Sep7 is nearing its 7-year anniversary. Many of us have experienced significant life changes since this site began.
I was 16 when this site started, and things have changed for me in many ways since then: enough that I don't feel like listing all of them right now. Some of the major points worth noting:
- I graduated high school in 2016, and am about to receive my bachelor's degree in a couple months
- I've moved residences three times since 2017, although I've remained in the north Texas area.
- I am much healthier than I used to be. From early 2018 through early to mid 2019 I lost about 60lb (200lb to 140lb).

I've been really enjoying the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin manga. I heard it was basically the best version of the story and after reading up to volume 10 I'm inclined to agree.
Still need to read it myself but I've heard Char in Origin is a lot less Quattro Bajeena and a lot more CCA/Full Frontal than he was in the original 0079.
Eh, not really. He does bad shit (mostly in the flashback section) but it makes sense as to why he does it. Spoiler In the original 0079 he led a gullible, insecure sap to believe that he was his best friend, then betrayed him and laughed. Origin Char isn't really that different. He's always been a loveably dastardly dude. Spoiler also Venom Char from unicorn isn't that close to punished char from CCA tbh, aside from being cynical but in char's case that is because of the events of zeta pushing him over the limit and leading him to believe that humanity will only change if he forces them to. The whole point of Venom Char's character was that, while at some level Char really did believe in humanity's ability to change, and really was passionate about the cause (or at least, had deluded himself into believing that he was), venom char consciously didn't really give a shit about any of it, which is why his grand plan is just to form a fucking economic union).

I'm currently building the RG Sazabi. From here on out I'm going to be devoting a little more effort to my gunpla kits than I have in the past. Instead of just panel lining, I plan to order waterslide decals (which I have plenty of experience with through Warhammer) for a few of my kits, and I'm going to use a matte varnish on my kits as well, as I have some Testors Dullcote lying around. Finally, I bought some Gundam Markers to paint some details, like the silver spots on the Sazabi.
On another note, one of the things I like about Gundam is seeing designs interpreted by different artists over the years. The Zaku II is a great example, with its various iterations differing in ways great and small. One of my favorite interpretations of the design is the Zaku from Thunderbolt. I love that the tubes/power cables and upper arms are covered with what resembles insulation tubing. It really helps sell it as a mass produced machine.

You guys caught me at the very tail end of a major depressive episode so you didn't get to see that much of who I used to be.
More or less the same case for a lot of people here. Probably why it became such a cesspool, if you think about it. This has never really been a healthy community.
That's why sometimes I worry about the people that vanished from this place without warning and never came back.
If they were battling their inner demons I just hope that they managed to get better and find happiness. If leaving this site was for the better for them then I hope they're all doing okay.
You never know, this place could have been the source of sone their misery.
Maybe leaving it freed them.
We made of guys like RomanGladiator a lot for his unfortunate outcomes then one day he vanished and never came back, all without warning too. This guy had the absolute worst luck if all of his stories ended up being legitimate. I hope that he finally found a girl that loves him and is living happily wherever he is.
Haven’t heard from other guys like Boomdeyadah either for a while, he even left my discord channel and I haven’t seen him on Xbox when we would always play the MCC together. Hope he’s doing alright too.

Really sucks. Man was among the best comics illustrators out there. His art was always amazing; I was never confused regarding what was happening on a page, his panel layouts, sense of motion, etc were always perfect.

I picked up the HGUC Char's Zaku II Revive from Target. Like the HG RX-78-2, it's wonderfully colorful. I think I prefer it over the Origin Char's Zaku II, in part because of the original series charm it exudes (the bright colors are a big part of this) but also because it's less fiddly than its Origin counterpart.

Before I get running today. Nick is right. You should get your teeth looked at. Leave em' open like that and they'll be liable to start rotting or get infected if the root's exposed. Spending money you don't have is probably the last thing you want to hear.
Unfortunately money's one of the issues we should focus on at the moment. Get you some kind of job to get some kind of paycheck coming in. I'd be willing to bet your fiance is helping to fund ya, but I know that usually doesn't last forever.
So here's what we can try to do. I'm trying to get my truck camper into the parking lot of my workplace so I can cut down both a shit ton of gas money and useless travel time. I'm really trying to crunch down on my money so that I can hit the investment marks I need to bail from my job, but if you want me to, I can manage my books and see how much I can skim off to send your way if you need help. I can't offer much, and conversion rates will pretty much halve whatever I can send to you, but I'll try if that's something you're willing to look into.
Same, PM your paypal or w/e and I'll send some $$$ at least for food for the month.
