So I beat Dead Space 2.
Overall I still prefer Dead Space. I didn't really care all that much for the story in DS2 beyond a few elements of it, and I hate voiced Isaac and the way it doesn't feel lonely like the first one. The first one is a shitload scarier, atmosphere is way thicker and near perfect, etc.
However, with that said, Dead Space 2 is fun as SHIT. The gameplay is refined to absolute perfection. Everything is fun. Impalement is amazing, stalkers are super rad, the seeker rifle is killer, it's all super fun. It's also pretty hard and I really enjoyed the challenge (except the final "boss" of the game which was kind of annoying).
so is Hard Core mode actually possible or is it just a ruse?

Yeah that was a while back. It's pretty good but I prefer their demo. I don't dislike it, though.
I feel the same way about Vektor. Their best songs were in their demos, then they ruined all the suspense, dynamics of the demo when they decided that they just wanted to do this retarded thrashy thing. It's no wonder no one even cares about them anymore. I mean, yeah they had something good, I thought they were good at the time. The only thing that really stuck with me though was destroying the cosmos from their demos, plus a couple other songs from their demos.
Vektor were pretty flavor of the month. Most Thrash "revival" bands are like that. They have a little schtick that gets old after a while.
Yeah, I was just attached to them because I loved their demos before they even got big or released a full length. So I was excited to see them get big when they were pretty unknown and I liked them before hand. They really don't mean that much to me anymore, but I still have a vektor t shirt, which I think has pretty cool artwork on it. I wouldn't wear it though, not only because I don't really care for vektor, I just don't feel comfortable wearing band shirts.
No one wants to even look at you if you're wearing a band shirt in public. It makes me uncomfortable, it makes me feel like I'm a target. I have so many band shirts, autopsy, brighter death now, timeghoul, nuclear death, atrax morgue, dystopia, weekend nachos, no trend, sun city girls, SPK, throbbing gristle, lifelover, a few others I can't remember off the top of my head. I mean, I'm proud to own these shirts and all, but it's just depressing. I always end up buying shit and not even giving a fuck about it eventually.
Lol Vektor's art is better than their music. But yeah I don't like to go overboard with band merch or really any merch with a logo on it. I will only buy band shirts if I think they look cool and I like the band. I love a lot of bands, but I would never wear a shirt with their album art on it if I didn't like it. That's just silly to me. You're just a walking advertisement then. I do like patches though and battle jackets. I still have a Saint Vitus patch I have yet to use. Also Necromancer is a 10/10 track
