Gaming / Re: DOOM Thread
« on: July 06, 2016, 09:00:57 AM »
I'm loving the multiplayer on PC. Each kill feels super rewarding because there's an actual skill gap involved.
I've found the multiplayer to be an absolute cheesefest. TBH it would be way better if they got rid of the completely overpowered weapons like the Rocket Launcher and Shotguns and just had them as pickups around the map like the Gauss Rifle and BFG.

Fair.  But guns like the lightning rifle are way cheesier if you ask me: it's everything I hate about Halo's Assault Rifle, but it's IMPOSSIBLE to miss with.

Gameplay with standardized burst-rifles and non-super shotguns would be pretty interesting, though.

HOW? He is literally "trying too hard to be edgy and random" the user.

After threads like: How to burn down an orphanage or how to feed your family with your smegma - how can anyone think he is better than Elegiac?
I think he can try harder.

Let's see the Green Party win this round.

Mmmmm ME2 is my favorite in the series. I just got this private-eye feeling from the game, which felt awesome.

Be sure to do all the loyalty quests for every character and ASAP.

Was finally able to watch the video last night.  Yeah, that's ridiculously shady. Crazy how anyone would find those videos appealing or feel comfortable betting money on a market made up of community-valued items in the first place.

But man, TMartin's bs defensive response is hideous, and so is that other guy's win-reactions.

I thought I saw a video where they admitted to scamming, if I'm not mistaken.

Don't bother replying to me anymore ITT, I won't read a single word.

As expected.

I know you won't. You can't read and you think everything besides reason makes you anywhere near intelligent.

I'm pretty sure he was just sick of "Lemon & Co."
He was convinced that I hated him to his core because I was annoyed with his shitposts.

Thanks for at least reading the post, bb.

Stopped reading after the first quote in the second paragraph.

As expected.  Classic Desty.
You are seriously this site's most ironic user.  My god.  Keep your "heart open", you.

No, it was pointing out how he's arbitrarily choosing what's important and what isn't. He's a dumbass that thinks he's hot shit.

>Calmly expresses opinion and understanding of the matter
>ASKS for explanation and another perspective

Yeah, what an asshole.
Being calm doesn't really mean anything, does it? If he's asking us for an explanation then of course he's not gonna be aggressive about it.

but I'm not referring to the OP. I'm referring to him saying that there's no point in sending Juno.

If I calmly say that niggers are a waste of air, do you think that that somehow makes it okay in the eyes of everyone? You think that people are gonna think "Oh yeah, but he said it calmly so it's okay"? Fuck your "calmly".

While I don't agree with it, his OP represents a pretty valid point of view, when it comes to resource allocation.  It's fair that people don't appreciate space-exploration.  But your initial response is to attack his intelligence.  He then backs his PoV up (once again, simply asking a question (NOT stubbornly asserting his beliefs on anyone) that welcomes debate), and you respond with a defensive and condescending "who do you think you are?" post.

So an appropriate analogy would be responding to conservatives with "who the fuck do you think you are?  The president?" in threads covering politics and economics, as if their perspectives and belief systems are 100% invalidated by yours.

But then you decide to preach about the importance of open-mindedness through observing other perspectives?  Yeahok.  I can't tell if you're just being ironic.  His posts made zero judgement, and simply asked for other points of view to challenge his own, and your response is to keep quiet to listen to people "who've got their hearts open"?  How open-minded of you.

If you can study the composition of a gas giant, you might learn something about what could be on it or around it.  We study one of Saturn's moons so closely solely because it has water, which leads scientists to believe that there's life.  It's not about traveling there, it's about attempting to further or solidify our understanding of the universe.

Oh, I'm sorry for asking such a stupid question world leader, please forgive me. Everything you say is truth, even if it were not so before you said it. Thank you for existing and making such wise decisions and judgement on behalf of all humanity. Truly, we would be lost without your expertise.

Completely unwarranted levels of aggression from you ITT.  Tone it down, champ.

Legalization probably isn't too far down the road in most places.  But I doubt they'll be that casual. They'll probably be treated like cigarettes.

But edibles are a different thing. People are really having second thoughts about those since they hit you like a brick wall out of nowhere.  That's pretty unsafe.

Haven't played since the beta, but all it really took was buying the most standard Wraith at round 4 and everything went fine.

I actually liked 3, even though no one (understandably) did.  It's got a shitty story, but the setting is really awesome, and it introduced the much more entertaining climbing mechanics.

I'm also from the area, so that was an extra layer of neat, though.

You can embed Youtube links ya know.

[.youtube][/youtube]

I know. And I did. But it said it was invalid so I eddited it out. Link still works.

You on mobile?  If so, the links they use are trash. Make sure it's YouTube.com/watch?v=  and then that unique chunk of the link.

Don't think I'll have time to be able to directly help you, but if you have any programming questions, I can probably help you out.

I know a decent amount of physics, AI, graphics, and network programming, so lemme know if you hit any roadblocks with that kind of stuff.  Plus, I've worked on a ship simulator combat game.

What're you building it with?

I don't think the file browser is broken, it's just not updated on Bungie.net, so new ones can't be uploaded.  Waypoint might work, though.
