I don't care enough to do that. The best I can condense it for you is as follows: -Their riffs are not chromatic and don't really adhere to any of the compositional tenets of Metal (chromaticism being the primary one IMO, along with motive forms and odd song form, paired with dynamic tools like palm muting, tremolo picking, etc.). Tool doesn't follow these tenets. Their only similarity is odd song form, which isn't even present in every song. -Maynards vocals don't fit into any mold of Metal singer, and share more with Grunge than anything else. -Tool likes to emphasize grooves more than metal bands do, and that rhythmic expectation and meditation is intrinsic to their music, but it is not found anywhere in Metal. That's all I care to say
