In 1999 I saw the Phantom Menace with my father, brother, and grandfather. I was seven years old. Liked it since then. Shortly after I would go to the local library with my mother and rent the original trilogy on VHS and also read the movie novelizations. Needless to say it's been a big part of my life. Oh baby, the merchandise back in '99....every fast food chain you went into. I have so many action figures/toys in my basement.

Nothing to be happy about. College went by too fast and I did not make the most of it. Difficult finding a job that is decent and not a complete scam. Friends all have their own lives and live far away while I'm still with mom and dad. I don't even care that it's the holidays right now, it sure doesn't feel like it. I have an attitude now where I'm indifferent to everything. Women; you can't date them when you don't have a job, and there's none around here. Video games; I've played them so much they aren't enjoyable anymore. Guitar; occasionally it is enjoyable to play, but don't as much as I used to.

Graduated college with a 2.97 which is bad...I put it on my resume anyways to be honest, but definitely doesn't look good.

No, because I don't want any gifts, and I'm still unemployed so can't buy them for others.

All I wanted was to see the last part of the Hobbit with friends I grew up with, but they can't spend a day away from their girlfriends so it doesn't look like it's happening. Plus at this point I'm like the old baggage friend that they don't want to hang out with anymore because they're grown up.

What would you like to do instead of the options available to you?
I like working with Microsoft Excel. I took a one day seminar explaining the basics today, and have been teaching it to myself (at least the things that I can). I still can't pinpoint a single career, but something that involves data analysis, writing, being creative, and solving problems. But that sounds pretty much like any job.

Definitely have been feeling that recently. Basically struggling to find a decent job for eight months after college, and not wanting to just settle for anything. Friends have their own social lives and girlfriends so I haven't met up with any of them for seven months. I would like a girlfriend very much at this time, but it would just be impractical right now. Still want it though. Have no one to do anything with basically besides parents and my younger brother. Video games have lost their luster for me, I spent more time in the digital world than actually living life anyways. So yes, it feels like things have been going by too fast and there's nothing I can do about it. Only redeeming thing I did with my life lately was volunteering at a food bank last month. When I lie in bed after a day of not doing something it feels like I'm having deja vu and total recall of doing the same thing over and over again because I have.

I think it's sad what happened to the MCC...I know it works better now, but a long time friend from childhood I have was so pumped to be able to play it again together, and then we were frustrated every time we tried to play together, and gave up. And now he doesn't have time to play near the holidays. What a shame. We played a total of five matches together, and not even on the same team.

Which for usesless liberal arts major did you pick?
Does it matter? And I guess they're not entirely useless if you have a direction in mind with them, ex. Psychology major wanting to be a therapist, etc... But I chose History, mainly because it was easy, and I failed math in high school, which is another story entirely. It is just as useless as Art History and English, maybe even more useless.
Yes.
Basically I've always wanted to do something with computers and technology, but I've never had the math skills to do it.
What's your area of study, exactly, Mr. History major guy?
I didn't have to specialize in anything, it's just the plain degree. Minor is political science, I just chose it to make myself look better, in reality I think politics is disgusting and what no part in it.

Everyone claims to be bad at math. I don't buy it, I don't think you guys give yourselves a chance. Could just be bias though.
Well the three college math courses I took were Intro to Stats where I got an A-, Mathematics for Business and Economics which I received a B, and Discrete Mathematics where I think I got a B-. Not terrible, but it wasn't my main course of study.

of graduating with a shitty liberal arts degree. What can I do? (Yes, I realized I made a big mistake)

Teaching- not for me, I'm not really an academic. It would take another 2 years of my life as well, plus $26,000 that I don't have. If I could do it with getting a stupid master's in education I would, but my state requires it

-Business/Finance related jobs- Yes, I would like these, but would be extremely difficult to get unless you know someone who will give you a chance (trust me, I've been trying to get one for eight months)

IT/Tech related jobs- I don't have the necessary software requirements, obviously. Could be learned if someone gives me a chance

Sales- Last thing on Earth I want to do is convince someone to buy something and work for commission. Not that kind of person

3926
Related: I want to get a degree possibly in Computer Science/IT/Management systems. One big problem...I've never taken a calculus course and have only made it to Algebra II in High School. I have a BA degree (which is basically useless). I'm still only 22, but I would have to work at the same time if I wanted a new degree. Possible for me?

I'd buy Far Cry for $30, even Advanced Warfare for $20.
