It's a step above Halo 4 for sure, in terms of aesthetics and gameplay. Sprint is an issue. I'm sure I'm not the only one that gets infuriated when an enemy sprints and turns a corner once you have stripped their shields. Maybe if you're not able to sprint while your shields are down; I always thrust away. But then that would negate the whole purpose of the current system that won't recharge your shields if you sprint.
I find myself forgetting that I even have these new Spartan abilities during a match, or I can't find an opportune time to use them. Most of the time I find my self playing traditional Halo with the thrusters and sprint. Slide seems useless, I have yet to see anyone use it. Ground-pound doesn't seem worth the risk it takes to use it, along with Spartan charge. I'm more interested in campaign anyways. What I think Halo 5 also needs is something other than our standard arena gameplay; lets have 16 vs 16 on massive maps (if it works). While I'm playing Halo 5 it does remind me of playing Crysis 2 in a lot of ways. I also want a return of Camo and Overshield pickups.

I want a battle set on a wide open plain of Sanghelios. Spectres, Ghosts, and Wraiths with banshees overhead. Maybe the separatist vehicles would have their own look similar to the Heretics in H2.

Halo 5: Evasion. Can't sprint when your shields are down would solve this like others have said. Thrusting to escape is enough. Everything becomes a game of cat and mouse.

You didn't play games when you were four, at least not FPS, RPG, etc...maybe basic platformers. I have a nephew who is four and still shits his pants, no way you played Halo at that age and could comprehend any of it.
