Tools. Collecting them. The more you have the more you can tinker, dismantle, or assemble things. Doesn't matter what it is, but if it's mechanical or wood oriented, it's good to go.
Manuals are nice too. I found one for my old clunker of a vehicle and as I go along I'll learn the inside and out of it so I can keep it going through the years.
And, books of course, on subjects you're interested in. Get yourself a small library's worth of references.
And parts. Collecting parts is always fun too. Specially if you can use them or repair them. If you're good enough you might even be able to restore them.
This is really cool advice honestly.
Are ya'll stoned? I don't remember you being so......whatever this is. It's strange.
But really, the most solid of anything up there is tools. You cannot go wrong with more tools cause you'll have an option for everything out there.
uwot
And yeah I especially like that idea if I decide to get into woodworking which I think I will.
I dunno. I don't remember you as being so, fuck, I don't know. Anyway. Depends on what kind of woodworking you want to do. You've got a fuck ton of avenues to approach.
You thinking of construction like furniture?
Or stuff like carving?
Painting or varnishing?
I can have my serious moments.
And I was thinking about just learning to build furniture and stuff. Carving is cool as well, though.
In my experience furniture is a little tricky. Cause you can't make fuck all without the saws. Those are all a little bit pricey. If you are serious about it and you really do get around to experimenting with furniture, I have some advice for ya.
Never rush yourself when building furniture, or anything.
Woodworking of any kind is a meticulous kind of craft. It's not one to be rushed, unless you want shit results. If you measure something out and it doesn't seem right, don't pass it off. Take another measurement just to be sure.
And, most important, read up on your saw safety. Ya can't be afraid of them when you're using them. But you also, have to stay aware of whether what you're doing is safe or not. Best of luck to ya if you look into it.
Thanks man I appreciate it. I figure it might be best to look for classes if I wanna get into it. Seems like it would be easier that way. But the patience is part of what draws me to it interestingly enough. I like to take my time with stuff when I can.
That's a good thing to practice. Meticulous stuff can be fun, especially when you pull it off.
Yeah and I think it's more rewarding that way sometimes

I do a lot of writing. I've spent the past year or two building a science fiction universe, and I've recently started a fantasy one.
Yeah I might fuck around with that. The only thing I've written in the past few years has been that erotica I posted on anarchy lmao

Lifting.
holy shit how did I forget about this
Jim, get into lifting too
The past two years of my life have been the best years of my life, and I attribute it to me getting into bodybuilding. It's good for your health, both physically and mentally, and it raises your self confidence to a much higher level. Passes time in a productive, challenging, and enjoyable way. Couple it with improved diet and you'll feel much better overall about your mind and body.
I exercise and eat a healthy diet, but I've never enjoyed exercising outside of a few sports. I can't see lifting as being something I'd enjoy doing
You should at least give it a shot.
Eh I've gone to the gym a few times before but I never enjoyed it.

Collecting Hot Wheels is still something I do
Do you collect Hot Wheels?
Yeah, do you?
Well I used to but since I don't have a job or money I stopped.
I have never actually met anyone who collects Hot Wheels
Well I'm the first.
This Twin Mill 2 is my favorite Hot Wheels car of all time. Loved it ever since I played that awesome Hot Wheels racing game on the N64.
I have one just like this except it has a He-Man and the Masters of the Universe paintjob.

It's not something I'm into necessarily but I always thought Hot Wheels were dope

I want a new hobby so I can meet loose women in their 30s to 50s willing to get down and dirty with a naive and sexually frustrated shut-in. So you want to be a milf pick-up artist?
But no really I'm just bored. I don't really like video games anymore I've seen you around the clubhouse.
This might be a horrible place to ask because I know you're all megaturbonerds who still play video games, but do you guys have any interesting ideas for hobbies? I've looked into woodworking and making my own clothes specifically, but I am looking for other options too. I would get into hiking if I didn't live in California.
Depends on what you mean by interesting. Have you thought about sculpture? Casper knows about that if you catch him (or did already in the thread, I didn't read it).
1. Yes 2. Yes but I don't play any games anymore. I play Kingdom Hearts and Dark Souls sometimes but that's it really. 3. You mean like sculpting with clay? That could be cool too I suppose. I might look into it.

Poetry?
You mean like writing it? I've thought about writing, but not necessarily just poetry.
Yeah you should write some lyrics, get into music. Learning to play an instrument/vocals seems like the most obvious hobby for you. Or for Loaf even as well.
Lol me and Loaf already are into playing and writing music. Writing is nice too though.
What do you play?
I play guitar and piano. I study Jazz but I write whatever I feel like writing. I don't do it often enough though because I am ridiculously self critical

Jim, get into cooking. Bitches love that shit.
I already know you play music but you should take advantage of that as well. If you don't write your own music already start learning how and write some sexy love songs.
Making your own clothes is a good one too, makes you stand out from the dudebros
As much as girls say they want a "bad boy," they're full of shit. Most girls are still obsessed with Disney-tier prince charming shit but they don't want to admit it
Didn't even see this post sorry about that. Cooking I am kinda iffy about but I am super interested in making clothes. Woodworking and making clothes still seem to be the favorites for me here, and there's no reason I could do both.
