Eh, it looks like more of the same, but this time it's in a generic high school setting.

is this the bad one
As far as story goes, yeah.
But I liked it.  The overhauls to the engine and freerunning system were awesome, the environments are really nice, and the setting was interesting.

Yeah, but barely.  It's like 3 quick mini-missions.

Log into Uplay and hit the "Ubi 30" tab at the top to get a free copy of AC3 and step into the boots of a man with the emotional capacity of a wet brick.

-2 new canvases (barren desert, underwater)
-Shitton of new pieces
-Effects that can activate in zones (ex: enter a zone to trigger the underwater effect + fish)
-Scriptable targets -> shoot a zone to trigger an event
-Physics hinges (you can create objects and attach hinges to them: ex, they hung a container by a rope, and using hinges, it can actually swing around)
-A bunch of walls/grates that you can bust open with spartan charge / ground pound
-New game modes (KoTH with hill count diminishing over time)
-Game mode scripting
-Tools to build race: basically the Insane gametype from Reach
-Actual working golf + competitive golf-griffball hybrid
-Custom game browser for Xbox and PC

So basically just an oversized crab.

New update brings the custom game browser

Hell yeah, I'm pretty pumped for 16 man lobbies to be a frequent thing again.

Also, if anyone remembers Mr E05 from B.old, he'd be shitting his britches right now.

You're kind of a selfish douchebag artist if you see someone who's a huge fan and is inspired by you and your instinct is to defensively tell them to stop because they're ruining your image, as if your work gives you some right to limit other people's expression.  It's one thing if they're trying to steal from you and credit themselves, but they're not.

It also ignores the fact that pretty much all of these games are made by groups of people covering several different disciplines with the goal of shipping a product.  You've got an even bigger ego if you're, let's say, the character artist on a project, who feels ripped off by the fan(s) who took the time to learn the ins-and-outs of aspects of the engine that you probably have rarely/never used yourself, but still rely on to do your job.  You, as an individual, don't own the entire project: get over yourself.

Gaming / Re: Overwatch won GOTY
« on: December 02, 2016, 10:27:50 PM »
Considering that Overwatch has over 20 million players, I'm not surprised.

A game doesn't need a campaign to be good.  It's extremely addicting, well-balanced, and it's the best FPS multiplayer experience that has an extremely inviting and accessible game flow without compromising the competitive meta.

Uncharted 4 was one of my favorites to come out this year, and as entertaining and beautiful of a thriller it was, its actual story doesn't hold up that well to the previous games, and definitely not to TLoU.
(Actual semi-spoilers)
My favorite part was when they built up this huge neglectful asshole-husband side-narrative, just for them to drop it out of nowhere right at the part where Drake was supposed to pay for his actions and the two were supposed to have any depth.  Same with how Drake's brother just gets away lying to him the whole game.  Literally zero consequences for anything in this story.
The game had some of the best environments (and they ditched the parts where you find stupid shit like zombies/Avatars), but there were never any "holy-shit" moments (the cliff-train, the crashed plane, the sinking ship, etc...).

None of what I said is new critique, but I think Overwatch did multiplayer shooters better than Uncharted 4 did SP narratives.

Personally a fan of Audio Technicas with a Yeti Blue for PC gaming.  The only thing is you need to make sure your mic doesn't pick up your keyboard.

So this guy walks around testing people's car locks just to pull this shit?

I dunno. I was thinking about that yesterday. I think it's my neighbor directly across from me. When I moved in he was trying to get us to join the neighborhood watch. He sees me when I get home and is the only one who'd notice that I don't usually lock my car.

So they're either a creep that tries random people's car doors to leave notes or they're a creep that watches people when they get home and not lock their car doors.

I'm still pissed 343 never released the other armor options in Reach. The image in the defiant map pack montage was TOTALLY a different helmet 343 and no amount of saying it wasn't isn't going to make me believe it.
It absolutely was, and they teased it with the dolls in Reach and referenced that in Halo 5.

I can't remember the exact details, but I'm pretty sure it was a data issue that prevented them from being able to actually add new armors to the live game without certain clients shitting the bed.

The recon armor was Bungie exclusive until they started giving it out to random people. The first of which was some person that filmed themselves getting killed by a traffic cone, which became a meme.  The flames stayed employee exclusive.

And everyone obsesses over what they can't have.

Definitely preferred off-campus.  The privacy, quality, and price was a lot better.

On top of that, my school forced meal-plans on people living on campus, and it was a dry campus.

The only problems that come up are if your roommates are shitheads who can't take care of themselves or stop paying for things.

So apparently there's this phenomenon surrounding stain/stein where all the diehard stein believers are sharing memories from a different reality running parallel to ours.

Which is probably the most retardedly hilarious thought to entertain.  The best part is it's called the Mandela Effect, since apparently people thought that Nelson Mandela died in prison instead of becoming a president.

The giveaway ends on the 22nd, you've got plenty of time

Oh thank god. I would have been ripshit.

This was actually a hypocritical concern from the fans though as they bitched SO MUCH about AR sprays and beat downs in H3.

Yeah, but removing bleedthrough made everything else so awkward and everything equated to a kill-trade.
It was ridiculous that they decided to scrap that fix later on.

Also yeah, 343 was the only good thing that happened to Reach.  That game was basically unplayable before they stepped in.

The Mark IV armor is the ONLY armor I want in the game.  And the ONE day they give it out for logging in, Xbox fucks up the update and has to redownload all 91GB again.

So help me god if the update finishes too late...

The Flood / Re: what a disgusting fucked up society
« on: November 10, 2016, 07:02:31 PM »
1) Goes to show how shocking it is that calling people racists doesn't make them take the initiative to change.
shouldnt have to

non racists have no duty to convert retards into not being retarded

you should be able to call them out for being brainless and have them instantly realize theyre evil
The fact is that Hillary aligns with everything wrong with American government and Trump aligns with everything wrong with American society.  It's debatable which one is more important in a time like this.  Some people just don't want to end up pillaging and eating pigeons off the street from a collapse in the economy (a la Venezuela) or at war with Russia.  That doesn't mean they align with him on social, ecological, etc... issues.

Like I said before, I have no idea why anyone would find assurance in Trump over those issues, but at least that approach welcomes debate and a chance for them to reconsider their stance.  Plugging your ears, saying "nanannana racist can't hear you" just makes you look like the sheltered uninformed one...and you end up accomplishing the exact opposite of what you were trying for.  You end up taking the "tell it like it is" contrarians, getting them as irrationally defensive as you can make them, and fueling their underdog-complex so they can be damn proud of the choice they made.

And don't get me wrong and lump me in with half of the memesters here: I didn't vote for him and am disgusted with any window-lickers that had the retarded priorities that I described above.
