Enjoy that defog 😊
not at the moment. I'm not really worried about battling atm. I'm pretty wrapped up in finishing the pokedex and dragon age atm. Seriously don't worry about it

Edit: I'm not sure how I quoted this but I can't be bothered to fix it
Okay then.

Wait, did Cheat break something?

Thanks again for that.

I feel like I should reward you for helping me get all those egg moves. Is there anything that you want bred?

So I just finished breeding my flawless Scizor and I'm not sure what to name it. I was originally going to name it Magnum because of dem Bullet Punches, but it came out female, so now I have no clue what to name it...

So, any suggestions?

I'm sure if it wasn't over the fucking top teenage movie romance it might actually add something interesting to the game.

i beat alpha sapphire yesterday, and i decided today that i'd breed a team that's as good at raping japanese kids as blacks are at running from cops. so i looked up a few guides and holy fucking shit, how do you losers have time for this shit? to get a decent pokemon, you have to catch like 50 different ones until you get the one with the right moves/stats, then you have to breed it like 100 times to get the right ivs. why would anyone do this?
Having a flawless Ditto helps immensely. Otherwise, don't even bother. If you need something IV bred, I can do it. Just make sure the Pokemon has the right nature and egg moves first.

I have a Colosseum Bonus Disk Jirachi (lvl 5) and a Faraway Island Mew (lvl 30), both cloned and untouched, if someone would like to make an offer.

I'm looking for Legendaries, primarily, and I obviously don't have a problem with clones.
I feel like I'd be ripping you off if I gave you any sort of normal legendary for those, however, I would be willing to trade a legit shiny Virizion for the Mew.

That's a pretty solid team. I'd consider replacing Arcanine with something else, though. Especially if you are planning to run leftovers.
Arcanine has served me pretty well. The only Pokemon I'm considering replacing is Excadrill, because I'm not a fan of Choice items. I'm just not sure what to replace him with. I need a good Rapid Spinner/Defogger that fits in well with the rest of my team. Excadrill gets the job done, but he's just too frail.

Agreed, he is very frail. I enjoy using a utility Regirock as my go to rock type.
I'm wondering if Tentacruel would be a good replacement:

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 224 HP / 252 Def / 32 Spe
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Acid Spray
- Sludge Bomb

It still serves as a good Rapid Spinner and Fairy killer, but gives me a bit of vulnerability to Electric types. But then again, I have Porygon2 to tank Thunderbolts and the like.
I know when I battled you your team was pretty Damn good (you had greninja instead of porygon iirc)

If you don't want exadrill and want something bulkier, scizor can learn defog
As much as I love Scizor, I'd have to go all the way back to Gen IV to get Defog as an egg move for it. Seems like too much of a pain in the ass. Also, I'm not sure what item I'd give it, since I already have a mega and can't stand choice items. I suppose I could use a Life Orb or something, but I'm just not sure.
I have a defog scizor in pokmeon y if you want to use it for breeding just say the word
I'm gonna end up breeding and testing both of them. I'll end up breeding Scizor eventually, but I think I'm gonna do Tentacruel first because it's easier for me to do.

Salamence/10
Salamence is love, Salamence is life.
Unless he was majorly nerfed, Salamence is really OP. Just for that your team should be fine.
Last I heard, Mega Salamence is one of the best Megas in the game, aside from like Mega Rayquaza, who's comparable to Brawl Meta Knight.
Mega Mence can make mincemeat of Mega Quaza.

The only pokemon that actually pisses me off is Mega Groudon, because it's a pain in the ass to counter.

I've been waiting for feedback on this for a long time, so I decided to post it here. After countless battles and testing, this is what my team finally came out to...

Spoiler
Salamence @ Salamencite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Return
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang

The main sweeper and centerpiece of the team. Intimidate, Dragon Dance, Destroy. DD for setting up, Return for STABbing and destroying anything that gets in Mega Mence's way, EQ for murdering Heatran and anything else that gets destroyed by it. I chose Fire Fang over Fire Blast due to the fact that Mence is a physical sweeper and will be DDing often, because a DD'd Fire Fang is more powerful than an unboosted Fire Blast. EVs in Atk for extra damage and Spe for added priority.

Azumarill @ Assault Vest
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Knock Off
- Waterfall

Serves as the dragonslayer, ghostkiller, and main switch-in for the team. Also the team's resident Water type. Aqua Jet for priority and killing Talonflame, Waterfall for heavy hitting, Play Rough for STAB and dragon slaying, Knock Off for coverage/support. Great for murdering Aegislash. EVs in Atk for extra damage, and EVs in HP for additional bulk. Assault Vest for added SpD. Serves as my main resistance to Dragon types.

Arcanine @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Flare Blitz
- Morning Sun
- Will-O-Wisp

Wall and resident Fire type. Serves as a deterrent for Ice types. Extremespeed for priority and Paralysis negation, Flare Blitz for STAB and Ice type killing, Morning Sun and Will-O-Wisp for obvious reasons. EVs in HP and Def for bulk. Leftovers for additional HP recovery. Serves as the main resistance to Ice types.

Breloom @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spore
- Bullet Seed
- Mach Punch
- Rock Tomb

Physical Sweeper, Resident Grass/Fighting type, able to neutralize most threats with Spore. Mach Punch for priority and STAB great for finishing opponents off, Bullet Seed for STAB and destroying Rotom-W, Rock Tomb for Fire/Flying coverage and lowering speed. EVs in Atk for damage, and Spe for priority. Focus Sash to guarantee I get my Spores/Rock Tomb out.

Excadrill @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide

Obligatory Rapid Spinner and Fairy killer. Also serves as a pretty good physical sweeper. Iron Head for Fairy/Ice killing and STAB, EQ for Fire/Steel coverage and STAB, Rock Slide for coverage and dealing with Flying types. EVs in Atk for damage, and Spe for priority. Choice Scarf for added priority. Serves as the main resistance to Fairy types and Electric types.

Porygon2 @ Eviolite
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Thunder Wave
- Recover

Specially defensive wall that serves as a hard counter to Mega Salamence's most common threats. Craps all over Greninja and anything else that dares try to hit me with an Ice Beam. Switch in, Trace, parahax, stall. That's really all that needs to be said. Has won me so many games that it now has a permanent spot on my team.

So, any weaknesses I should be aware of or changes I should make? It should be noted that I'm not shooting for any particular tiers with this team. The only rule I play by is no legendaries.

« on: December 27, 2014, 09:37:06 PM »
I use whatever the hell my Pokemon decides to come out of the egg as... If it works, it works. I'm not going to go out of my way to re-breed a flawless Pokemon just because it decided to come out female rather than male. That being said, I do have a tendency to prefer male Pokemon because they're easier to think up nicknames for.

>decent fighter on the 3DS with a large roster
>a remake of the worst Pokemon gen

Those are your choices. And the correct one should be obvious.
"worst"

>implying Gen IV isn't the worst

The generations of Pokemon are like the eras of history:

Gen I: Ancient Era, where It all started
Gen II and III: Classical Era, the golden age of Pokemon.
Gen IV: The Fall of Rome, where the series went to shit.
Gen V: The Dark Ages. WTF even is this generation? Gen V is just bad.
Gen VI: The Renaissance. Pokemon is finally starting to get good again.

Alpha Sapphire will last you a lot longer than SSB will. Much larger game with a much better endgame than X and Y.
