Uegh, fine, I will yield....

Well what do you WANT to happen Das? Both forms are absolute trash, you can't expect new media to save our asses just cause the old one was slightly more shitty. What do you suggest people should do?

This is a serious thread about Zionist schisms.

Good riddance to those days. As much fun as Halo 3 was I would never want to go back to my shitty days in high school where the only happiness I had was playing a single video game that I couldn't even enjoy in the late hours of the night cause school deprived me of sleep and I was always tired.

I miss the games but I would never want to go back to those times.

Two dead threads, where one of them only had it as a side point, where the main subject was something more important, but whatever you say. One post in here where I reply to Das and you freak out about another obsessive argument.

Also, what is exaggeration?

Try several threads where you shout the same shit.

Not to mention the fact that you honestly seem to believe Pewdiepie could purchase the WSJ. Insane comments like that only make any of your claims appear even more outlandish.

Most HDDs last about 7-10, what brand is it?

i've had this thing for 3 years too, so maybe that has something to do with it

As stated before in this thread, HDDs are incredibly unreliable; At least, in comparison to SSDs. Yeah SSDs are significantly more expensive (at least, large capacity ones are) but that extra money is more of an investment than just buying a replacement.

The funny thing is, my Samsung SSD says they have a 1000 year guarantee, I wonder who's gonna be around to test that claim.

no idea what happened to it

I'm not advocating for HDDs, I fully support SSDs over HDDs, but there are some HDDs out there that'll make a weird drop noise when securing itself. Although they're more usually found in Laptops, my 2011 Toshiba has this feature.

Don't listen to him verb, its time to upgrade to SSD anyway, and I can assure you that HDD is on its last leg if its making any sort of abnormal noise, especially coupled with slow load times.

You may want to invest in a new fan too if your HDD has become, in any way, damaged.

Are the bizarre noises a sort of clicking sound? If it's clicking in a way then you're right. If not, some HDDs have a drop feature to secure itself, only makes loading things out of it slower.

HDD is making some bizarre noises and shit's loading way slower than usual

i think it's dying

Yeah, we all knew this already, even as the media swore up and down he was a Nazi/Fascist monster. This is no surprise to anybody, PDP could buy the WSJ with how small they are in comparison to him, but he wont because he doesn't want to taint his name with their ilk.

it was all about the money
he was simply an easy target for the Old Media to attack in order to de-legitimaize Youtube and Google in the market, disrupt revenue, and bring people back to traditional media for news and tv viewership.

That's why Remoaners don't like her. She's doing exactly what she said she would do and they are all in uproar because they thought she was just some timid old woman who's all bark and no bite.

Why?

I too like then authenticity of film grain, and even with modern technology it's still in our movies. My copy of Shin Godzilla was shot in CinemaScope, IMAX, and 4K and there's still some traces of film grain in the BD release. It gives a movie a more theatrical feel at home. I tend to only prefer remasters that touch up problem areas (such as the Space Jockey scene mentioned earlier) and when they adjust the ratio to 16:9 because personally I feel pillar-boxing is really ugly and letter-boxing is useful for individuals who want subtitles on.

I have the Alien Anthology on Bluray, I'll probably watch it tomorrow and see how much of the grain has remained. I wasn't in particular watching for it my first viewing since I got in on BD, but I do recall the DVD master from the Alien Quadrilogy DVD boxset I have was riddled with grain and the movie was almost unwatchable. Part of that was because it also had a greenish tint in very very dark scenes, I obviously was never able to see the film in theaters but I would hope that the tint wasn't there as it really brought down the quality of the movie.

I tend to prefer film grain and other imperfections because it takes me back to the time period.

Um....that goes into territory of cut footage instead of one on video quality. The original theatrical release had cut footage, there's a director's cut that has all footage intended for the film. However even the cut footage not shown is considered canonical so there's no controversy over "which cut is superior". Most people simply watch the original theatrical cut, but in terms of quality, there's nothing that would make the film better in lower resolution; most of the technological achievements of the film were of practical on set props and improvisations instead of special effects.

I haven't seen Alien, but is it inconceivable that someone may have a reason to prefer the original?

The Flood / Re: Technological improvements are simply opinions

Resolution, makes the film look more crisp which makes darker scenes keep their tone while making out what wasn't there before. The Space Jockey being seated in his seat near the beginning of the film was apparent but the higher resolution makes the burst chest on him more apparent (something that was important to note).

Superior in what way?

The Flood / Re: Technological improvements are simply opinions
« on: March 27, 2017, 10:32:23 PM »
What about movies like Alien where the remaster process makes the BD superior to the original DVD format?

and some movies were filmed with DVD-quality formats in mind. If you watch something like Pearl Harbor on Blu-ray, it's gonna look like dogshit, because the film wasn't made when that technology was available.

Verb, would you say DVDs are in anyway superior to Bluray or HDDVD?

Just curious, no ulterior motive in this question.

You mentioned that the PC has a huge library but said you'd rather have a small library of good games. Wouldn't it be silly to not find a single PC exclusive in that huge irrelevant library that was good?

No it doesn't. League of Legends is relevant as hell, yet it still fucking sucks.

I don't care if a game is relevant. Most good games are irrelevant.

Well claiming that PC doesn't have any games is kind of an implication that the games it does have are irrelevant. Nor does it make sense considering more and more relevant games are coming to PC after their console release.

Is anyone arguing their relevancy?

You mean buying a single bag of cat food that saved me having to buy it the week after and not seeing the individual? With the only reason I didn't talk to them the first time because I was clueless to their attitude?

You can criticize my actions and behavior, but that doesn't equate to not having a life, especially when the facts about the situation are all wrong.

I'm not trying to insult anyone, I'm just calling it how I see it.

Basically having a life means not having to buy 13 bags of catfood just to chicken out from asking the girl out who's sellin em.

Define not having a life.

You can't without having an incredibly narrow and biased view as to what counts as having a life, but I'll humor it because I can probably check point most of your requirements anyways. It's kind of sad though how you have to resort to telling someone they have no life because they choose to game in a way you don't like.

It's not baseless, it's based off of observations. You're one of the no-lifers I was talking about.

But it does.

There is no objectivity here whatsoever.

There are no worthwhile PC exclusives. None of those games you listed are good.

Reminder: Just because a game doesn't interest you doesn't mean it's not good or not worthwhile. WoW is still fucking huge and StarCraft started the E-Sports scene, to say these are irrelevant is an incredibly untrue statement.

Games should be getting more expensive, not cheaper. Cheaper games is not a good thing. When I say the games industry cannot afford to be cheaper, I mean that if games were any cheaper, it would only push publishers to pull more bullshit with DLC and pre-order bonuses. And I can get everything on Steam at Steam prices for my console games at my game store because I've taken the time to cultivate a relationship with the guys who work there.

Games should be staying around the same price. I'd rather play a game from a developer that's $60 but has decent gameplay, decent framerate, and decent graphics, than one that has absolute ass on one of those three things and costs $80-$90. The only time I'll ever pay more than $60 for a game is when it comes with something more than just the game like a steelbook, OST, or an artbook.

Also there's nothing wrong with preordering a game, preordering a game is not the same as buying it early or buying early access.

PC gaming is for no-lifers and graphics junkies.

Baseless Insult with no way to back it up. People who choose to play PC simply want the most out of their games, and this is coming from someone who has five different consoles in his bedroom.

Oh yeah, like I said before, there is an enjoyment out of going out and buying stuff at the store. However, when it comes to video games, the extras/deals are usually found online.

Physical stores offer things to the regulars that Amazon can't.

These things come and go every few years, and I don't see it changing. Especially as gamers "grow up" and become more sociable.

I remember buying Sailor Moon on BD at Best Buy a few months back, I remember the cashier girl looking at it weirdly but didn't really seem to care, I dress and act like a normie outside my home. The problem was when she asked for my ID because I also got the Alien Anthology on BD and she needs to enter a birthdate for buying an R rated film. My DL photo still has me with uncombed hair, lots of acne and some stubble from not shaving for a few days. That's when I saw the face of holding back laughter....

that's the best time to buy those tbh

Used software doesn't exist. You'll can't sell or buy a "used" digital game.

True, but virtual-refunds are becoming a thing now.

they do tend to hire girls a lot

ulterior motives much?

Oh yeah definitely, a former employee confirms it in his Zero Originality video series.
