The first point is that you have no high ground to call someone's comment stupid when you're literally arguing about arguing afterwards. That's completely fucking pointless. The second is that the comment wasn't stupid at all. You implied that the only good plan was the best out of all negative options regardless of the fact that it was still negative. You're arguing it's okay to do something bad because it's not quite as bad as the alternatives, ignoring the possibility of not doing anything at all if all situations are bad. So hence, you did make an argument despite swearing up and down you didn't and derailing a thread because of it. Literally none of this made any sense. The mental gymnastics are insane.

Giving power to an authority to not only make and define laws freely and then also having the right to watch over you at all times is downright the dumbest thing an individual can do. You're no longer a person, you're nothing more than cattle at that point. All it takes is one group who have that power to say "We don't like X" regardless of whether or not it's harmless and suddenly millions of people are in the wrong because they know who's doing what and at all times.
