That's awesome, assuming you were planning for kids. We're not having kids until student loans are paid off and we've put a good dent in our Roth IRAs.
Yeah we wanted kids ;) I hope its all good here.

Well guys. My Wife is going to take a pregnancy test tomorrow if her period doesn't start tonight. There may be a good chance that I am going to be a Father!!!!

Will update if things change, or if we take the test.

200 MPH, this fucking guy. When will motorcycle guys realize not to go over 80 MPH?
whenever going 80 begins to actually feel fast.
Motorcycles are dangerous people, mkay.

Why do people think dead kids is any worse than regular dead people? I don't understand why killing kids gets people in uproar, but people don't give a shit about everyone else who dies.

Aside from that, I don't know if I'm numb to this kind of thing or something but the whole bike thing had me more interested than shocked.

Well consider this, One of the worst Hurricanes is barreling towards you, you have been ordered to evacuate your house that stands on 4 wooden poles, if you stayed there will be no help coming. Waste of life, and a horrible place for children to be.

The storm surge of Ike nearly reached my town. Thats about 15 minutes inland. Our entire coast line was re-shaped. Every single house was gone on the end closest to me.

But why is it only a horrible place for kids? Does that mean its a happy shiny place for adults?
Thats not what I'm getting at. Its horrible for anybody and everybody, I was just shocked at how somebody was not smart enough to GTFO when there is that bad of a storm coming, and you have a whole family with you. There were many others around there, but I am talking about this one since its the only one I had experienced.

To be fair, I'd probably stay in a hurricane to see what it's like.
I did for Rita at my families lake house. It was a nightmare. Trees crashing all around you, if you open the window all of the cool air will be instantly sucked out. The wind is relentlessly strong with Tornadoes everywhere. And on top of that, the aftermath was worse. It dragged a massive heat wave that made it impossible to sleep.

That sounds really cool.
There is nothing like it, it was thrilling while it was over us (the eye came over us too, everything got FREAKY quiet) but its not something I want to do again.

There was a family I heard about, they huddled up in their beach house and had their generator inside for some dumb reason. They all died from Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

Since I am in a sharing mood. I feel like discussing the horrific events that I have seen in my former years as a volunteer firefighter.

A wonderful experience it was as a whole. There were still some very haunting moments that plague my mind to this day.

I was in High School at this point in time. I always kept my radio in my truck in case I get a call when I left... Sure enough, one day that thing went off and said "Winnie/Stowell Volunteer Fire Department please be en rout to a 1050 Major (Code for: Bad Wreck)"

Only this was not a bad wreck like you would expect it to be. It was not some pile up, or a collision of two or more vehicles. Nope, it just so happened to be a Motorcycle. A Crotch Rocket to be exact. This guy had the bright idea to nearly top 200MPH on his bike on a highway.

He was going so fast that he did not notice the gaping pot hole in front of him. His front tire hit it, and threw him and the bike head over tail for over 100 yards.

it LITERALLY tore him down to nothing! The same thing happened with his bike. Where his remains ended, his bike began several feet onward. Just a heap of remains in front of what was seemingly red paint.

There was nothing we could do really, besides clear the bike and create a containment zone. Just seeing something like that, gave me a new outlook and gratefulness to be alive. The dumbest of things can go so wrong so fast.

Literally, this guy was alive just a few minutes ago at that moment. And then, gone.

STORY 2

This one was during the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. (Now you can guess where I live) We got called out to help search and rescue after the storm had passed. We had to go down to the beach, which was 15 minutes from us. This storm reshaped out entire coast line! Houses, land, everything was gone into the gulf!

The place pretty much looked like the wasteland in Fallout 3. Only much more surreal.

Well, once we were on scene. We started off searching the houses on the Bay side. The houses were nothing more than twigs and the cars were all piled together in the water, or buried half way in the sand. We started searching this one ruined house, and what we found was (for lack of a better word) horrifying.

Four bodies were there, covered in sand and pale as the clouds. It was very easy to tell that they were a family because it was a Husband and Wife, and two children!!!!!

GOD DAMN CHILDREN!!!!! No more than 7 years AT LEAST!

They had marking on their arms. It was faint, but you could still make it out. They wrote their social security numbers on each of their arms for identification.

Now, before the storm hit the entire area was under MANDATORY evacuation orders. Yet these people stayed, and kept their children in harms way. I don't know them, but to put your own kids in that kind of place with a storm coming!?

I still don't know what possessed them to believe that it as a good idea to this day... An entire family, gone because they did not head the warnings.

If only you could imagine my anger when I saw this!

In a way, me doing those youtube videos helps get my mind off of it.

Serious / Your Views on Corporal Punishment?
« on: January 17, 2015, 10:03:21 AM »
So, many people are slip when it comes to this subject. Some are in favor, some are not. Some view it as child abuse, some view it as discipline. What do you think of it?

Now, I was raised in old school style. If me or my little brother acted up, we got spankings. But it wasnt out of sheer anger, my parents took the time to explain why this was happening, that they love me and that I was doing something bad or whatever. I think your stance on it may come from how you were raised in your home.

I really don't see the reason to hype this. I've got doubts that many developers would even bother with the process, really.
Agreed. Loading screens now at most take a minute for the game to load. also something like this would most likely cause the game to take longer to load.
How about install screens? Heavy Rain had a unique one where it had you fold origami.

Its much better for you! Its exactly the same, it just has none of the harmful cat piss stuff in them. They are naturally grown when it comes to veggies and fruits, and they are not GMO's!

So why dont you eat organic?

Well, shoulda known this is what would turn up.

As someone who watches Videos a lot I love Game Nights. Groups of people getting together to play games and have fun all the while the editing is enough that it isn't constant ear rape.
this is what I was trying to get at in my post but poorly worded it
Set mic chat to go to speakers, then record your voice on a PC. Also wear headphones when you do this.

I wish I had a good place/ way to record
:(
I could make a killer tips and tricks video for Dragon Age

I have a question though, is there any way for multiple people to be heard via just you recording? I would be down for playing like goofy multiplayer steam games with a group. I feel like that could be entertaining

I just want to help in some way lol
You just gotta record the mic. I think there is an option.
on the ps4? Cool. I might record something next week and send it to you and you can tell me what you think.
Oh the PS4? You gotta set mic through speakers, and record your voice on audacity or something
