This really is just nonsense. It's definitely not appropriate for a member of Congress to go around the Executive branch when dealing with foreign officials, but it's not a violation of the Constitution, or even the Logan Act. Members of Congress have met with foreign dignitaries many times in the past, including John Kerry going behind Reagan's back to meet with Daniel Ortega. A speech before Congress is little more than political maneuvering in response to the president's hesitant policies towards Israel.

Clearly they've failed the litmus test of what can be considered intelligent human beings. Don't these people deserve to be treated as subhuman?

I used to pronounce it Dihd-act instead of Dye-dact because that's how I read it in my head while reading Halo: Cryptum.
Lolwut It is pronounced as 'DYE-dact'. Edit: nvm I'm drunk, carry on smartly.

I used to say Bowser like Bow-ser >.> still prefer calling him that makes him sound evil not a fgt
You mean instead of Bow-zer?
What do you mean?
I mean the name is pronounced bow-zur, bow as in 'take a bow'. I'm confused by what pronunciation your post implies. Also OT: I used to pronounce Hermione as 'Hermoin'. I guess I just misread it. It's such a bizarre name.

There will never be another draft. I don't really see selective service as a draft, though I think it's outdated and unnecessary.

This time, the special effects are actually added in. And for some reason the video is stabilized, so if the bars look weird, it's because they're masking the shaky camera.

So, did something happen while they were in there? Yeah...no women means they've got to go for second best. But seriously, even if you could choose to become homosexual, how would that even change anything?

I feel uncomfortable with having anything in the bank.
Why's that? Save more then 3 months
If I worked in the private sector and didn't have a contract for the next 7 years I'd keep at least 6 months. Right now it's more of a hurricane/disaster/injury fund.

Yearly gross income: 55k
None from parents.
Minimum amount to pay my current bills each month: $1,500/month
Max amount on hand: depends on what you mean. I keep a 3 month emergency fund in savings, and try not to keep more than a month's wage in checking. I'd be uncomfortable having more than $20k just sitting in the bank.
I value my money greatly.

Why is he still 'Rookie'? The guy survived New Mombasa on his own, brought his squad together, and provided the most valuable source of information they ever had.
Still ridiculous to kill him off, let alone outside of a game.
He was new to the squad, so they called him rookie. Obviously he's a badass since he's an ODST, and Dare even comments on how odd it is that he's called a 'rookie' when he's arguably the most competent of the squad when he meets her in the tunnels, but he's still the newest member of the squad.
Yeah, obviously that's why he's called Rookie in the game. But after those events, it doesn't make sense for anyone to continue calling him that. It'd be more of an insult than anything, not endearing or buddy-buddy at all. Not to mention that it would have helped remove him from the context of the game, where he's a faceless, voiceless surrogate for the player, allowing the writer to characterize him better.

Game of Thrones.
Explanation: D&D.
I actually think Game of Thrones should be cancelled, because they'll be revealing the end of the series long before it's published in the novels.

why is everyone itt so salty over what's essentially an inconvenience? shipping a tv can be great, especially if you're getting a stupid good deal or the store doesn't have what you want. buying online isn't (necessarily) neckbeard.
Price matching you goddamn nigger.
can't price match tax you goddamn spic
Doesn't Amazon charge state sales tax now? I've talked down Bestbuy before, too. Bought a washer and dryer from them, said I could just go across the street to Lowe's and they'd cut a deal to make the sale, and I ended up getting it marked as open box and saving $100. Just gotta talk to the guy.

Are we talking canon? I don't even know if grey jedi exist in the updated canon.
Anything that isn't the movies and newer stuff released under Disney isn't canon.
Yeah, what I'm saying is that the concept of a grey Jedi isn't in any of that, so I don't know if we can even talk about them just from the canon.

What kind of phone have you seen in the show? In the 90s they had flip phones. I've got an old one laying around here.
Again, it's pretty ambiguous. It could take place in modern day and they'd write it off as Gotham being poor.

Nope, I didn't pick up on it at all. Revan was a complete surprise, especially because it's so unusual to give a character you've made a concrete background.
Now that I think of it, it was basically the same twist as Episode 5. Saying Luke's dad was dead and all that. Should've seen it coming.

Ambiguously mid-90s. Gotham is really poor so there's a lot of old technology. It makes sense for Penguin, a wealthy guy, to be able to afford a cell phone.

I'd stop by every other week or so. Records, books, sometimes clothes. Gotta check tags and buy the right stuff.
Whoever's saying affluent people shouldn't shop at thrift stores so that poor people can shop there: have you ever been to one? Nobody's depriving anyone of anything. There's an abundance of clothing at these stores, and bringing income to them is beneficial to everyone involved.

But if that's the case, what's the whole point in Jesus' sacrifice? If Jesus' death on the cross doesn't absolve us of our sins, why is "Jesus died for your sins" perpetuated?
My philosophy teacher, who's a Christian, can't answer that.
So I've been waiting to ask Turkey >.>
This is a deep question that is difficult to answer in the medium of a forum. There's a lot of theology and exegesis that goes into responding well to this, and a degree of open-mindedness to not just balk at it and disregard it. The abbreviated version of it is seen clearly in many verses that the atonement of Christ is available to all and is intended for all, but the truth is that not all will take it. Even when confronted with overwhelming evidence in the form of dying and being confronted with it, as per Revelation, many will choose not to accept it. C.S. Lewis wrote a fantastic book about it called "The Great Divorce", and I'd recommend reading it, even if you're not into theology. It reads more like a story. For specific essays and arguments on the ramifications of Jesus as a sacrifice, why it was necessary in the framework of the old and new covenants, and whether it applies to all with or without faith, here are two sources: http://www.gotquestions.org/limited-atonement.htmlhttps://carm.org/questions/about-doctrine/did-jesus-die-everyone-my-calvinist-friends-say-no
