I hope that the new Zelda game has a crafting/alchemy system along the same lines as Monster Hunter, because that would be fucking amazing.

No parrying, no 2 handing, no mana, no Mage as your primary damage , no backstabbing
How is this like dark souls again?
Maybe Dark Souls wasn't the right comparison, but I was referring to the open-endedness and multiple ways you can go about approaching it. It's not like say Skyrim where you're basically shoehorned into one of three playstyles. Also, there is two handing, and there's also throwing swords and shit. Also, there probably will be magic, because that's been a mechanic in pretty much every Zelda game since forever.

I'd just like to point out how fantastic Zelda's new combat system looks. The whole thing gives me a very Dark Souls vibe in that there's just so many ways you can go about approaching it and the fact that you can truly use the environment to your advantage in order to get things done.

I wouldn't say it's even CLOSE to the size of skyrim. It takes hours to walk across skyrim. Earlier when they were going from temple to temple it took like 2 minutes and that was almost across the whole plateau
It really doesn't take that much longer to walk from Winterhold to Solitude along the northern coast. Skyrim ain't that big.

i'll chalk up the relative emptiness of the world to the fact that we're playing a demo and the game isn't finished yet
I'm not so sure. That starting area looks to be at least as large as Skyrim, and that's just a tiny portion of the game world. I feel like the relative emptiness is more a result of sheer scale than anything else.
it's definitely not as large as skyrim lmao
Maybe that's an exaggeration, but it's definitely not far behind. Even for a tiny portion of the map that's pretty damn vast.

Is this the longest game demo ever? Literally been going on for 3 hours now... Are Nintendo conferences usually this long?

I really like the idea of a Zelda with stealth mechanics. This game definitely is looking to be the next Skyrim. The world does seem a bit empty, but it's also fucking massive, so I'm not sure we can really judge that until we've seen other areas. I personally like my game worlds to have a bit of wilderness in between stuff. Remember how cluttered Oblivion was?

NEVER sell consoles, ever ever
Right, never sell them. But throw it away when its 2 generations old right?
-_-
uh, no?
http://sep7agon.net/gaming/suggestions-on-what-games-to-put-on-my-modded-xbox/
i told you to throw it away because it's modded, you idiot
i hate mods
Do you have any idea how much money softmodded consoles go for? A hell of a lot more than the original, especially if its a hard mod. Those go for hundreds of dollars in bidding and they get sold for that much. You're throwing money away when you throw it in the trash, moron.
Oh and in case you can't tell, ITS A SOFTMOD! I can easily uninstall the softmod and it can go back to be a regular Original Xbox that can only play Original Xbox games and DVDs, and no, I'm not going to fucking uninstall the softmod.
You hating mods is extremely illogical, but I can't dictate how you should think, and I'm not going to. Neither can you.
its my Original Xbox, I've had it since I was 10 years old and I'll do whatever the fuck I want with it.
Fuck off. This thread is about E3.

If the Wii U wasnt as dead as the Tony Hawk franchise this might have been the new skyrim. Lets' hope the NX isnt a fucking failure
Does it really matter? It's not an online game, and Skyrim also came out towards the end of the 360/PS3's lifespan.

Worried about how much depth this game will have.
Nintendo has a pretty good track record, and they tend not to fuck around when it comes to main series Zelda games. I wouldn't worry too much.

The real question is are they going to fix the fucking GTS.
The GTS has been around for nearly 10 years now. If they didn't fix it in Gen V, it's doubtful they're going to fix it now.

Sun/Moon looks ok, I'm very cautious though because X/Y and ORAS are a thing. I really like those two new pokemon, they're cool.
What's wrong with Gen VI? I can understand X/Y hate because X/Y had a nonexistent metagame, but OR/AS is one of the best games in the series, second only to Emerald and HG/SS.

Is the Zombie fad REALY not dead yet?
Because there are still people who enjoy zombies?
God forbid.
yes
if you haven't grown tired of zombies by 2008, you have an unreasonably high tolerance for repetitive generic bullshit
Seriously this. Of all the zombie games over the years, maybe 2-3 tops have actually been good.

As a PC gamer, if this new Zelda game turns out good then I'm fucking buying a Wii U. There's already more than enough killer apps already out that more than justify my purchase.

Gimp is another good tool for removing backgrounds from images too tbh
Paint tends to register blank backgrounds as a white image and adds unnecessary cropping time to your project.
also here is my srs submission thx Gimp's UI is really, really bad tho. For stuff like OP is doing I'd just use paint.net; it has less features, but the UI is way less shit. Still not an acceptable replacement for Photoshop though.
