The point I'm trying to get across is that you really don't have a leg to stand on when you go and vote for X party that you know isn't going to win, then proceed to throw a conniption fit when Y party you didn't vote for ends up losing to Z party you didn't vote for. This is especially true for those who live in swing states.
This really doesn't stand to reason, though. I'm allowed to be upset that enough people voted for Trump for him to win--and who I vote for is completely irrelevant. The fact is, voting for Hillary wouldn't have taken away any of Trump's votes. If Trump lost, I would have been just as livid that he even made it so far.
Okay, I understand now. We're just seeing this from two different angles: You aren't mad because you wanted Hillary to win, you're just mad because you wanted Trump to lose. Fair enough.

Tl;dr - I want the country to burn to validate my hate

good job

not only will you be 30, you'll be a 30 year old irrational man child
But I'll be right.

I don't want to burn the country to validate anything--I want the country to burn because it deserves it, period.
You knowingly threw your vote away on Stein in a highly contested battleground state, and then you have the nerve to go and throw a temper tantrum when the candidate you didn't vote for didn't win? Literally fuck off. You don't even have a leg to stand on here. You live in a swing state, you threw your vote away, you suffered the consequences. You have nobody to blame here but yourself.

i'm sorry, but i just don't agree with this.

verbatim didn't throw his vote away by voting for someone unlikely to win. we should NOT be blaming those who actually vote for this outcome. this is on the 46% of eligible voters who just stayed the fuck home, on top of a few smaller reasons.

i don't agree with verbatim's stance on this whole ordeal but he makes an excellent point. he voted for who he thought should be president, which is more than can be said about most of his generation.
I'm not angry at Verb for voting third party, because this is coming from a guy who voted for Johnson. I was angry at Verb because I was under the impression that he was bitching about the fact Hillary didn't win. Verb has every right to vote for whomever he wants to vote for. He could have thrown his vote away on Harambe for all I care. The point I'm trying to get across is that you really don't have a leg to stand on when you go and vote for X party that you know isn't going to win, then proceed to throw a conniption fit when Y party you didn't vote for ends up losing to Z party you didn't vote for. TL;DR: Don't vote Harambe then complain when Hugh Mungus doesn't win.

This is absolutely fucking disgraceful. Putting aside my initial knee jerk reaction, BLM is a domestic terrorist organization and deserves be treated as such. They've repeatedly shown themselves to be no different than the Black Panthers, and yet the media continues to embrace them. If the left is ever going to get any of it's credibility back after this election, they need to stop enabling groups like this.

Or we could literally divide the whole fucking country in half. Let Trump be the president of west and Clinton be president of the east.

Or we could go to war.
Good luck fighting a war with #NoGuns.

Well this is ironic. I expected this from Texas or some other deeply conservative state first.
I'd like to see them try. Their stance on 2A is going to come and bite them in the ass with a vengeance.

Dow Jones Industrial Average closes at a fresh all-time high.

Man what a fucked up society.
money >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ethics >>> morality

Nice argument you have. Considering Donald is 10000 times more ethical than Hillary. And we know damn well you wouldn't have posted this if she won.

Yawn. Stop bitching and go back to your safe space.

I know, >Cracked, but this article actually did a pretty damn good job of summarizing why Trump won and why he got such an unprecedented amount of support in the first place: http://www.cracked.com/blog/6-reasons-trumps-rise-that-no-one-talks-about/

Class and Verb, it might do you well to have a read.
Ok so that explains why he got the rural vote but as the article says, that's only around 40% of the population. Take a look the chart for voters by income he got a shit ton of support from "city dwellers" too

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-elections/who-voted-for-donald-trump-white-men-and-women-most-responsible-for-new-president-elect-voting-data-a7407996.html
If I had to take a guess, for the upper middle class/wealthy voters, I'd say that's just the regular Republican demographic that's voting along party lines. As for the whole urban Trump voters thing, it's probably a reaction to BLM.

Septagon / Petition to ban all discussion of the US election to Anarchy.
« on: November 10, 2016, 02:07:07 PM »
As we all know this was probably one of the most toxic and divisive US elections we've had since the 1860s. I think that for the good of the community we should just temporarily open up Anarchy and keep all the drama contained there until the dust has settled. People on both sides are riled up and it's tearing this community apart. I think that now would be a good time to have an Anarchy to let them blow off steam.

He was democratically elected ffs. I didn't vote for the guy either, but the American people did

We have s system that pretty explicitly does not actually represent the majority decision..but clearly the one who is retarded is the guy pointing it out
Once again: It's not democracy if people living in less than 5% of the country's landmass are making decisions for the other 95%. The Electoral College exists to ensure every part of the country gets fairly represented. We love it when it works in our favor, we bitch about it when it doesn't. Just get over it.

Okay we get it: You're too retarded to understand how and why the Electoral College was put in place. We wouldn't live in a true democracy if only urban faggots decided the outcome of every election.

I just wish people would calm the fuck down and give the man a chance. He was democratically elected ffs. I didn't vote for the guy either, but the American people did, so I at least owe it to them to show some damn respect and let the man do his thing. If we don't like it, there's always next election. Fuck, even if goddamn Hillary had won I'd have still given her a chance even despite the fact I despise her. People need to grow the fuck up.

Damn that was actually beautiful. Hilarious thing is it came from his anti-Trump documentary, but the whole thing backfired and it got taken completely out of context and used as a way to create more Trump voters.

I don't quite agree with the environmental stuff, but the majority of his plan seems pretty solid and I can strongly agree with a lot of his propositions. I'm interested to see how this will pan out now that the Republicans have complete control. Maybe for the first time in my entire lifetime the federal government will actually get something fucking done for once.

Why do pollsters keep underestimating the level of white working-class disenchantment and anger with the system?
Because they live in an echo chamber and attempt to silence anyone who tries to tell them otherwise.

Not Icy of course, but the Leftist media in general.

« on: November 09, 2016, 07:09:34 PM »
Let's hope the Democrats finally pull their head out of their ass and realize that alienating the majority of the population by screaming "RACIST!" and "SEXIST!" at everybody you disagree with is not how you win an election. I'd be happy to vote Democrat if they'll get their act together and end the hypocrisy and corruption, and even as a fairly right wing guy I'd have happily voted Bernie over Trump, but Washington needed a fucking wake up call. Whether we like it or not, Trump annihilating the establishments of both parties was for the best.

You don't even go here
He's just salty because he's a muzzie and will never be allowed into America.

But for real though Trump is a clown, but he may have been just the clown we needed so that we as a people can get the message across to Washington that we're tired of their fucking shit.

I am not a religious man, but the power of Kek is fucking real.
And I'm not even memeing here. This is like some W40K Chaos God level shit. At this point I genuinely would not be surprised if the Cult of Kek somehow memes itself into an actual fucking religion. If Kek could get Britain to leave the EU and Donald Trump elected, literally ANYTHING could fucking happen.
