Okay, I actually watched the whole thing and think it was really good. The host got way off track and explicit numerous times, but she handled it remarkably well. I think under the whole shtick of getting the guest riled up was some refreshingly honest and interesting discussion.

It's kinda shitty to be upset about that scene. There are numerous other scenes in which innocent or good people are brutally murdered, but rape is where they draw the line. Ramsay is the most sadistic character in the series, and the scene in the book is ten times worse than what was in the show.

The same scene, but with Jayne Poole instead of Sansa. In the book, Sansa doesn't even leave the Eyrie. Jane Poole is disguised as Arya and she is forced to marry Ramsay. Theon is forced to molest her, and then Ramsay rapes her.

Movies are movies. Nobody gives a fuck what season they come out and you shouldn't define them by that.
What was Skyrim? A winter RPG? As opposed to a summer RPG? The fuck does that even mean? Please stop using that term. It's disgusting.
Action movies tend to come out during the summer, and plot-driven movies tend to come out around winter. The use of the term specifies that I'm comparing it to those effects-filled action movies that are coming out this summer, as opposed to, say, Star Wars. AAA video games tend to release near the end of the year, so I suppose you could also compare those, but it's not the same.

I haven't read that book, but judging by its description, yeah, I might have to pick it up sometime.
It's hilarious. The author somehow merges a legitimate grammar guidebook with a commentary on modern language and why it's important to write properly. I haven't practiced formal writing in years, but it's largely due to that book, and the class I read it in, that I still take the time to write punctuation online.

That's a really stupid excuse to give for the praise when the movie is a summer action flick with almost no plot or character development. It's not new or refreshing, it's just a badass, two-hour-long car chase with a explosions and a guy playing a flamethrowing guitar. Shit doesn't have to be genre-defining to be well-received or high quality.

it's not just capitalization and punctuation--it's also subject/verb agreement, sentence structure, irregularities, and various other technicalities

The comma's not necessary, and it disrupts the flow of the sentence. Your spelling is fine, but you can't deny that formatting and punctuation are important for grammar. It's not a big deal, I was just wondering why you stopped. I agree it sounds more formal to use proper punctuation (though I don't see a problem with formality), but your posts tend to feel bland and lifeless because of their absence, at least to me. Seeing you use punctuation and capitalization in this thread immediately makes your posts feel more personal, enthusiastic, and conversational, like you're actually interested in what's being discussed. Have you ever read the book Eats, Shoots & Leaves? I think you'd enjoy it.

Get a $10 trimmer at Target and just buzz it, don't shave. You will always get razor burn, and then it'll itch like hell. If you really want to do it and fight razor bumps, buy an alum block (shave stores or Amazon) and apply that, or liquid aftershave (which will feel terrible).
