The Flood / Re: I have seen the light, and now agree with Verb
« on: March 23, 2016, 08:42:07 PM »
I'm just happy that I can actually have a conversation with people about it, and I can actually have people understand where I'm coming from. That's the most important thing to me at the end of the day. You don't have to agree with a word of what I say--it would be great if you did, but I just want people to see where I'm coming from more than anything else.

I don't want people to think I'm just crazy, or depressed, or even "genocidal," as challenger would put it. I always thought these were just lazy put-downs used only by people who are afraid of new ideas, and to see that people here are a lot more open towards the idea now? I have to say, it makes me pretty happy.

I appreciate that people can actually put some thought into it, even if they still don't agree.
fuck you faggot

I don't agree with Verb because of my own conflicting beliefs, but I fail to see the ridiculousness in his thought process that everyone else sees. I believe in something beyond this life, so I cannot subscribe to his beliefs, but if you were to prove to me beyond any doubt that life is meaningless unless we create the meaning ourselves and build some Utopian society on that belief, then I don't see what's so hard to grasp about anti-natalism.

As it is, I certainly think a large number of people out in this world should not fucking have kids.

Outta my way Fender fucking shits

SG's are great. Only Gibson I would buy.
Same. Gibson is fucking overpriced out the ass, too. I'd never buy anything past the standard in that pic. You're just paying for largely useless nonsense.
I kinda wanna try out an Ibanez guitar. I know they make solid Bass guitars. But I want to hear the regular Electric ones.
My limited experience with them has been fine. They have really thin necks, which I'm not crazy fond of. I have a Jackson with a thin neck that's nice, but my massive fucking hands prefer thick necks like Gibsons.  If you prefer/are comfortable with thin necks though, they're pretty solid. I've always found them to be a little on the brighter side, though, which is also why I prefer other guitars.  But depending on what you're after, it could be up your alley.

I do have an Ibanez hollowbody, which I like, but it feels a lot different from the solid bodies I've played. Not just the way you'd think (body size and whatnot) but also the neck feels thicker.

It doesn't require perfect pitch to learn by ear lol.

I feel like Rocksmith is a gimmick. I'd just self teach if I was you.

You actually have to try Rocksmith before you can call it a gimmick, and I disagree. I consider it to be a great piece of software for learning.
What is it actually like? Maybe I'm not really familiar with how it works.

You learn at your own pace. The game actually has lessons on Shifting, Scales, Chords, Palm Muting, Sliding, Bending strings, etc and the Riff Repeater when learning a song where you control the speed and the difficulty on how many notes to play whether its the entire riff or just the really simple basic notes or even half. The game will gradually increase the difficulty as you get better. This isn't guitar hero where you just push buttons. You have to own and play on an actual electric 6 guitar or base and plug it in via Rocksmith USB tone cable or really any tone cable to your PC or console.

You can even learn bass with this game. There is also Guitarcade, a mode where you can play arcade games that help teach you scales and chords and whatnot. All using your guitar. The game even has a tuner and you need to adjust your tuning depending on whatever song you're going to learn or play.

Best part is if you have it on Steam like I do, you can add custom tracks from this one website. Its how I got Du Hast on there.

The game is literally aimed at helping you play guitar if you are a noob like me. It has a whole bunch of questions when you first launch it such as if you're right handed or left handed, do you want to play lead, rhythm or do bass, do you have a 3+3 or 6line head stock, etc.

You would also need to make some noise at the beginning and make sure your guitar is all the way up at 10 with volume and tone. Otherwise the game will increase its gain really high just to barely get the sound.

So that's Rocksmith in a nutshell. Its not like Guitar Hero or Rockband where you use a fake guitar controller to just push buttons.
That's actually kind of rad, and not nearly as cheap as I thought it would be.

The game is $40 on Steam if you want it. Its on last gen and this gen consoles too, but PC version allows you to install custom DLC. That's just something you can't do with the consoles unless your entire console is softmodded.
I don't need it, but for a newfag it sounds pretty solid.

I liked parts of Man of Steel, but I am sick of Snyders shit, and kind of expected this to blow. I still think Affleck looks cool, and I still like Cavill, but that skinny greasy fuck as Flash and that anorexic brown chick as Wonder Woman? What the jesus fuck

Not to mention his trademark le edgy dark shit that I am so fucking tired of.

Snyder's a fucking hack, but don't hate on the dark themes the DCCU is going for. At least it's different than the family-friendly Marvel movies, albeit, worse off for it.
But to me, if you want to do "dark and gritty", you have to do it right. Snyder is fedora tier. Daredevil manages to be pretty fucking dark while still handling it maturely, and at the same time juggling the more campy aspects (The Hand with their ninja le katana shit).

Snyder films are really just depressing, and not even in the introspective or thought provoking kind of way. It's just immature. Similar to how I feel about the Nolan Batman movies, though I think Nolan handled the mature/darker themes in those movies much better than Snyder did in Man of Steel, even though I actually still enjoyed Man of Steel as the decent movie it was.

Jamming to Dystopia, Discharge and fucking Bach this week.

What a combo.

Loaf, I know you already know this, but Dystopia fucking slays. I challenge anyone to find me a band that reeks of misanthropy like Dystopia does.
Total Abuse - Excluded

One of the best records I've ever heard and it came out this year or last year I think.

Rectal Hygienics - Even The Flies Won't Touch You

Gay Kiss - Fault

Anything by the band Sexdrome

This is the kind of shit I listen to mostly these days, it all delivers this vibe, all of it is amazing.

this shit is awesome. It's a track from an unknown artist off a posh isolation various artist compilation

YouTube

Also try Beketh Nexehmu's first LP.
What the fuck is that Untitled shit? Sounds pretty rad but it's like Black Metal vocals but Emo instrumentation, only not in the fucking poser gay way.
IDk it sounds like post punk to me, not emo.
It reminds me of a less gay version of William Bonney

Is Kingpin autistic

No, Vincent D'Onofrio is just a shitty actor.
What's it like being fucking wrong all the time
You tell me.
I can't because I'm always right.
That's exactly what someone who's wrong all the time would say.
Yeah because I was quoting you.
Joke's on you, I was just channeling my inner-Jim.
But the whole "Jim" persona is just me parodying you.

Turkey is a figment of your imagination. You've been talking to yourself the whole time. The proof is right in front of you.
So if Turkey is a product of my mind, then by extension he is a part of me, and since I, Jim, am wrong all the time, then Turkey must also be wrong all the time as well.

Well I can't argue with this. But then again, you're still just talking to yourself.
I always win.
