The Flood / Re: ITT: Tell the story of your childhood
« on: October 05, 2014, 04:46:56 PM »
A place that used to be small at the time, in Greece. There are other nasty things that occurred at the time, but since then things improved, nowadays I am just riddled with memories of things that used to be.

God...where do you live? New Jersey?

My family used to have financial difficulties at the time. I rarely met my father, as he worked a crazy schedule from 4 AM to 11 PM, and I would only see him for lunch and dinner, afterwards he went to sleep or watched TV for a little time. At the time, he attempted to make up for his absence with small gifts. (Like VHS cartoons, or anime which my mother suggested, sometimes puzzles too)

At school, what I remember mostly is being bullied throughout the elementary. I was branded as unintelligent, my peers were always onto me, the teachers rarely cared, or even worse, they accused me of anything at some point. Other girls outed me for not agreeing with them or playing the same games as them, and the boys were much better to spend time with, but they tended to be annoying more often.

My parents almost gave up on me at the time.

Silly stuff to remember. I won't say any further.

Septagon / Re: So is loli allowed on anarchy?

That statement was directed to people who support the banning of the content based on opinion, rather than the issue at hand; the possibility of it being illegal in certain countries. Otherwise, I would have phrased that differently.

I think it should be banned because of the possible legal shit it can cause. It's being looked at in more detail because of the possible legal implications, not because certain members think it's gross. :)

Do you really want a forum moderated by opinion rather by actual, fair and equal moderation? Think again that the same thing can apply to anything besides loli.

Why would you even want to post cartoon kid porn? That is fracked up.
That's what I've been saying for the past month, but everyone calls me a troll for saying it.
If it was me I would outright ban it, that shit is gross.

Cheat holds the final word. We are waiting for it.

I don't get what just happened. I'm not a damn philosopher here. I just want to know if we can post loli or not. Who has the final word on this? I don't know which mod to believe.

Common sense is not really common. That's why I suggest the agreement page before entering Anarchy.

I figured Cheat had hoped common sense would steer the board out of illegal waters, and action taken against anything too controversial would be understood and not taken as some sort of double standard in moderation.

The thread maybe didn't expect for someone to fulfill the request, but it was fulfilled nonetheless. If there must be a rule when it comes to personal exhibition then it must be said. However, that is contradictory with the philosophy of anarchy.

Instead, I do propose that an agreement must appear the first time a user visits Anarchy, confirming that they are at least 18 years old or the appropriate age of maturity is in their country, and from there on it's their own issue to handle as far we are concerned with legality. Wherever there's an actual suspicion then the staff can easily go, remove the content, and whatever else must be done.

Did that thread actually mean for members to post their own nudes?

Members posting nudes of themselves cannot be selectively regulated. There's no way to actually know 100% that any given member is at least 18. Personal nudes just shouldn't be allowed, period.

Cartoon porn isn't an actual person, and just about any 'real' porn found anywhere outside of the deep web is going to have adults.

« on: October 05, 2014, 07:39:24 AM »
I don't think the point is to take people who had fun with Halo: Reach and burn them on a stake. Undoubtedly, most people who criticize Halo: Reach probably found something fun to do in the game, and hence them being able to criticize it in the first place.

But... I had more fun on Halo Reach than Halo 3 and MILES more than Halo 4, so sue me.

On a personal level it's hilarious how people pointed at the exhibitionist "show your dicks guys!" thread as illegal of sorts, but nobody raised their tone for the "babe" and the hentai thread. I don't want to imply something silly, since it's just our little community here, but if we become to accept nude drawn characters, ladies and such media then why is the line drawn at exhibitionism?

This one pretty much sums up what I have to say. I wish people would give straight answers when it cvomes to this subject and not get all butthurt about it. If I can post a severed penis, I want to be able to post a couple jimmy rustling drawings.

Cheat, that is the very issue. For example, in Canada and Britain, it might be interpreted as illegal in certain cases. However, that does not apply for the US and Greece. Which legal system should we actually abide to? The answer clearly shouldn't be our own, since we have this kind of silly differences.

If it's not illegal, then it's allowed.

This made me feel nostalgic about Halo 4... Probably, that means I haven't played the game enough, maybe I rushed through it when it came out... Well, time to find that LE disk.

« on: October 05, 2014, 05:51:51 AM »
Truthfully, don't you find Vice.com's reporting style a little too sensationalist, or maybe greatly exaggerated? A civil war in the very header is a dead giveaway that this is nothing more than speculation for click-grabbing. Those who generate this speculation may be experts but nonetheless the lack of direct information from that totalitarian country itself should be a giveaway as to calling this incoming, and dramatic political change that has been expected for years a civil war of sorts is laughable.

Can you also please elaborate? Do you find familiarity with the points I have made?

I didn't like Connor that much tbh. Though he had his moments.

Personally, my favorite is Assassin's Creed II when it comes to character. The story is very involving, albeit a little cliché, Ezio Audiotore (the main character) has a personality that is quite three dimensional more than Altair was in the first game, and than Connor in Assassin's Creed III. Also, during the story personalities change, and adapt with the changes undergoing in their lives, which is quite advanced as far character development goes in writing.

You should watch a long play on YouTube, if you are uncertain whether to actually play the game or not. It's worth experiencing it as a player or viewer at least once.

If you actually happen to do so then would you please share your thoughts? I am curious what others might think about the characters and their stories in Assassin's Creed II.

I played the first one and half of the second and got bored. Is it worth getting back into it to play the others?

Probably Anarchy is not yet available as Cheat may be still activating the forum and its special rules might be trickier to make it activate. Just wait until it is properly activated.

It's now open.

The Flood / Re: Tell Great High School/College Stories
« on: October 02, 2014, 03:19:55 PM »
Since this thread hasn't died, as promised, I'll share another one of my high school stories.

This one takes place, funny enough, a month after the chair that was thrown from our classroom at the second floor almost hit the principal that was walking outside on the ground floor. Now, this month was quite active. Everyone in class was paying little to no attention yours truly included, but I was, and I still am, good at hiding my disinterest.

However, others blatantly played poker in the class, some others were just texting during class, and one even brought a gameboy color, and played Pokèmon Red (the next year he was criticized by the math teacher, but that's another story, not for now) and we had a certain teacher in chemistry and physics that was emotional.

The woman confessed that her brother was shot by an Albanian immigrant who proceeded to steal his belongings. Now, you might think "What's wrong with that?" well she confessed that also, she can't forgive foreigners. Now, to get the picture clear, we were a class of 27 people.

Two of them were 100% Greek.

A huge argument started in the classroom, and a classmate, I don't remember his name, said something to her, and the teacher ran out of the room crying. It took her an entire week to show up in the class again. During that time, she was replaced by a part-time teacher. (Who was actually decent)
