Not so much an issue of time as it is money. I can't afford to be buying meme games all the time during the periods of boredom between major releases. I generally have a set of games that I'll return to in cycles during downtime, competitive FPS generally being the one I play most. For example: When I get bored of a major release, I'll play Warband for like a week or two, then get bored of that and play PD2 or Civ for a week, then return to Planetside for a month, and then play RimWorld or something until I actually find a game that's worth buying. I need a competitive multilayer game to keep the variety in my rotation.

When there's no FPS games that suit your tastes on the current market? Not having a proper multiplayer game to fall back on sucks. I never liked CS, I don't care about PUBG or H1Z1, I don't really like Rising Storm that much, I have no interest in Battlefield or Seige, Titanfall 1 sucked so idgaf about Titanfall 2, and I never could get into Overwatch because it plays too much like a MOBA. Paladins feels much better but the grind is way too daunting for me to get into. TF2 is aging, Planetside 2 is dieing, and getting a proper Halo fix these days is hard. Why is the FPS genre so fucking awful right now?

Eldewrito isn't a good enough substitute. It's Halo 3 without most of the good maps. I love Sandtrap, Valhalla, and Avalanche as much as the next guy, but fuck I want Foundry, Sandbox, Orbital, Longshore, and all the other cool maps back. Also, I can't exactly go back to playing the old Halos either. I have no idea what happened to my old CE disc, I got rid of XBL years ago so I can't play Halo 3 or Reach, and I don't own an Xbone so anything there is completely out of the question.
