One of my biggest annoyances about Mass Effect 3 was that the writers seemed to be trying to force me to have some sort of connection with the kid after about a minute of him being a mopey little shit.

I dislike the expectation that I'm supposed to have an emotional attachment to someone on the basis that their balls haven't dropped.
