So we're going to have 2 sets of desert themed maps, a set of ice themed maps, a set of forest themed maps, and a set of volcanic themed maps.
I wish there was a little more variety honestly. I guess since most of the interesting worlds to visit are now non-canon they had to make due with what's been mentioned or seen in the movies.
Felucia, Kamino, Naboo, Kashyyyk, and Geonosis are all canon and in the movies, not to mention all the indoor maps on the Death Star or capital ships. I imagine these maps are going to be quite a bit better than the old maps, but I agree that the lack of variety is unfortunate.

The people who endlessly complain and assume everything will be terrible (a lot of people here) can be just as misleading as the diehard blind fanboys.
Of course it's going to be a fun, high-quality game. There's no doubt in my mind. But the lack of a campaign, space missions, or even something structured like Galactic Conquest is a huge letdown. And it's great that each planet has two maps, but it's still disappointing that our first look into the new canon of SW is going to be the same old places we've always seen. No clone wars is immensely disappointing, too.
No, there will be more than eight. More than two per planet.
That's not at all the point of what I was saying.

Wait? There's not fucking class system?
I never said that. I imagine there will be, since it's DICE. I'm referring to the weapon progression system that IGN talked about from the demo. Like unlocking better guns and gear for different classes like in Battlefield.

Just want to add in that yes, Cortana certainly was sexualized over the sequels, but I think this was inevitable with better graphics; she couldn't remain blocky forever, though I don't recall any male AI being described as nude. In addition, she and Chief never developed a romantic relationship.
And of course she's coming back in the sequels.

No, I mean each thing you could kill got assigned specific points. The 'RNG' thought might come from the fact that certain ships could hold several people/AI and you get an additional point each. There are three things you could get points for destroying: spacecraft, pilots/marines, and critical systems. Each category gave a specific amount. It certainly wasn't random except one or two points depending on how many pilots were in a ship.

So, yeah. Called it. It looks like Dice are trying to do the right thing. But it's not the Battlefront standard that we all loved and knew.
- No galactic conquest
- No camapign
- Only 4 maps at launch
- No Prequel Era
- No space battles
- Only 40 player battles
