't racist.
The slaves were black because Africa sold the cheapest slaves.
Don't slip on that slope
It's a slippery one, but I'm pretty confident in my footing in the subject.

Slaves can be any color, and there were definitely white slaves.
Of course. But to say slavery isn't racist for Americans, kinda completely invalidates a lot of things. You're talking about the suppression of an entire race, followed by another century of oppression via Jim Crow laws.

Pretty racist and suppressive.
Jim Crow happened under the Union after reconstruction though.

Slavery may not have been right, but it's not a racist practice.

In the slave trade which African slaves were purchased in, (keep in mind they were enslaved by the Africans, and merely sold to Europe and the Americas) slaves of all races and backgrounds were traded.

In short, the Confederacy may have supported slavery, but racism was not a hallmark of their government any more than it was of the Union at the time.

Quote
The new Constitution has put at rest forever all the agitating questions relating to our peculiar institutions--African slavery as it exists among us--the proper status of the negro in our form of civilization.

The general opinion of the men of that day [Revolutionary Period] was, that, somehow or other, in the order of Providence, the institution [slavery] would be evanescent and pass away [...] Our new Government is founded upon exactly the opposite ideas; its foundations are laid, its cornerstone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery, subordination to the superior race, is his natural and normal condition.

-Alexander H. Stephens, Vice President of the Confederacy
I said any more than it was of the Union at the time.

Oddly enough, the philosophy that slavery is an instrument to oppress the inferior negro is not coincident with the dynamic of the slave market.

Or I guess in other words, THE PEOPLE WERE ALL RACIST WHETHER SLAVERY WAS LEGAL OR THERE WAS A NEW GOVERNMENT OR ANYTHING ELSE.

I mean shit, nobody could deny that these people were racist, merely that the institution of that government and the institution of slavery were not mutually implicit with racist ideology.

Northfags didn't like darkies.
Europoors didn't like darkies.
Nobody fucking liked darkies.

The government of the Confederate States of America was no more extravagantly racist than any government at the time, and the market of slavery was not a racist institution despite the espositions of racist people.

And that's what we're here to talk about.

Is being proud of your ancestors efforts racist, when everybody on the other side of the lines was also racist?

Is an economy based off of slavery racist, when the slave market on the whole was not racist?

You'll note that all I ever claimed was that the very institution of slavery was not racist, not that their government was not.

Considering the North wanted to do away with the institution of slavery and didn't institute the abhorrent Jim Crow laws that does indeed make them much less racist than the South. The institution of slavery in the confederacy was also very clearly a racist one as they believed that the proper place of the negro in society was as a slave to the "superior white man".

The various articles of secession detail this, the government of the confederacy proclaimed it, and it's leaders were very open about it. The confederacy, its slavery, and everything it stood for was racist to the core. I know the south has really been trying to hide this in its attempts to rewrite history, but thankfully the US government of the day was very good about keeping copies and records of everything that went on way back when.
