While you're there, you should hide a dick pic under the sink or somewhere.

Gaming / Re: Infinite Warfare pre-order numbers are in
« on: June 09, 2016, 11:27:13 AM »
There's a bunch of reasons I can think of:

-Bandwagoning - the casual person probably stops at 3M dislikes, closes the tab, and doesn't preorder
-Brand new theme - a lot of people have barely noticed how fucking random CoD has gotten over the years.  What used to be people in ghillie suits with snipers in Ukraine and terrorists in airports are now gingerbread-man robots having shootouts and doing super jumps around Disney World.  This was a lot more in-your-face than that, because it didn't even look for a second like there was dudebro tactical shootiness.
-Treyarch has become the only CoD developer worth playing.  When every other year, a non-BLOPS game comes out, it's shit.  Infinity Ward hasn't made a good game since MW2, and people are sick of seeing them, especially after the giant meme that is Ghosts.  The company itself isn't even what it used to be in a literal way: Sledgehammer took over MW3 because IW fucked up and broke apart.
-People are super pissed about the CoD4 bundle scumminess.

Gaming / Re: E3 2016 predictions?
« on: June 09, 2016, 11:09:35 AM »
-Damage control for Infinite Warfare with a lot of "bbbbbut don't you want SHINY COD 4?!??!?"
-343 unveils some new REQ packs or some shit and Halo Wars 2 footage
-Microsoft shows off some indie games, a new IP or two, Forza or something, and then mostly DLC for irrelevant shit like Quantum Break
-Sony jacks off on how good Uncharted 4 was and then rides on No Man's Sky which will still show off practically no content, but rather go on about procedural generation, which the 13 year olds watching might as well be able to write the algorithm by this point
-Zelda will either be mind-blowing, or a meh-tier open world game with a pretty skin.  Other than that, they'll make a big deal over DLC like 2005 was yesterday, and talk about Kirby or some shit.  Maybe they'll talk about their new console, and maybe it'll be focused around games rather than dumbass gimmicks that no one wants to develop for.

I'm excited for the cringe compilations, though.

"You can hook up your PC to your television and download a program that lets you use gamepads."

I shouldn't have to do any of that

You literally plug the controller in and the drivers automatically download and it's ready to go.
Hooking up a PC to a TV requires just as much work as hooking up a console.

PC:
  • Better hardware by miles
    • -Better graphics
    • -Better performance
    • -Easier to develop for with less limitations
  • PC Costs: cheaper long-term
    • -cheap games + frequent sales
    • -no paying for online
    • -upgrading hardware is cheaper than getting an entirely new console for a new generation
    • -you don't pay to do dumb shit like change your Steam name
  • Customizable hardware, controllers, mics, etc...
  • Mouse/Keyboard infinitely more precise for FPS games (making aim assist mostly unnecessary)
  • Mods
  • Games have chatboxes (this made Battlefield way more entertaining)
  • MMOs and large-scale simulators (ex: Arma & Squad) aren't really a thing on consoles

Consoles:
  • The communities
  • Easy to use UI
  • Exclusives
  • Everything's standardized (can be a good thing sometimes)
  • Almost everyone has the same advantages: you can't blame the other guy for having a 3000000 DPS mouse or something ("almost", because Scuf controllers and modifications can make huge differences)
  • Less prone to cheating/tampering
  • VOIP isn't a pain in the ass to set up
  • Can afford to do gimmicky things (PS4 touch pad, Kinect, Wii motion, etc...): a Wii bases their entire OS around motion controllers, where on PC, you'd pay for all this junk to play 1 or 2 games: no one would do that.
  • Controllers are better for multi-directional control (movement not restricted to WASD...but most PC games have controller support)
  • You don't have to pay attention to hardware compatibility and worry about modifying .ini files to get old games to start
  • Easier to pay for up-front
  • Basically virus-proof, since all software has to be downloaded through the manufacturer's servers
  • A lot of AAA games have the biggest communities on consoles

You're as blind as a bat for even following her. I on the other hand at least keep an open mind.

Really?  Because you sound like you found out that all the cool kids shit on her.  So far your open-minded arguments have been "she's a dumb bitch cunt", so very impressive.  They're just analytical videos on YouTube: that's it.  They wouldn't have nearly as much of the impact that they do if it weren't for sheep like you being fucking idiots, so keep up the good work.

With forge coming to W10, it's as though 343 want me to sell the game

Regardless, that £20 got me ayylmao and wolfenstein so it was a good trade. I can get two good games and the one part of Halo 5 that isn't shit once I've got my PC.

You try too hard to express disinterest in the game.
And I bet it's super fun to make maps without ever testing or playing them.

What do the hybrid weapons do
They have carbine scopes.

Can't wait to get that DMR skin before even getting my first DMR at level 80.

I what tier packs have you been opening?

Silvers, then I did some golds for a little while, which were so shit that I've gone back to silvers.
It's just shit luck.  I totally get the concept of getting all the uncommon and rares out of the way first, but I have ultra rare skins, all the ARs, etc... but zero DMRs.

It's like the game doesn't want me to have one because I use almost nothing but a BR in Warzone and usually lead in kills.

The Flood / Re: Moral Dilemma
« on: May 29, 2016, 12:22:55 PM »
I think you're thinking of Martin Shkreli, the guy that jacked his drug up from $13 to $750 per tablet.

I mean, they're 2 separate models of morality.  Kinda depends on how much that money is needed and where it goes to: I think it's morally impermissible to jack up a price like that to live a cushier life than what's necessary at the expense of a lot of lives.

I mean, aside from how obvious it'd be, I think the compromise would be to leave the money that you intended, so you don't flat-out rob the guy, and he still turns some sort of profit.

When your sole inspiration was "bitches love teachers", you were bound to get sick of it pretty quickly.

Find something you like, or something you're good at, and go for it. Get some character.
