Seems good, the only thing is fire blast on Salamance. It's got shit for accuracy and you already have arcanine. If you're worried about steel walling him you'd be much better off rolling with earthquake. Even crunch would be more useful for things like gengar or alakazam.
And defog on skymory. Nothing on your team really hates stealth rocks that much, at least not on an charizard of talonflame level. Maybe roll spikes to get more utility out of that whirlwind. Defog can be really annoying as it removes your stealth rocks as well
The Defog Skarmory is for Breloom and Salamence more than anything. I learned from X version to always have a Rapid Spinner/Defogger on my team. Stealth Rocks render my Breloom completely useless. Fire Blast Mega Salamence can two shot walls like Ferrorthorn, OHKO Skarmory, and completely annihilate most Ice types. Because of Fire Blast I don't have to ruin my Dragon Dance by switching pokemon. Actually, come to think of it, I think I'm gonna replace Skarmory with Forretress, since it can Rapid Spin rather than Defog, and it can still murder Fairy types.

ORAS is by far the best game for breeding. Continuous running, Daycare, and IV checker are all in one convenient location.

I find that the tiers should only be used as a team building resource. Being forced to stick to only a select number of Pokemon in a tier is annoying and greatly limits the fun. The tiers are not always accurate either. There are plenty of BLs, UUs, and RUs that can slug it out with OUs and Ubers. I prefer the traditional Nintendo method where the only banned Pokemon are the event Pokemon and major legendaries.
pokemon from lower tiers can compete in higher tiers, but pokemon from higher tiers cant compete in lower tiers. this year's international double battle champion won using pachirisu, an NU pokemon.
I find the tier system just ruins the diversity of everything. In an OU match, I am basically facing the same Pokemon over and over again. It's annoying. I want to be able to face some new threats with my beloved team, but can't because my team contains some OUs/Ubers, and hardly anybody uses lower tiered Pokemon in higher tiered matches. I've fought way too many Rotom-Ws and Landorus-Ts for the tier system to be fun anymore.

I think it should be made clear its a for fun tournament, that way more people will play. No reason to go full tryhard
I would be okay with that. First tournament For Fun, second tourney For Glory, although we won't settle it in Smash.
Sounds fair. First tournament for in-game regular teams, second tournament for competitive tryhard teams. EDIT: For those of you who can't readily access flawless pokemon, we could always do the tryhard tournament on Showdown.

The whole tournament is for fun anyway. The only rules in place are for preventing cheesy mechanics that ruin a fight and preventing people from getting the upper hand just by spamming legendary/event pokemon. We could also do a no rules free-for-all after the tournament is finished too.

Since we are having a Smash Bros tournament, then why not have a Pokemon tournament for X/Y/ORAS? Here are some of the hypothetical rules we could have: Spoiler We could implement Smogon's Sleep Clause, Evasion Clause. and OHKO clauses to remove cheese, and Nintendo's system of only minor legendaries and regular pokemon. No lolworthy Smogon banlists. So, anybody else up for this?
