Sucky. Water plants for an hour, load mulch into customer's cars, etc... that's what I'm doing a year after college. Women don't understand my dilemma, so I give up trying with them. Didn't get the tech job that I had a second interview for. Beard grows out because I don't care anymore. Only solace I can get now is when I'm reading or playing guitar. Can't wait for Mad Max this weekend, I hope the reviews are as good as it says.

Genuinely don't even know why this series is still going. Haven't played any since the abomination that was ACIII.
So what the fuck happened after Desmond then? Have those weird hologram aliens taken over the world yet, or has Ubisoft completely dropped the retarded sci-fi elements and focused on the history stuff?
They've prety much dropped all the modern day shit, thankfully.
In the AC4 and Rogue modern day stuff you play as a floaty iPad. In Unity the modern day stuff is literally just a small cutscene everyy few sequences.
You should have held out for one more game and played AC4. Great game.
So what's the story so far in regards to the present day? Last I remember some alien hologram chick was about to take over the world and I've heard nothing since.
Desmond died for our sins. Abstergo's branched into the gaming market, and uses the animi to produce historical video games. Rebecca Crane now works at Starbucks and Shaun Hastings works as a delivery boy. Oh, and the boyfriend of the alien hologram chick has spent the past several millenia or so since the last extinction level event reincarnating into various people that all look like a pedophile with heterochromia, and eventually ends up working for Abstergo's IT department and tries to kill a nameless Abstergo employee,because he's trying to bring his girlfriend back from the dead or something. I think that's more or less what goes on in Black Flag during the present.

I'm still somewhat salty that they went with London, England for their next major Assassin's Creed game, and consigned China and India to the spin-off pile. Since, you know, it's not like the last AC game wasn't set in a sprawling European metropolis or anything.
