Happy birthday.

I worked during mine. I wasn't in the celebrating mood.
Same, I worked today too.

off topic but does anyone know what the fuck that one alien guy was?
New humanoid species they introduced known as Yonhet. http://www.halopedia.org/Yonhet Quite frankly I don't think it was needed, and the mask looks bad. Reminds me of Drell from Mass Effect

Don't praise it without any real game play either.

At this point people for and against the game are really being silly judging a game without any game play.
Wish there was a beta...

That feel when you want to see it, but will have to go by yourself just like for the first Avengers. Is it that good?

Indeed. Now if only the battles were that big. This game should have basically been a BF 2142 type thing. Also reminds me, I need to try the IMC Rising maps sometime since they're free forever.

It's a good size if AI are still included. If not things might feel a little empty based on map size.

« on: April 23, 2015, 10:24:11 AM »
Yes, despite it's lack of content compared to the original two. It would have been nice to at least still have Galactic Conquest. My friends and I that I grew up playing 1 & 2 having been waiting for the next Battlefront for a decade. There's no way we're not getting, and hey, it's Star Wars. I know it will be enjoyable even if it is not the "dream-game" it should be.

On Endor it seems reasonable with all the trees. But on Hoth? Wow, if that's the case I don't know what to say. Scripted AT-ATs on Hoth? Battlefront was all about freedom. Pilot any vehicle you desire.

Anyone else think that we won't visit Tatooine in TFA? Just because it looks very similar to Tatooine. Heck, everyone thought that the first teaser trailer showed Tatooine. Maybe it would confuse the audience having two desert planets. Jakku has wreckage and Tatooine has the twin suns...it would be nice to see Mos Eisley again. Imagine Han and Chewie still hanging out there and that's how they're introduced in the film.

"There are some things that are worse than death" -The Inqusitor

That quote has stuck with me, one of the few I can remember form the show actually. I'm sure it has some deeper meaning and foreshadowing. Or maybe he meant upsetting Palaptine is worse than death.

Also Rebels kept me more interested than The Clone Wars. I think I barely finished season 2 on Netlflix. There are just so many episodes that are nothing more than "trade negotiations".

I see where you come from. I like the political stuff though. Not every part of a war is fought on the battlefield. It's especially funny though to see how Lucas uses the Star Wars Senate to reflect his views on The War on Terror. As he said in a commentary once, "Bush is Vader and Chaney is the Emperor".
Yeah, I just remember one episode I saw recently where Jar Jar and Bail Organa went to the homeland of the Toydarians. It was godawful.

Yeah, are you watching in Chronological order though? Because that should've been the 4th episode or so that you saw ( gets it out of the way early at least).

Yeah, on Netflix. They must have the order screwed up. Maybe I should just skip season 3, because I know Maul returns in 4. I just want to see Clones being badass too.

Does pretty much everyone think that Rey is the new jedi?

Not really. Looks more like a smuggler, especially since she's on a scrap yard planet with a crash Star Destroyer, which is perfect for looting.
That image just screams Padme to me...has to be a Skywalker.

Speculation: The First Order and Resistance

Great article to read. Makes a comparison between the Empire and WWII Germany. I'm thinking the Rebels have the Empire on the ropes at Jakku and it's a pivotal battle. Planets that once thrived under the Empire start to fall economically much like Germany after WWI. Now with the First Order they have a fanatical leader and figure head named Kylo Ren. See the parallels? It's possible that the tides have turned and the Resistance (Rebels) are the underdogs again.

Also I really like this one rumor I've read about Jakku:
Spoiler
Many Imperials survived the Star Destroyer crash, including the captain. Thirty years after RoTJ they have a settlement and encounter Rey. This is also the time The First Order shows up. The ex-Imperials hate the Empire for abandoning them and help Rey escape the planet just as Kylo Ren comes knocking with the Chrome Trooper. This is also around the same time Finn crashes his Tie Fighter on the surface.

What's up with all these spoilers in movie trailers? The fact that the Idominus Rex can communicate with other creatures would have been a nice surprise. Not as bad as Terminator's spoiler though.
