Into the Void was hell.

I had only like one spare slot of Plasma cutter ammo that was half full. No health packs even.

I also did the

I am so tired
Sometimes I feel so tired
I can’t eat, I can’t sleep. So tired.
The pressure builds and builds.
It seems like there’s no release.
The things I see go unnoticed by some, fill my eyes with horror.
Anger and guilt and frustration and depression make waking up every day harder and harder.
I work my fingers to the bone just to survive.
I got to get money so I can have a home.
So I can breathe, eat and live in this society.
I don’t even like money, and I got to work everyday just to feed myself.
God, it makes me sick.
I just wanna curl up into a hole and die, because this isn’t worth it.
I need a raise, man!
I can’t survive on this pay anymore.
I can’t live on this.
I’m hungry, and I’m frustrated, and I can’t eat, daddy.
God, I look for you to help, and I have seen no help.
I’ve seen no thoughts, no looks, no praise.
You don’t care. You don’t love me. I only love myself.
No one will love me like I love me.

Life's been swell now I want to die
My body it hurts me sigh after sigh
I call it torture you call it life
A slave to money and everything I despise
Like everyone in general
Fuck eat sleep destroy
Just about the only things you fucking enjoy
I am a disposable being
Who will fuck all life
I multiply and the air gets thinner and dirty
I take up space
I smell
I consume
But I produce nothing
I abuse
I have no reason to exist
The toilet's clogged in this world of shit
I breathe filth everyday
Living fucks up my brain
Why? Why did I wake up today?
My eyes are heavy
Why? Why must I see your face?
Your life is ugly
Why? Why did I buy into these things?
I don't want them
Tension. Tension
Frustration. Alone.
Tension. Despair. Tension
All these pressures on my life

Oh cool, actual level headed criticism instead of some dudebro speging out for 30 minutes about how "gaming has been destroyed" because the developer misplaced some random pixel somewhere
that's why I like him

If you play horror games or watch horror movies just to be scared, you don't really understand the genre.
People bash 3 for it not being scary enough, clearly ignoring other aspects of the game.
I haven't played it. What matters to me is that is creates a scary atmosphere, not whether or not it's actually terrifying.  Dead Space 1, despite being heavily armed, still feels like a survival game, not just a third person shooter. Especially on Impossible mode it feels this way (even more doing it one gun). If Dead Space 3 just feels like a third person shooter with spoopy enemies I probably will not like it.

Dead Space and DS2 weren't particularly scarier than the third game. They were never really that scary to begin with.
I don't know about you but every time a necromorph jumped out at me I screamed like a school girl.

If you play horror games or watch horror movies just to be scared, you don't really understand the genre. Dead Space is 2spooky but it doesn't actually scare me at all because it's a video game.

MGS4 review is great.
Agreed. Perfectly explains what's right and wrong with the game. It really illuminates how tired Kojima must be of Metal Gear Solid by now.

Ouch man. That's gonna set you back a bit. You really gotta prioritize what you upgrade and how quickly you upgrade it on the harder difficulties. I thought of something interesting though.

How cool would an open world hub based Dead Space game be?
Doing alright so far so hopefully it didn't royally screw me over.

I'd love anything with more of Dead Space's aesthetic and atmosphere as long as it keeps the horror aspects.

His Dark Souls 2 critique is the reason I didn't buy the game.
He doesn't dislike Dark Souls 2 though, he just thinks it didn't live up to Demon's/Dark Souls, which he is right about.

I absolutely agree with that sentiment. It's just that a sequel should improve on the foundation of previous games, but the faults that Matthewmatosis describes show that FromSoft didn't really do that (Maybe because Miyazaki wasn't a director for it).
Yeah but at least it's more of the same, which is fine for me, just not all the time.

Thoughts on this guy? I love his reviews, personally. He usually is able to put to words my problems with games, even the ones I really love.

I didn't bother to look, but is there a Wild Wasteland perk?
That was a trait and traits are not in the game.

I don't see why not.

...I really don't.
I'm just going to end it here because we simply disagree to a ridiculous degree.
If it's any consolation, I wouldn't make the argument that games are as artful as more "traditional" art, like oil paintings and classical music and shit. Even film, to some extent. But I'm not terribly interested in trying to figure out what is the most "artistic" art form of all time--I'd rather just enjoy the art we have.

There was a time where there were skeptics, just like you, who claimed that film would never be considered art and that it would die in less than a year. And now, film is one of the most respected art forms... ever. And you've conceded earlier that video games have the "potential" to have substantial art value.

I see where you're coming from, but I think a lot of what your opinion comes down to is just personal dislike.
Maybe it is, I just like to hold art I enjoy to a higher(?) standard than it seems other people do because it feels more meaningful to me personally.

I will absolutely stand by my statement though that games may become more respected as art, I just don't see them that way now.
