I didn't know the Lycanroc's weren't version exclusive. I might have to use the day form when I play Moon.
They are version exclusive. Rockruff won't evolve into Lycanroc-Sun during the daytime in Pokemon Moon. It will only evolve into Lycanroc-Night at nighttime.
You can find the other Lycanroc in the wild at least, I caught a Lycanroc-Night in Pokemon Sun
I was unaware that you could catch them. Where did you find it?

The story just swerved into a really weird direction.

REAL Spoilers
- Lusamine was revealed to be an evil, crazy bitch (surprise, surprise).
- Lillie and Gladion are revealed to be her children--Gladion himself is working against her.
- Guzma was to have been working for/with Lusamine all along.

So, what about the rest of Team Skull? Are they in cahoots with Lusamine as well? What about the Aether Foundation? Faba's clearly evil, and Colress is hiding somewhere in the background--but what about all those low-level grunts? Do they know nothing about Guzma and Lusamine's plans?

What about Wicke? Why does everybody still trust her if she works for this evil, fucked up organization?

And what the fuck happened immediately following the manifestation of the Ultra Beasts? Hala had an encounter with UB02, and Tapu Koko intervened--but as soon as I traveled back to Iki Town, everything was back to normal.

And why exactly was Gladion working for Team Skull anyway?
Spoiler
Wicke isn't evil. She's loyal to Lillie/Gladion. Aether itself isn't an evil organization, it's just run by assholes.

PSA: Some based hacker created a bot that will automatically send you a 6IV Ditto if you put up a Ledyba on the GTS. So if you want to start breeding early, best to take advantage of that.

I can confirm that this works, because I just got a 6IV Ditto from this.

Can't we just drop a nuke on Detroit? It's not like the damage would be noticeable anyway...

My team at the moment
Dartrix - Owllie (like Ollie and Owl)
Wimpod - Greg
Yungoos - Nibbler
Trumbeak - Top Pek
Cubone - Numbskull

I have the cells for Zygarde and Greninja is in the PC until I catch up to it in levels
My team:
Decidueye - Elusive
Machamp - Macho
Starmie - Mimi
Lycanroc-Night - Dug
Salazzle - LiftsHerTail
Lunala - Nebby

I never really bothered with Greninja. Didn't seem versatile enough seeing as Decidueye, Machamp, and Lycanroc all get Dark coverage. A Greninja without Protean is about as useful as a Serperior without Contrary. Starmie fills effectively the same roll but with access to Natural Cure, Recover, and electric coverage, far more useful imho.

Are people just thirsty for female Salandits? I put mine on the GTS and got the Litten I asked for in minutes

It took a minute to find another female too, I'm about to ask for a Popplio

edit: i can't believe that worked both times
Female Salandits are really hard to get. I believe the gender ratio is 87/12 or something. If I were you I'd recommend trying to get a Mareanie off the GTS too. Preferably with Regenerator. Those things are stupid hard to catch. Even more so with its HA.

Speaking of which, if anybody here was able to get their hands on a Regenerator Mareanie, I'd be willing to trade one of my Naive Pheremosas for it. Once I finally get access to one I'm going to breed the fuck out of it and start dumping onto the GTS/Wonder Trade.

It arrived late for me too and I have Prime. That's why I preloaded Moon onto my 3DS just in case.

I would move if I had the means to, but I'm not sure I'd ever want to leave the 'burbs. Too urban and you get buttfucked by cost of living and run a much higher risk of getting mugged or something. Too rural and it becomes difficult to find work and you're pretty much fucked in the event you need to go to the emergency room or something, and you also don't get any of the silver linings like good internet or reasonably fast Amazon deliveries. Ideally I'd love to live out in the middle of Alaska, but I realize that it would probably be pretty shit.

Wow, I can't believe it, but it looks like Decidueye is actually gonna end up being OU viable as a defensive defogger/trapper. I never thought he would be above RU. I'm pleasantly surprised.

Isn't the whole point to prevent sprawling cities like New York and LA from swinging every election in their favour?

Seems pretty reasonable IMO.
Yeah, now we have fuckhead rural counties swinging the elections in their favor. Brilliant.
Yeah, it's not like they're the ones producing all your food or anything. Farmer Brown has every right to have his voice heard as you do.

Keep it as is. We all love to bitch about it when it doesn't work in our favor, but the reality is it's the most balanced system we have. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Sounds good, I'll probably pick it up fairly soon then.

How is the difficulty though?
XY/ORAS was mindnumbingly easy, I get why they wanted to make it less grindy but I don't think I ever got to a gym and went 'well fuck' during the battle. Maybe it's to do with knowing the games better than when I was younger but I think there was a lot of design choice that made it a piece of cake.
I wouldn't say mind-numbingly easy this go-around, but at this point, I've conditioned myself to make the games more challenging in my own ways. That said, I honestly had a couple "well shit" moments against some of the Totem Pokémon.

Just turn off the Exp. Share, avoid using Z-moves, and try using Pokémon you've never trained before. It also may not hurt to impose some kind of item restriction, but that's approaching nuzlocke territory.
Yeah I'm not gonna use Exp share, Z moves sound kinda cool though.
I did that with Oras actually, I picked out a team of pokemon that I hadn't really used before (barring Aggron who is a must for every playthrough ever) but it was still a bit easy.

You wouldn't happen to know of a randomiser for S/M would you?
The trouble with full dex ones is they pick stupid shit like legendaries from the wrong game, but something that gives you a list of 6 obtainables in SM would be great for mixing things up.
I played with Z-moves and EXP share on and some of the totems were still pretty rough. I believe Exp share was nerfed this gen so some grinding is still required to get an evenly leveled team even when using it. I've noticed the game can be very easy if you use the Pokemon you get from various trades in Pokemon Centers. You can get an early Machop right before you do the Normal trial, and that thing will stay relevant throughout the game even if you don't decide to fully evolve because it gains exp ridiculously fast due to being a trade mon. Avoid those and you should be fine.

One of my friends managed to catch something with Pokérus, and now we're spreading it amongst ourselves.

Also, if you've already beaten the game you're a faggot. Taking it slow master race.
I didn't rush the game at all. I just played a fucking LOT. Besides, I still have the postgame quest and the enteirity of Sun to play through. I'm holding off on those until I get a bunch of Synchronize Umbreons/Espeons with various natures so that I can have legit competitive ready legendaries for once.

Aside from the obvious P2W/horrible performance deal breakers, if it's an Activision or EA title, I won't even touch it.

As far as art style goes, I'm not exactly a fan of weebshit, because more often than not I find it to be extremely cringey.

So which is the best starter?
Objectively speaking? Probably Primarina because of her god tier typing and movepool. Decidueye is still way cooler though.

Oh yeah, and I before the E4 I ended up boxing Zygarde for Lunala, because the game pretty much guilt trips you into keeping it in your party.

Also, you can acquire a Machop very early on from a trade in a Pokemon Center. Strongly recommend getting it and evolving it on the GTS when it becomes a Machoke. Machamp was a real hero of my playthrough. Perhaps even more than Decidueye. Absolute bro tier Pokemon.

I heard best doggo is actually worst doggo because of his horrendous move pool.

Does Aerodactyl make him redundant?
Dunno, I decided to keep night doggo because he was my third strongest Pokemon and I didn't feel like grinding Aerodactyl. Lycanroc actually ended up being a godsend for the Elite 4.

>Zygarde 10%
How early/late do you even get it?
Depends on how good you are at finding cells, but you unlock the ability to assemble it about halfway through the third island. The best part is you can repeatedly assemble and disassemble Zygarde until you get your preferred nature, so no soft resets involved.

So my actual team came out quite a bit different than my planned team.

Ended up being:
>Decidueye
>Machamp
>Starmie
>Lycanroc-Night
>Salazzle
>Zygarde 10%

Though I may end up swapping Lycanroc for Aerodactyl because his movepool is so bad. Decidueye and Machamp have been my MVPs.

So Amazon still hasn't shipped my copy of Sun yet and the game comes out tomorrow, which leads me to believe I'm not going to get the game until Monday. Pretty pissed about it since I specifically requested this weekend off so that I could play. I work in a grocery store so next week I'm gonna be so damn busy that I'll barely be home enough to play. Guess I'm buying Moon on the eShop and preloading it.
