Sick bro. Fuck, I wanna drop tune one of my guitars so I can learn some shit like Infester and Incantation. Or at least, if not tuning down that low, learning some Hell Awaits era Slayer.
Speaking of Infester. Why is the opening to that album so fucking killer? It's permanently stuck in my head. The opening with the guitars and drums just busting out of fucking nowhere with that riff, until they momentarily stop just to unleash a fucking evil fury leading into the meat of the track.

I wanna get humbucker pickups for my guitar. You play guitar? I thought you played like jazz piano. Idk, I thought I heard you say piano, not guitar. But yeah I wanna drop tune my guitar too and get humbuckers and just play some metal or something. I always wanted to get into writing my own riffs and stuff, but I don't feel like I have the playing or musical knowledge ability to do something like that yet. That's the eventual goal though, is that I can get good enough to write my own songs.
I play both. And yeah, but Metal requires little musical know-how to play write. Beherit is completely devoid of any theoretical knowledge, for example. It just requires some creativity. It's hard for me, too.

I had literally no clue Inverloch were until I clicked this link lol Can't really listen to the whole thing right now, but the first track sounds pretty solid. Still got their compositional skill from their diSEMBOWELMENT days, but it's lacking that charm diSEMBOWELMENT had. But if you step back and refrain from comparisons like that, it's really solid. Not mindblowingly unique but good shit.

"Represent" is the wrong word to use. "Express" works better. Some art may represent nothing in particular--that's sort of the idea of abstract art. The point is, what does the art express, and how does it make you feel?
If you want to have a cynical outlook on art, and claim that all abstract art makes you feel nothing, without even TRYING to read into it, that's fine--but realize that you're still talking about your personal tastes, not art.

No, I haven't listened to it yet. I'm not a huge fan of listening to albums on the computer, tbh. I don't know what it is, but I find it a lot harder to internalise the music when I'm not using the disc. It's fucked up, but I found myself enjoying "Closer" a lot more once I re-setup my stereo.

While I really don't care for Jackson Pollock or the liberal art student cult that worships him, some abstract expressionist paintings can make for really cool interior design pieces to just really bring a room together.
And unfortunately, that's about all they're good for. but I appreciate some abstract art.
