No, I think they're both great and that they both equally have they're own disadvantages and advantages.
PS3: Pros, -Better exclusives than Xbox -Better downloadable games -Free online -PS+ gives more free games than Xbox and did it before Xbox -Better controller for everything but shooters -Isn't NEARLY as likely to die as an Xbox 360 -Comes with rechargable controllers -Graphics were generally better than the 360 Cons, -No cross-game chat Xbox: Pros, -Controller is good for shooters -Cross-game chat Cons, -Horrible hardware, they used to die all the time from various issues -Shitty selection of games with only a handful of good exclusives -Bulky and clunky controller -Used to be loud as shit -Online subscriptions that didn't even get games with gold until after Playstation did it first -The worst fanbase -Horribly ugly dashboard (every single version was ugly as sin) -Used to scratch up your games inside the console at times -Doesn't come with rechargeable controllers -All of the issues I have said Xbox's used to have weren't even fixed until YEARS after it came out

They don't fit the hands of a fully-developed human being.
Their control sticks accomplish the exact opposite of precision.
Triggers curve outward, making them slippery for trigger-fingers.
Sony thought the gyroscope wouldn't be the biggest drag the console had to offer.

They fit mine just fine; more comfortable than an Xbox controller.
The control sticks are PERFECT for everything BUT shooters as I've already said. If all you do is play shooters then yeah, go with the Xbox, you have shit taste anyway so it's a perfect match!
That's why they used the R1 and L1 buttons as "triggers" which is vastly superior. I will agree though that the curved surface of the R2 and L2 needed to be fixed, but I understand that it has been with the DS4 do that's nice.

They're slippery and awkward for everything, not just shooters. I didn't even mention how the convex surface is just plain uncomfortable.
R1 and L1 are also curved outwards. And I hope they're not "triggers", since bumper buttons don't have an axis associated with them: they're a boolean value, not a range. Aka: less precision, no such thing as "slightly pressed".
PS3 controllers have gyroscopes with them, and because of that Sony pushed developers to shoehorn shitty balance mechanics in their games, and no one enjoyed them.
Cool argument Nope. They are perfect for all game types except shooters. They are fluid and give you enough freedom when you move/look around. Yes but R1 and L1 are just buttons and are extremely comfortable to use. R2 and L2 are poorly designed because your finger just slides off. Who gives a shit about the precision? That doesn't matter in any game type except shooters, which I've already said the Xbox is better for. Barely. I know of only a handful of games that even use the feature, and it's barely noticeable most of the time (for example, LBP using the motion of the controller to change where your sackboy is looking). It's certainly not a negative against the controller.

This'll probably make you guys laugh harder then. On the 360 I really enjoyed:
-Ace Combat 6
-Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
-Dead Rising
-Mass Effect
And Halo 3 just held and continues to hold a lot of importance to me. Too many memories with family and friends, plus all the friendships I made at the time that survive today.
Meanwhile, the PS3 had . . . Journey and Katamari.
tbh tho i've never been a breadth-first sort of gamer, and halo really was just that big of a deal, not to mention ace combat and banjo-kazooie had prior significance to me while the others had to find another way to get my attention, and i didn't much like a lot of the supposedly good games on either platform.
halo alone made the online fee worth it though, god. holy shit that game was the bomb.
just my personal opinion
PS3 had -Demons Souls -LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2 -Uncharted 1-3 -Ratchet and Clank -Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 -Metal Gear Solid 4 (though a lot weaker than the other games) -Better classic/downloadable games on the PSN store -Shadow of the Colossus and ICO HD I mean Demons Souls alone makes the console better than the Xbox 360
