That you have been cat-zoned and friend-zoned at the same time. Enjoy!

What if the cat happens to be a boy?

Yeah...

you could have just said "sexualized characters", but i mean, this is the main thing i agree with here
the rest of what you said seems like minutiae revolving around the industry/community rather than the games

It means that you have been cat-zoned. You may proceed to leave in humiliation.

Of course, the apocalypse begins in LA.

I thought it over, and here's a number of things that I came up with;

  • When games try to follow a "traditional" route and sacrifice creativity for an assumption that accessibility may be the most enjoyable option (but it can be the most profitable one)
  • Ridiculously small DLCs (like those that just add one weapon and cost ~$1 or $2)
  • Following ill-understood trends in the industry
  • Making promises based on development expectations a year before release
  • Generating too much hype over a game
  • Finding small things to amuse reviewers, and make reviewers be more lenient
  • Publishers that are fed by businesspeople who abuse the industry, leading to more poor-quality games with the objective to extort most money in the smallest amount of time possible
  • Game communities that revolve around hatred of specific groups that may or not belong in the same community
  • Competitive games where the players feel entitled to act as "leaders" and further punish any behavior that is not what is conceived "good" or "high skilled" play. (Take a chill pill)
  • People who do not speak English and there's not a system in place to aid the use of the language, especially in games where communication is necessary
  • When a game builds up to a moment, and that moment is too brief, not challenging or very cliché
  • Games that focus their character creation, and generation of female characters with an exaggerated factor to appeal to the male audience (thus reducing female characters to eye candy, and the mix becomes very annoying when the female characters are useless or stupid)
  • Games that claim or are made by feminists who do not understand feminism outside the enclosed box where feminism is all about the issue I mentioned above. Pretending that a well-written female character lead automatically means that all women who happen to play this game will automatically think it's a good game
  • Lack of tools to punish players with your own moderation, especially as games become more tied to multiplayer aspects. (I hate this person; why can't I kick them out of my world and network?)
  • When a sequel to a franchise is made, but little or not enough attention was paid to the loyal following that the game already had; I also would like to call this one the Jimmy Rustler sequel.
  • When a game integrates social media services pointlessly or attempts to emulate them with little relevance to the gameplay or context
  • When a game series ignores advances in its own genre, and essentially repackages the game game over, and over again with little changes, to which people respond positively by purchasing the game
  • How sometimes games with a large production, and funds seem to not being able to afford delaying a release, and instead give a bugged game that will not work for a few days to a month; depends on the dev and the circumstances
  • DRM that collects personal information without a properly or friendly to read privacy note on how the data is handled, and / or the DRM forces you to be always be online even during the actual playthrough.

Those breasts are enormous.

583
Because it's a film, really.

Well, in the film this is literally THE LAST battle they were gonna fight, they were ready to die. And I mean, they did it in a pretty badass way.

584
Retreat seems like a better option than throwing more bodies to the massacre.

585
What the fuck.

A 34-year-old woman was accused of stabbing a pregnant woman in the stomach and removing her fetus, while the expectant mother visited her home to buy baby clothes advertised on Craigslist, Colorado authorities said.

586
Well, sorry for letting you down.

I just feel that coding this feature in is somewhat pointless when it appears to be a moderation issue.

This. True there's not many users that spam threads all day long but not having this is still encouraging their behavior. Telling them not to make these threads isn't going to stop them from making thread after thread. The only thing they have to do is make threads that have somewhat of a discussion value and just spam them. DZ is already doing that at times.
Lel. It's not a moderation issue, it's a shitty web team issue. A moderation issue would be a user that is insulting or making threads that are targeting another user. A web team issue would be what DZ and others are doing now by spamming threads. Really why are you even the web designer for this site when you're too lazy to do anything about an issue?

I am referring to the moment.

I disagree with that. Unless you are referring to the moment of when it happens, like squeezing the trigger.

Suicide happens on its own, and you won't have control over it when it happens. So, if you have serious thoughts (and as staff here) then I'd recommend you to seek the help you need.

First of all, I wish you the best for your surgery and a speedy recovery. Secondly, I do play ARR. I think it's the best, and most polished MMO available.

I'm not paying $40 a month for that rip off.

This is one of those moments where cracks are actually justified. I don't care what anyone says.

I can imagine it ending like 2001: A Space Odyssey as the Dawn floats in space with classical music as the chief lands in an alien planet and finds the black monolith.

He really should have been left in cryo on the Dawn.

God damn Microsoft.

What? It's too early for that. Nor I like the beach. Sand gets everywhere.

And you will get all that nice, warm Greek water to swim in, while I have cold, dirty Pacific Ocean.

*sigh*

And you get a question right that nobody else could answer

It's also not hard to buy an Adobe subscription for the length you need it.

Just a fair warning: you can't post links to torrents or other not-quite-so-legal stuff here. All I can tell you is that the Adobe CC Master Suite isn't that hard to find. ;)

I hope that this government doesn't screw up, especially after all the talks up to now. There's still many things that need to be done before the economy is re-vitalized.
