I find subs to be the less cringy of the two, usually.

The sarcastic dialog choice, man. Makes you sound like a sperglord every time.

I completely blotted it out of my mind that you could spawn with plasma pistols and grenades.
How anyone found this multiplayer passable is beyond me.

But back to Prepatch Halo 4...What the fuck were they thinking? Why is the BR FIVE FUCKING BURSTS to kill? You all know I LOVE this game but I cannot abide this.

Dat DMR godmode and Boltshot.

I played something like 60 hours and got up until the part where they were having me revisit parts with modifiers on (no equipment, etc...  Mission 40 or something?)

It was an alright game.  It gets a lot of points for having stupidly amusing gameplay, but yeah, it's really lacking a lot of depth.  To me, it's like a modern Burgertime or Donkey Kong: really fun, but you can't spend much time focusing on the plot/setting.

As far as gameplay goes, my only gripe was how the open world was mostly empty.  It's a bunch of outposts plopped around a shit ton of barren land that's only there to be walked across.

Oh, and the conversation you have with Skullface in the jeep was cringe as fuck.

130
I'm also trying to keep a balance between Paragon and Renegade in conversations as best I can.

Enjoy lacking the resolve to handle any dispute whatsoever.

Do an incompetent-run.  Do everything wrong and face nothing but consequences.

Bloodborne
Last of Us Remastered
Uncharted 4
DOOM
Firewatch
Deus Ex MD
Far Cry 4

And I hear Nioh is really good.
Maybe The Last Guardian if you've got the patience for incompetent AI?

I think the worst part about Nintendo's DLC is how they market it.  They talk up their content as if we should be excited by the fact that they've employed a business practice 10 years late, not by the content itself.  It's as if they're like "holy shit guys, innit cool that we can sell you stuff after the game is out?"

It's so vague ("a new map feature", "a new story", "more challenges") that there's nothing to grasp at in terms of scale/worth, so it's unclear if it's even justified to exist at all.  I can get an idea of how big "a dungeon" is, but only if I compare it to past Zeldas.  The ones from the demo seemed somewhat smaller; maybe it's not, but I have no idea if it's even fair to compare these similar-sounding elements to previous titles.  Should I be mad that the "trials" challenge isn't available out of the gate like every other one?  I don't know.

And their entire pitch was more "This is how DLC works.  It's more of the game" than it was "we have DLC and this is why you should be excited".  The most they said about it, in terms of selling it, was "it is something new and fun".  A+

Obviously they're going to focus on it later, but it's a weak way to start off and accomplishes pretty much the opposite of what they want: appealing only to the people who will automatically see it as justified, while leaving neutral parties unconvinced and skeptics even more skeptical.

Lastly, while it might not be the case, they make it sound like disk-locked content, so give them another 5 years and they'll figure out that's not well received.

I'm also seeing a lot of people bitching about "no honor", referring to 2v1ing someone.  Like, it's actually grounds for them to not buy the game: because instead of retreating and utilizing your own teammates, it's better to invalidate the other team for not bending over for you.

I fail to see how that's any different than: "Awww man, I was playing Call of Duty and this guy kept killing me while I was shooting at his teammates.  So I sold the game."

Yeah, I hate the style.  Everything has needless complications: nothing is sleek.  All the setpieces need to be massive and flashy with a million dongles protruding out of them, and all the characters need to have these unnecessary extra additions.  The spartan armor doesn't look like believable armor: we now have these people with massive batteries stapled to their armpits and floppy-disk drives coming out of their forehead.  And it looks cheap, like we're watching a cheesy 80s sci-fi movie.

It's as if the design team crumpled up pieces of paper and then asked the 3D team to model it with a visor.

I've seen 95% of Steam reviews complaining about Peer to Peer, but I don't understand.  I don't see the issue, especially when compared to a big P2P title (such as CoD on consoles), where the same problems are also present and most people don't give a shit.

I don't personally notice any problems with host-advantage, and everyone's bitching about how host migration is just a completely unacceptable annoyance (and it's considerably faster than most games I've played).  Maybe it's just me, but it seems like a massive echochamber.

I'd feel pretty sad if Deci died TBH. Not even joking, it would be a sad ending to his tragic tale, knowing he didn't end up well.

I'd be mostly impressed, since he's already lived through so many explosions.

Python's a pretty decent language to learn. It's high-level, meaning the more intricate technical aspects are more taken care of for you.  Same goes for C#.

I had an easier time learning C++ than I did Java, but I think it's normally the other way around for people.

I recommend C++, Java, and Python.  StackOverflow is a good site for finding answers to arbitrary problems that at least one other person in the world has had before.  And if you have any basic C related questions, I might be able to help.

One of the things I love about Wind Waker is how expressive its characters can be. My favorite is probably Salvatore, I just love him.

Yeah, that's stupid.

Also love the recycled audio for it.

Probably Twilight Princess.  I love the game's art style and more mature tone, the combat is the smoothest the series has seen so far, the temples were unique (Yeti mansion and Ooccoo world), and I thought it brought a lot of new and entertaining mechanics.  I remember making a save solely to play the horseback fight with that huge goblin forever.

I haven't jumped too far onto the hype train for BotW, but it's definitely going to be an insta-buy.  I'm still a little skeptical that the open world is going to feel a bit barren, but overall it looks like it's going to have some really solid gameplay with an amazing story.

I was confused, because I thought all the people on this bird page on Facebook were anti-Semites, but I guess they use double parens to indicate that they're talking like birds, since birds are constantly shaking or something.

I like to think they're all anti-semitic, though.
