Bias-- I meant. Damnit.

You're forgetting that "Isara's banner" were simple concepts, and not actual banners to be used on the forums. Please, read my posts. (This is also for Cheat, in case he mistook them as an actual attempt to replace the banners)

Use Isara's Gaming banner, but change the text to the one the rest of them use.

Serious / Re: Women need to be paid less so they can find husbands.
« on: February 04, 2015, 12:04:25 PM »
Perhaps, why shouldn't men be paid less so they actually find wives? Also, is that republican unaware that democracy implies getting votes, and so, does he think it's a bright idea to just burn away any votes from women?

I am not sure what you are thinking, SecondClass. The decision was made after plenty of research, and collecting opinions. There was plenty of arguing and evidence proposed to the outcome. Do you have a more meaningful argument to fight the decision?

Yes, that could also be a good option, but then again the style without the tagline looks great, too.

Unless you have different versions for desktop/mobile.

No, you respawn with two HE grenades, an assault rifle, and a pistol that can kill tank drivers.

Hm, the tagline gets cut on mobile. I guess the idea to put there is simply not going to happen.

...No, I agree with Cheat.
Go look at it on mobile portrait. Big and beefy is good.

Oh, the context of that banner is the case all banners were replaced. I wasn't working on an actual replacement, I just wanted thoughts on the style. That's why it's all rushed through.

Possibly take the tagline off as well, to keep each banner similar.

Oh, then who you want is Cheat. That's his style.

I like the look of the banners for the other boards. It just looks cleaner and more " professional"..

It's not when it's on the forum. Use your browser and check out. The title looks great, it doesn't need to be buffed up.

The title on the banner is really weak. Buff it up a touch.

That's great, I want to hear more feedback. I wonder if the style is something overall liked.

I'm sold

Orange is taken up by the news board, green by The Flood, purple by Sep7agon, yellow by HQ, and I guess it leaves us with red. How about...

How about red or orange? Maybe even green?

Well, they also pay a certain price for those consoles, yet it feels like Sony, and Microsoft take turns into taking a shit onto those people who invested into the consoles in this gen.

It's because they believe the "Next-Gen" PR that makes out that they're powerhouses.

Gaming / Re: Witcher 3 console resolution and fps confirmed.

It's funny how some console players expect unrealistic perfomance for the hardware and platform they are forced into. That's similar to how people complain a game won't run on their shitty Pentium 4 / i3 brand computer or laptop.

I think Yutaka fulfills the requirement for a moderator position. TBlocks, and Rocketman, meanwhile did some mistakes, it's normal that those mistakes occur when someone moderates a forum, especially for the first time. I'd ask for more time before gathering public opinion from members.

Serious / Re: Why Islam is worse than Nazism
« on: February 02, 2015, 12:10:52 PM »
Certainly, I also think that some Western governments actions are a little too lax against crimes committed by potential fundamentalists. Not sparking conflict doesn't necessarily mean hitting back on criminal actions with a plume.

That's essentially a milder way of asking whether or not printing Mohammed's picture will get you killed. Potentially, depending on the specifics, but it doesn't mean you should capitulate to these sorts of theocratic sociopathy.

Serious / Re: Why Islam is worse than Nazism
« on: February 02, 2015, 12:07:21 PM »
That is true, but isn't violent legislation, and actions from people and governments in Europe going to escalate an already boiling situation, especially with the fundamentalists?

Fundamentalism is horribly widespread among Muslim communities, even in Western countries. Not every Muslim goes around shooting satirists and blowing themselves up, but the Muslims who do do that necessarily have a wider base of support.

Serious / Re: Why Islam is worse than Nazism
« on: February 02, 2015, 12:03:30 PM »
What about all the followers of Islam that are not extremists, however? Isn't this what the muslims in Europe fear about, and would be willing to fight against? I think the author is either giving wrongful advice on purpose, or is being sarcastic. Nazism sparked an unspeakable monster of hatred, but so has communism, and republics at the time of World War 2.

Serious / Re: Are we in a State of War?
« on: February 02, 2015, 11:16:36 AM »
I doubt that's the case, unless the overall public disagrees with a specific war such as what happened with the Vietnam war. How you would also define the "war on terrorism" that the west is currently employing? The main status of conflicts, at least from the West spawns from that, and the conflict of interests with other powers in certain parts of the world.

The Western world.

You, nor your friends, have much of a choice if the government is effectively engaged in warfare.

Just to add to my earlier post about "Kinda the hypocrisy..."

This might sound like cynicism towards a number of nations. Instead, I think it's necessary to exploit whatever resources from weaker states that do not have the military to defend, or the industry to back it up. This is the same crucible that China was in the 19th century where the West was really, and heavily attempting to force China into modernization to exploit all the unused resources. (That through a lot of work, and dramatic political changes, China became a modern nation to par with the West)

I think the US, EU, Russia, China, and Turkey as powers are in a constant tension to fight terrorist actions. Maybe in some cases the actions of the governments are questionable, but the vast amount of issues creates an incredible amount of internal issues, and also stress the relationships between nations.

That more and more money is spent on the military, security, the UN and counter-intelligence is needless to say, that in the modern world, any kind of power is locked into a constant proxy war of intelligence. Meanwhile, smaller nations who are weak, or incapable of maintaining a stable system or relationship with a power are doomed to an endless spiral of violence and societal destruction by the paramount amount of issues and forces pushing against the people and government themselves.

I don't remember who specifically, but it is argued that the modern world is in fact no less violent and anarchic than the non-modern era, but in fact all the violence has been subverted, or changed meanwhile many people simply work onto establishing a distinction between the world as it was before and now. (Kinda the hypocrisy from the powers on the planet that enjoy technology that is often made with conflict resources)

World peace is impossible. Therefore, we'll be always locked in some sort of conflict.
