Same issue with Reach, but worse: they tried to force us to like this cast of characters, but didn't do nearly enough to give them any actual reason to like them. I felt like I was following around a bunch of bricks, and what amplified that was how insignificant the traitor-hunt was and how the story was all over the place. Osiris all had backstories, but those don't really matter: they're just a bunch of cheerleaders that do nothing but try to develop Blue Team's story, since we don't actually see much of them in-game, rather than expand upon their own ones.
Overall, it just felt like 343 cut a million corners with the campaign. You just watched a series of events with no strong connection: characters and events had a beginning and an end, but everything in the middle was abstracted, underplayed, or cut entirely. Locke makes his mission seem personal...and then it's not. It seems like there's going to be consequences for Chief going AWOL...and then there isn't and everyone loves him. That Spartan Ops ending? Oh, there's Halsey, welcome back, nbd.

I've been working on a space-sim game with an Oculus DK2, and I was pretty mind blown.
It was cool, because the ship's movement component and UI were detached from the camera, so you could look around and not affect anything. I was able to look around my cockpit and watch ships zip past me outside.
And that's all with an outdated headset.

Does anyone else just not use any of the req stuff in Warzone? In all of the time I played it, I think I've spawned like one sniper rifle and a single vehicle to see what it's like coming out of the garage.
I don't. I very rarely pick up a sniper out of boredom, but I find REQs pretty unnecessary. Most people in Warzone are pretty garbage, so a BR is all I really need. Vehicles are easy to take out if 3 or 4 people spray them with ARs/SMGs: the only hard part is getting randoms to understand that. I also find it to be a pretty pussy move when someone whores REQs, and spends like 3 on every life.

This has nothing to do with the OP, and is a pretty bad description, but I loved Halo 2 and 3's atmosphere infinitely better than 343's saga. In Bungie's universe, I felt like a military tool who's a renowned badass. In 343's universe, I feel like the center of the universe and a superhero with space-magic, which I find a bit over the top. The entire UNSC force looks like they came out of a cheesy SyFy movie: everything's design is super over-complicated and nothing is gritty. The armor is a prime example: nothing is sleek (except for maybe 2 or 3 343 armors and all the remakes), nothing makes sense, and it looks like the designers came up with ideas by crumpling pieces of paper and asking someone to model that. The marines look like dorks straight out of an 80's Si-Fi prop room. They don't communicate like a military, they're more like "go stomp the bad guys, Spartans" over the radio. Etc... All of these things detach me from the universe. The Forerunner environments are nice, but that's weighed down by the unrelatable characters and styles for the people you play as. Also, Luci, the SPNKR is it's own weapon in H5:

Scene depends on the bar itself. They'd either think it's a rum & coke or something, or that you're DDing. It wouldn't be weird, because that's what they're for: to unwind and talk to people.

Pretty sure that's why every single one of those girls stopped talking to you, especially if you seem anywhere near as desperate in real life as you do on here. It's probably pretty obvious how fixated you are around shallowly fucking them to validate yourself: I doubt they're flattered.
Maybe you should take some time to develop a sense of priority: someone who's in control of their own life is a lot more attractive. Maybe looking for something with actual depth will make you look less like a douche.
