It was moved under the logo in this update. Basically you could click the logo and the drop down appears. However, this is only confirmed to work in Safari right now. Soon enough, we'll change this completely, and remove the search icon under a menu and move the PM button there back in its place (since it's more useful).
So... As I said, we're not quite there yet. Sorry. So before the mobile change, I could easily find my PM icon. 1151
The Flood / Re: Something for The Flood...« on: January 05, 2015, 04:16:43 PM »
I would hardly call my work as an errand. However, if you have a keen eye you would notice some changes since release. If you own an Apple device then you might actually be enjoying the improved mobile version. Android users still have some issues, but they will be sorted out soon enough
Did you finish those errands? 1152
The Flood / Something for The Flood...« on: January 05, 2015, 04:13:37 PM »
During the development of Sep7agon V2 I was somewhat challenged to recreate the banner of The Flood. However, it couldn't be used due to some legal reasons. Instead of keeping it for myself, I think The Flood deserves to have it for whatever it may do with it, and especially since it's something relevant to B.old.

I'll be honest, it was one of the things I kinda saw in the design to take place. If you want then I'll even provide the PSD of the current background as a reference point.

Septagon / Re: Report Sep7agon V2 Bugs or Issues here« on: January 05, 2015, 02:50:41 PM »
So, the mods are very aware of the issue, but the difference is that I am quite familiar with the inner workings. The issue at hand with the alerts system is that it's not exactly the most outstanding, and reliable one out there, and nonetheless requires some reconstruction. (Notice that the current way alerts are displayed is somewhat a hack, and people generally and yours included frowns upon use of hacks on release software)
tl;dr I am aware of the issues with the alerts system, and it will be eventually reworked to something that works.

The Flood / Re: Anime's you're currently watching??« on: January 05, 2015, 02:46:34 PM »
Indeed, and also a manga started very recently. The mangaka though is the same one from FMA:Brotherhood. The art style however, meanwhile great and somewhat cheery doesn't really fit with the more crude style that fits to the story. After watching the OAV and comparing with the manga, I would describe it as something around the grounds of having the original anime of Berserk drawn in the same style of FMA.
I believe there's a new anime in the works for that. 1157

Septagon / Re: Praise Isara and Cheat« on: January 05, 2015, 08:04:34 AM »
No, and some of the patents about avatar placement, menu placements and so forth are laughable to look at. Bungie.net, especially back then copied a couple of other concepts, but changed them. The same happens here, but I have been pioneering transparency, and that exact avatar placement as early as 2006 or 2007 which is when it started appearing and increasing in popularity. (That is when also Bungie.net had its big post-Halo 2 update)
tl;dr Not a grey area. I did most of the work on the new design based on the license of the theme we had, and all resources are attributed where necessary. Is the new design any sort of legal gray area when it comes to "copying" what Bungie.net used to have? 1162
Septagon / Re: Allow us to embed webms plox« on: January 05, 2015, 08:00:37 AM »
I'll pinch in here; webm is fairly new, and meanwhile the technology itself is great the issue comes that our forums without some recoding wouldn't support this. What this means is that we would have to recode some deep parts of the software to support webms, but it's not a task that's impossible. (My brief search didn't result in any mod that would make it easier as a task)
From the UX, and overall design standpoint I don't think the task implies any difficulty or insecure grounds. 1163

Gaming / Re: Any Level Design Tips?« on: January 05, 2015, 05:18:47 AM »
If you actually mean to start working on a FPS game, and especially your first one... You should go for a closed level approach. It might seem redundant, but it's the best way to learn the basics.

Gaming / Re: Any Level Design Tips?« on: January 05, 2015, 04:57:13 AM »
You have an important choice to take in the early stage when it comes to level design; do you want small, closed in levels, or open and wide ones? That's the most important choice for FPS level design, and it's what made the whole difference at the start of the current design style of FPS games.
Afterwards comes composition, and there's a great article about that on Gamasutra. 1170
