How does one guy open fire on 250 people before he's killed/apprehended. Jesus what was he carrying around a mini-gun.
There's talk of it being more than just a semi-auto rifle, which would be extremely unusual but not impossible.
And it's not that hard to imagine. People had nowhere to hide and were stuck in a partially fenced area. The shooter had an excellent vantage point. Add onto that the loudness of the crowd and concert (many people took gunfire for fireworks in Vegas) and it can take minutes before everyone realizes what's going on.
It was definitely full auto judging by the sounds from the video. It should also be noted that full auto weapons are either banned or very difficult to get in most US states. If the rumors I've heard are true the shooter didn't have an automatic weapons license to begin with.
