Have there been any superhero movies lately that weren't DC or Marvel?
Would you count Dredd?

Seems pretty clear to me that this is the case. Superhero movies are a fad now, and the only people who will keep them sustained are the diehard fans that still read comic books today. It's a good thing, though, because the people who actually do care about superhero movies will keep making them, and those that only want the profit will look elsewhere.

I am not entirely clear on the definition, but judging from the charts made by the gay users of rateyourmusic, I don't like it.

Drake is the best rapper of today, if not all time. I'd even say he's one of the best musicians of all time. Most number ones, platinum sells on all his work, and a Grammy. Not to mention he bodied meek. You can't touch him.
Stop
Is that all you got? Couldn't contradict the fact that he has numerous awards by actually music critics and is selling in the millions constantly? Okay.
Being popular doesn't equate to being good. The masses don't seek out good music, they just listen to what's being shoved into their faces by big labels.
You guys keep making this argument, but you're forgetting good is subjective. Let me break it down. Drake has millions of fans, and those fans like his music. Thus there are millions of people who thinks he's good. And in regards to labels, they're not just going to sign someone who is bad or they'll lose money. And let's not forget Drake is a Canadian Jew from the suburbs who acted on a teen sitcom. The rap game isn't going to accept him if he's anything less than good.
the labels do not care if he is OBJECTIVELY good, and it's impossible to truly say that an artist is OBJECTIVELY good as far as we know.
They will sign him if he brings them money because a lot of people like him. That doesn't mean he's good objectively, that means that to many people he is subjectively seen as good.
This is what I've been saying, Jim. Also it really depends on the label as to whether or not they think you're good. They could sign a guy who is building momentum as an independent or they could scout out people who have legit talent. On the issue of Drake, he did a few tapes and pulled some strings to where Wayne listen to it and signed him. Wayne had to think he was good to some extent. Ans once Drake got put on by YMCMB it was over. He is on top of the rap game due to talent, because there are people signed to YMCMB that we haven't even heard of.
But what you are trying to say is that an artist is good BECAUSE people like them. That is not the case.
I don't see how you can easily measure whether something is good besides opinion on a grand scale.
In my deeply elitist heart I like to believe there is some hidden means of measuring quality that will one day prove my glorious taste in things to be the correct one, but everything is probably just all subjective and cannot truly be measured by anything other than your own emotions.

I can count the number of good rappers on my two hands. Drake is not one of them. Rap in general is a heap of dogshit, and you are stupid normie scum for listening to shit like Kanye or Drake or whatever nigger is trending these days.
That's just like, your 'pinion, man. Plus it's trendy to hate on it, anyway.
I honestly have to say I didn't really like it at first, but it has grown on me.
What do you listen to that makes your bandwagon opinion so valid?
Aka:logthefuckoff
But most rap is actually shit. It's all the same, hoez and money.
And I do like some rappers, by the way.
The lyrical themes in Hip Hop are not necessarily an important aspect of the genre, as what is more important is wordplay, "flow," production, etc.
You haven't listened to "most rap" so you have no reason to make such a retarded statement as "most rap is actually shit."
I've actually listened to a LOT of rap, so I can back my statement up with that. I went through a rap phase a while back.
Have you ever actually sat down and listened to Korn's S/T album in it's entirety?
Considering how many Hip Hop artists there are, you cannot possibly know how "most" of them sound just by listening to "a lot."
No, I've heard enough to know it is not music that I like.
A lot as in most who have gained any notability.
What songs in particular did you hear?
Notability means nothing. The style of music played by popular Hip Hop artists is vastly different from the style played by Hip Hop artists further from the spotlight.
I don't remember their names.
Well if you could care to show me one of those obscure artists I'd be more than happy to give it a listen. I always like finding new people to listen to.
I don't know enough Hip Hop to do that. I can only think of Danny Brown, who isn't really obscure anymore.

selling=/=good
Just look the Beatles.
Selling = people consume it, and in the entertainment industry, people constantly consuming it means it's good. People won't buy or listen to his music if he was as bad as people claim he is.
I can't believe I am replying to this obvious bait post, and I especially can't believe I am replying with the following statement, but
music is mostly subjective, so album sales do not necessarily equal higher quality of music.
Yes, my argument isn't saying he is objectively good. Subjectivity is why I'm saying he's selling a lot, because those people subjectively think he's good. Also he has tons of awards by music critics so I could argue he's good from an analytical perspective too.
That doesn't mean he's good, it means that many people feel he is good. I understand he sells a lot, but really I am more inclined to believe that he is marketed well, and that is why he sells so much. I feel the same about most popular artists. That doesn't mean they're good or bad, but that is most likely the way it is. Music critics have truly no basis to analyze music except from their own emotions, so they are not capable of telling you the objective quality of an artist.
