That would be better, rather than being so paranoid that you think you need it.
But I mean hey, if you want to look like ultra geek walking around with a sword/mace...good luck not having people think you're mental.

And that's why I carry a gun too.
Because there's so many people running around with swords, right?
Its for other firearm users/general self-defense. I usually carry multiple weapons on me; I am almost always prepared for every type of situation.

Clearly you've never seen shotguns/high caliber rifles actually be used.
Normal people shouldn't actually want to see that.
Never said I wanted to see it. I've also tested them out on animal carcasses; mostly fresh. A lot more graphic than a blade.

Yeah, they seem to be the latest blade fad after kukris died down.
What's wrong with kukris? I have one, and its nice to have something that can be used as a machete, combat weapon, survival knife, and a tool of intimidation. They're pretty badass aesthetically too.

Anyway, since this is basically a knife general thread, I'm thinking of getting another classic folding knife soon. Should I go with a Douk Douk,
decide on a Higonokami type knife
, or a Svord Peasant?
The only thing that worries me about the peasant or higo is if the main rivet comes lose and it opens too easy in a pocket... at least the douk douk has that massive spring to "lock" the blade.
I'd go with the Hig or Douk Douk. You could probably find a way to mod the rivet so it doesn't come loose; I had a similar issue with a knife I have.

Then why can't we carry knives exceeding the legal limit, machetes (Lolchetes,) swords, bows/crossbows, maces, etc.? IMO, I'd rather carry my tomahawk than my pistol. Just sayin. Technically it'd be less hazardous too; you never hear about katanas randomly going off in their holster. They're not ranged either, so criminals/terrorists would have to actually be able to get close to you to use their weapons on you. Just kind of racist in my opinion.
