What'd you get? I've got a pair of Alpha Primes, personally. And despite the over-abundance of electric music, I'd say that it's at least one of the best ways of judging fidelity despite not liking it all that much.
alpha primes are pretty nice absolute eye candy i picked up an HD 800 and just EQ’d it towards the Harman target to make it less peaky in the highs it sounds pretty goddamn good and i don’t even see the point in installing the Super DuPont Mod right now

i tested songs that were uncompressed vs songs that were compressed into 320kbps mp3 and 128kbps mp3 and uncompressed music is a little bit more shrill sounding in the upper range
i guess you could say that the compression process "smooths out" some of the higher peaks and valleys of the recording for easier listening

usually youtube or spotify, if it's not on one it's surely on the other
sometimes i'm forced to piece together individual songs from the album since the full thing isn't always available, or no convenient playlist is made for it
