Total War: Shogun 2: Not a whole lot of unit diversity, and unless you plan on buying the unit DLC's, the faction specific units are just pre-existing units with slight stat improvements.
X-COM 2: Doctor Vahlen doesn't appear in the game outside of a DLC, and I dislike it that pistols were removed from all classes except for the sniper class.
Mount and Blade: Warband: Viking Conquest: graphics could use a touch up and I wish the world map were expanded further to France and/or Sweden if not further.

I've played a lot of games, and I've been immersed and invested in the plot, but sudden and shocking violence or the horrific implications of something depicted within a video game have never really phased me to the point of being particularly memorable or having a notable impact.
