i associate superman more with conservatism actually
the movie's depth doesn't really lend itself to this degree of analysis though
He's media and against a man taking Justice into his own hands. He is a liberal. Batman is a wealthy man taking justice into his own hands. That's almost Ayn Rand in its story. Maybe in the social sense. But Superman is a liberal. He's even in the media.
Ayn Rand would have the utmost contempt for Bruce Wayne for sending monthly checks to a crippled ex-employee.
She would have a larger problem with Superman going around and saving people, regardless of work ethic at no charge. Bruce Wayne is a flawed version of her ideal.
