List of comments made by Jerome Powell that has either aged like fine milk or were just generally stupid:

"The high inflation we are seeing is transitory."
"Wages are rising too high and our goal is to bring them down."

And now our newest addition!

"A hike of 75 basis points is out of the question and we wouldn't even consider it."

I just got matched against a Draco-Eldlich-Despia hybrid deck.

What a fucking cancerous way to kill a fun idea like a fusion festival. I’d rather go against an OTK burn because at least it doesn’t take 14 turns to scoop and quit.

I can’t really blame them for trying when they can just say it’s 100% all Putin’s fault and people will absolutely believe it without any moment of critical thinking.

I must commend them though for having the self control to not add any pork whatsoever to the bill.

this did strike me as shockingly stupid

i suppose the democrats can’t help themselves…

Gas is about to reach $5 a gallon. And there’s still boomers thinking it’s 100% because of Ukraine (lol). I can’t wait for the clown world midterms.

I as an oil company can sell gas to a European country for $10 a barrel, OR I can take a hit to the knee caps and sell for $3.57 to the US if they pass this price gouging (price control) bill.

I wonder what decision I’d make and what effects that would have on the supply of oil in the states....

Achronos? That's a little unbecoming and unprofessional of a web developer who's job is basically just to be the vice-community manager on the forums.

Dude personally messaged me to gloat when I finally got perma'd.

I'd imagine so. Whether it'd be a theatrical release or just digitally through streaming though is anyone's guess.

Is Shin Ultraman going to get a US release?

Interesting, I was on my break and just checked for a split moment before returning to shit-posting on 4chan during my lunch hour.

World at War was a fantastic game. Sucks that we haven't gotten a WWII CoD ever since.
Preach.

I can’t help but feel as though the site update was a move above him. Of course as the Webmaster he doesn’t have a choice but to promote/defend the decision. He still shouldn’t have tried to lie and say Bungie’s online presence didn’t change because it sure as fuck did.

The fat cuck asshole webmaster Achronos who ruined the site still runs the carcass of Bungie.net and apparently just celebrated some work anniversary.

IIRC it was a third party game sponsored by Bungie with stats hosted on their site; basically making them a mini-publisher. To be fair, mobile gaming back then wasn't the goliath money printer it is now; and Bungie's Aerospace would be a fantastic concept if it was announced post 2014. Alas they jumped the gun by a bit and it showed when their site update didn't even track for the stats as well.

Nu-Bungie now wouldn't give a fuck about the idea, the profit-margins would be appealing but doing something for a little developer (and smaller community) would immediately repulse the idea.

Just remembered something I haven't thought of in years: after Microsoft gave BUNGiE the boot, their next project was "Crimson Steam Pirates?" A mobile game which didn't take off.
oh yeah I forgot about that lol

I have some very mild nausea but I've only gotten it about once a day so far. Unlike most people, I don't mind if my body throws up because I understand I'll at least feel absolutely amazing right afterwards with the huge rush of chemicals going through my head.

I got sick back in January (which is what apparently knocked my immune system out enough to for me to end up with bacterial pneumonia) and I had one of the worst sore throats I've ever had in my life. Thought it might be strep since I ended up vomiting as well.

Have you not felt nauseous at all? I've had strep multiple times in my life and every time I would have terrible nausea and end up puking.

Thanks. I think this is my first time having it. I would be able to go into work and be productive if it just wasn't for the fucking sore throat. Without that I can barely tell there's something wrong with me.

Strep is the worst.  I get it too often  One time so bad it infected my lymph nodes too.  Stay strong king.  Wish there were over the counter pain meds strong enough for your plight.

I guess It’s a good thing overturning Roe vs. Wade doesn’t do anything against abortions by itself otherwise you might have me here.

okay, but think about what you just said there

if you're willing to draw a line of equivalence, joking or otherwise, between overturning an election and overturning roe v. wade, DESPITE the fact that you are not opposed to abortion, then it follows that you'd probably be okay with drawing any line of equivalence—even if it betrays your own beliefs—as long it allows you to dunk on the libs, right

i just can't imagine having no qualms with abortion, and making that post

I don’t recall ever posting about disdain for masks and I still do wear one on occasion despite not necessarily needing to. This comment is out of nowhere.

I will also go on the record and point out that I have no qualms with abortions.

something something, what about that time the left failed to respect ian's bodily autonomy by forcing him to wear a mask, etc etc

the day ian or inglorious finally post a good political take will be the day that sep7agon dies for good

the question is, who will it be

Hey remember when we labeled Jan 6th 2021 an insurrectionist coup because a bunch of protestors rioted in front of politicians because they were angry at them, wanted to overturn the results, and used violence/intimidation to achieve those ends?

Haha that sure was crazy evil amirite?

Imagine wanting your entire career, life, and everything else about you to be dedicated to your political beliefs and ideals. And when the time comes to find a job that is best suited towards that end you think to yourself "Yeah, I want to work at a video game studio."

>20 food processing plants all burn down in the same quarter
>No injuries or deaths but all inventory is conveniently destroyed
>Immediately labeled an accident without any investigation
>Companies won’t rebuild because of “exorbitant costs”

MEANWHILE....

>Biden administration restricting rail companies from transporting fertilizer and grain across the country
>Reason is because.......nobody knows lol!
>All right before the summer warm weather and rains start
>Same administration banning the sale of all poultry within a state because of ONE virus outbreak
>Also forces the recall of hundreds of thousands of pounds of beef and poultry across the country

Is this administration TRYING to kill their image before November?

Yo, Ian, is this the one where all the obscure Dead Sea Scrolls/First Ancestor lore came from?

That would be NGE2 for the PS2.

The Flood / Re: How have you changed since Sep7 began?

I am almost completely financially independent from my mother. The only bills she still takes care of is the phone bill (we're on a family plan however), the toll-road pass, and AAA which has saved me from a flat tire on more than one occasion. But I still pay her for all those things they're just in her name so in a way I already am financially independent. At least more so than I ever was back when I first came here to Sep7 and more so than some of my peers older than me who still have their parents pay for their rent, internet, car insurance and other things.

I didn't even have a license eight years ago, I had this notion in my head that I couldn't reach certain milestones or goals and now I'm working towards leadership at work and the only things holding me back are a lack of projects under my belt....and I'm not the best at interviewing for promotions but I'm working on both.

There was a thread on /pol/ a few days ago that had me thinking about it for a bit; and of course every general election year since 2012 has had the idea float around. If the idea is on people's mind, it it truly a leap? Even if the topic is silly now, it's just kicking the can down the road with the way things currently are and heading.

Especially with the whole "not my president" concept which I can understand why someone would be that way. You voted for your candidate but got someone so unbelievably and fundamentally different from you ideologically, why would you give that individual any support? Couple that with your congressional representation also possibly getting the shaft (and possibly the whole branch being useless, which most Americans believe) and you're left with an entire government that is passively indifferent towards your existence at best and actively trying to get rid of you at worst.

This is why back on B.old I was so adamant about people trying to get more involved with their state & local governments; especially the younger generation which doesn't vote as much as they should but they sure will preach about their ideas. Instead of trying to bend an entire country to their political will, they should get involved in the political system that directly affects them on a regular basis. People would probably be much happier and less frustrated with the federal system if they spent even a fraction of the energy they put into national involvement into either their state or city governments.

this seems like quite a ridiculous leap, however

is this something that people are actually saying?

I've written and deleted about three completely different responses to your quick and small counter argument. I wont deny the quick and immediate preservation of the Union is desired, but I just have one question which has made its way into all the different counter arguments I had written for you.

Do you see any outcome on the horizon that doesn't end in the further divide of 330 million people? If neither group is happy with a system that forces them together, a divorce is the only logical choice for a sliver of a chance at happiness.

if you had a headache, would you take an aspirin, or would you cut your head off

if you wouldn't cut your head off, does that mean you think headaches are good

Who would've thought that having your own independent supply of whatever resources could help weather a global supply hiccup? Maybe our friends in congress would realize that if they weren't trying to define what "unrealized gains" are so they could best use it to circumvent their own ideas they preach.

But this is also the group of people that cheer for a justice nominee that has no idea what makes her a woman. I'm probably expecting too much from them.

Half the storylines aren't worth it. It's either dealing with Class's degeneracy, hazing Roman, or someone desperately trying to turn another user into the new Roman.

it would be kind of funny if one day people decide to comb through our forums and follow all the storylines
