Was lock on bad or was it never in at first?

I haven't really watched much.
Wasn't the greatest. Kinda combined with the camera issues.
Could stand to make it more fluid.
Was it like dark souls making your screen go flying around if the target moves too quick
The common enemies tended to be fast and run in packs. Would get very chaotic especially in tight spaces with your other team members. You'd constantly lose site of a mob or target the wrong baddie. The cave was the worst. Just became a desperate slug fest a lot of times where you just hit the closest thing to you.

Sound reeeeeal good.

Though >difficulty option

fookin casuls
I thought Ramuh was easy mode.

So many plebs these days.

Like how they're using the 8chan's milo meme even though they'd ban you for trying to have that discussion.
Wait a sec they're talking about baph. These are pics from 8chan not 4chan. Op is a fal.
there's a difference?

Yeah, 8chan is more autistic if you can believe it.

Tabata acknowledged the game's controls received the lowest score, with the camera, lock-on and a general feeling of chaos in combat all coming under scrutiny. He's acknowledged this and has promised the team are "thoroughly" addressing it. Tabata also promised your team's AI would be bumped up, while a minimap and difficulty option will be added.

As for complaints about performance, the director explained the demo didn't have anti-aliasing, while the finished game will have. Similarly, frame rate optimisation will be an absolute priority going further, and everyone feels frame rate is more important than resolution.

Controls, camera, lock on, and team AI are getting worked on.

Gaming / Re: We've won, Steam went back on paid mods

There are pros and cons about the whole ordeal and how actually paid mods could have helped. It just wasn't executed right. You've "won" nothing, nor I accept to give any importance to the venomous masses who harassed other people over this. It's one thing to be civil and express sadness or disagreement, and another to target modders and harass them.

Those people do not deserve mods; they do not deserve any creativity, time and effort of which creating, and supporting a mod does. Just because they are ungrateful, and ready to violently hit anyone who they deem right.

It's not a vocal minority either; but it's a huge mass of people who do not see modders as humans, or probably think it's acceptable to let out their frustration on them.
I think there being shitty people on the internet is not really news. Death threats are amazingly common and 99% of the time not legitimate. Its almost assuredly a vocal minority since a majority on the internet would be a very large number. Saying its a vocal minority though doesn't make it less of an issue.

I wouldn't cast all modders as being in the same camp either. Since this divided the community into separate camps fairly well.

While I think quite a few people get too wrapped up in the emotion, and don't really think the issue out rationally, I also just don't put much stock in 'people on the internet said mean things'. Since that is always going to be the case. Usually you get better results focusing on better dialogue, and blocking out the shitheads.

DONATION BUTTON! DAH!
Can't take cuts from donations. Though they do nicely avoid copyright issues.

Finding a way for modders to get paid for their work is not in and of itself a bad thing.

Oh, I totally agree.

So what about the fact that the modders only made 25% of the income that their mods brought in, and only after $100 total was spent on their mod by the community?
That was one of the (many) negatives. Supposedly its the current industry standard for paid mods according to Bethesda.

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/amid-controversy-bethesda-defends-paid-steam-mods/1100-6426929/

I think they had more issues with copyright, mod ownership, mod requirements, and no contingency for a mod suddenly not working due to update or interference from another mod, etc. The the user  would be s.o.l. for the money they would have spent.

They had good intentions

Not really, tho
Dont chalk up to malevolence what can be explained by incompetence. Valve has a pretty good track record for supporting the community. Gabe was pretty clear where he was coming from in his posts. Even went in and made sure people were unbanned.

Finding a way for modders to get paid for their work is not in and of itself a bad thing. They just didn't take any of the negatives of this method into consideration before launching it.

They had good intentions. Just nightmarish implementation.

At least they can admit they didn't think it through and need to go back to the drawing board. Most companies would let their egos get in the way.

That looks awful.
You look awful.

>boring exposition
>recycled continuously playing animations
>awful audio quality
>awful voice acting
>generic looking fighter

The only thing it really does slightly different is stripping your opponent when you hit them, but even then that concept isn't exactly new and has been done before in better games and fighters (like Soul Calibur).

Continue to laugh at the heap of frankenstein garbage hola lore has become.

If I were them I'd make another small atmospheric game (ala ODST) based around an elite main character that explores the Sangheili home world/culture. Back to basics.

Instead they'll keep zombifying the same characters into more outlandish ridiculous plots.

Doesn't it defeat the whole purpose of a anti racist event when you're being racist? Oh wait I forgot SJW's have retreated double standards. I love that on Bnet Jay The fucking retard Kid said you can't be racist towards white people.
until #GG when I really discovered the SJW movement, I genuinely believed she was trolling.
I was (un)fortunate enough to get to know them during the atheism+ nonsense. Before anyone knew what to call them. Made gg less surprising though. The problem is becoming a lot more pervasive than most would think. Willing to bet there's going to be some serious political turmoil in the future. Left's turn to go insane it would seem.
