If it makes you guys feel any better, by the end of Halo 4's lifespan, people were able to figure out how to forge and mod tiered objectives and maps into the game. Maybe Halo 5 will give forgers something to work with. Get your game up bad kid.
And yet nobody understands why I absolutely hate competitive players
PSU is not the representative of all competitive players. How does generalizing and being equally as salty/hostile make you any different? Also, does this mean you personally don't use "muh vocal minorty" when waving off criticisms from competitive players, like so many other people do?

I'm sure it's not as terrible as people make it out to be. Imagine a series filled with hundreds of npcs with unique interactions that carry over across games, and a story that requires the player to make certain choices and sacrifices, or where their ignorance or laziness causes the loss of important people. Now imagine ME3, where the developers kept saying "your choices are all going to come together", having an ending that changes nothing except the color of the explosion that you make, and nothing more. You'd have to try so hard to have the edgy dissenting opinion. Because it's not a big deal. It's just a shitty interspecies sex simulator anyway. The game's sex scenes are so minor, but made to be such a huge deal by the internet.

I laughed hard. About an hour before beating it, I heard about the outrage, so I came in expecting shit. It was awful, and a giant middle finger, considering the game was advertised to bring meaning to all the choices you made throughout the series.

Yeah, that's amateur third-party DLC, not modding. That definitely won't last, because not many modders are going to want to lose popularity by associating themselves with greedy shitheads. People aren't going to want their asses widened for releasing broken garbage, either. The only people I think deserve any money are the people who make modded content comparable to AAA quality, and even then, I think they should only be allowed to advertise donations.
