Do people no longer just play Pokemon games like back in the day? Just catching pokemon and going along with it? Now all I hear is things about shinies, pokebank and EV training.

Meh, imho the initial party doesn't really matter because about 90% of those pokemon are going to be scrapped anyway once I start building my competitive team. EV training means nothing on the initial playthrough.

...Who tries to bring politics into fucking everything. Literally everything he says has something to do with his shitty political ideology. Every single comment he makes has something to do with politics. The professor will make a remark about philosophy during his lecture, and the neckbeard will go "Yeah! Just like Conservative America!" Expecting everybody to laugh or something.  It's cringy as fuck. Sometimes I go to the cafeteria to get a coffee, and the neckbeard is loudly ranting about his ideology, and I can hear him from across the building. One day the professor was late for class, so we had to wait in the hallway for him to arrive and unlock the door? The entire time we're waiting the neckbeard is loudly debating someone. This man literally cannot shut the fuck up about politics for even a second. Oh, did I mention he's like 40 years old?
