I understand that, but it's just a game. How many games and movies and books have some huge villain that has been an unstoppable force until the main character of the media is somehow able to defeat him her?
Oryx might actually be one of the most powerful villains in video game history, based on that story. At some point it just becomes completely unbelievable; at least for the Vex we had to go through various puzzles and tactics to weaken the big bosses, but Oryx just kind of stands around and opens up his weak spot. I wish they could have added a vendor or library in the Tower so we could actually read the Grimoire ingame, but I really love this lore, it's genuinely great stuff. If only the story telling for the main storyline could be this good (granted Taken King seems to be a step in the right direction).
Would've been cool if the ghost could narrate grimoire cards during patrols or loading screens.

Still no idea what The Darkness is. First it was the Fallen, then the Hive, then the Vex, and now the Hive again. And the Cabal are just...there. For some reason.
Grimoire cards are still the worst method of storytelling I've ever seen in a video game. At least have them in-game like TES books.
No. The Darkness is a physical entity that's billions of years old. The Fallen had the Traveler before us. Then the Darkness attacked them. They are attacking us to get The Traveler back. The Hive(once known as The Krill) work for The Darkness. Oryx and his sisters went down to the core of their planet, which is where The Darkness was trapped. The Leviathan, a servant of The Traveler warned them against it. He told them to take the harder path, go to the sky, and accept The Traveler. With fear on their minds, and not much time, since Krill had very short lifespans, they ignored Leviathan and went to The Deep. There, they encountered The Worms(who are servants of The Darkness) They told them, to accept their larvae. Let them feed off of them. Kill and destroy everything. To bring the Universe to its rightful shape. The more they do that, the hungrier the worms become. So they've killed trillions and trillions of beings to satisfy the worms hunger. Later one, Oryx went down to The Deep(which was The Darkness), he asked the Worm for help, he needed more power. The Worm refused, so he killed it, then talked to The Darkness himself. He then became Oryx, The Taken King.
There you go.
Yes, I get all that. So far we haven't seen the Darkness, only its influence in the various enemies in the game. But without reading the grimoire cards, it's a very reasonable assumption to think The Darkness is just another wishy-washy way of describing the evil found throughout the solar system, just like how 'light' is some ambiguous term for inexplicable but tangible space magic. And it's all that backstory that just makes the game that much sillier. Oryx is for all intents and purposes a deity that has lived billions of years and killed untold numbers of strong, sentient races. But you can defeat him in a 10 minute firefight? C'mon.

How come people like Hitler and Churchill haven't ruined Capitalism
Probably because Hitler wasn't a capitalist. Though he did use several capitalist policies to invigorate Germany; namely, the effect of reprivatization of firms had an immediate positive effect that quickly aided in recovery from a depression.

So which admin gave out Charlie's account info to one of you shitposters?
It's really me.
Cool. How've you been? Got divorced, apparently. That blows.
That's kinda why Camnator got his reaction. I'm good now, but then? Not so much
Sorry man. Glad it's good now. What're you up to now? Oh and OT: I tried it on my honeymoon but it just wasn't working for me. Maybe my wife just sucks at it.

Way to ignore the fact that the committee hasn't held a hearing in nine months.
Not sure what you want me to talk about. I'm not defending the committee; I don't know very much about them. You asked if they'd found anything, I explained what they did, then you criticized it as pointless, so I clarified its significance. It's not about being slow, it's about refusing to release information as required under the Freedom of Information Act. Frankly, liberals should be the ones spearheading this; it's usually the republicans claiming information should be kept private for various reasons. All it's confirmed is that Hillary doesn't like State Department transparency rules, but that's a different outrage entirely. There has been zero evidence of any Benghazi misconduct on her part.
I don't think anyone from the committee has ever claimed the state department's misconduct resulted in the attack. The committee isn't disciplinary in nature as far as I'm aware. Its purpose is to collect information, with the State Department's refusal to release information being the primary source of delay.

Then why is it that nearly every news post on the committees website has something to do with the email server, the State departments handling, etc? Probably because that's the largest source of undisclosed information on the subject. If the State Department had released its emails to Congress (and the citizens of the country) as legally obligated, the investigation would probably be over. The only thing dragging out the process is the State Department's lack of transparency and unwillingness to cooperate. I don't understand why such an obvious case of lack of transparency suddenly becomes a waste of time to investigate when it's about a democrat.

And this has turned up what, exactly? I'm not sure what you're asking. Access to more information allows them to have a more informed picture of the attack to learn about what happened and why. They're not specifically looking for wrongdoing; these committees occur after any major incident, to uncover as much information as possible. It is not their role as the Benghazi committee to investigate Clinton's use of the private server They're not. They were probably trying to get emails from the state department about the incident and discovered gaps that led to the knowledge that Clinton and her staff were deleting emails related to the attack en masse. The committee turned that information over to the FBI who are conducting the investigation under the charge of some other department of the government.

So, question - has this panel found anything of relevance on Benghazi? At all?
Quite a bit. Tens of thousands of emails and related documents, interviews of dozens of witnesses and survivors of the attack, and probably the most important: exposing Clinton's use of a personal email account when conducting state affairs and the subsequent publication of her attempt to cover up the information in the account by deleting swaths of emails and cherrypicking which to release publicly. I really see nothing wrong with his praise of the committee. They exposed a pretty damn insidious pattern of behavior during Clinton's tenure related to Benghazi and helped inform Congress (and the public) of more details behind the attack.

All in all, I do my own research on what to eat.
I do the same. But whenever I bring up the research I've done (for instance, fluoride in tap water or aspartame toxicity), you blow it off and call me a government shill. Just because my position happens to coincide with the FDA's doesn't make it wrong.

Also, if you do try Kraken, mix it with root beer. Hard root beer if you want to get extra fucked.
Can confirm it's awesome.

Make your own choices. Look at the ingredients. Don't be a sheep.
The FDA-mandated ingredients list?
Wow, sometimes bad people are pressured to do good things. Hitler was nice to his dog, I guess that excuses everything else!
Tbh I'm really confused as to what your position is. Do you not eat meats or products from large companies or FDA approved drugs and food? I'm genuinely asking here, because I'm not at all trying to excuse the FDA's past shittiness or its current inefficacy and ties to corporations, but it's also unreasonable to say all the science around food and drugs is complete bunk.

Nice meme. Doesn't stop those organisations from being corrupt and evil.
But the alternatives are corrupt, predatory, unregulated, and unscientific. I'd rather take the FDA with a heaping of salt than trust what some blogger says is the latest health trend.

Kraken's better.
I'll need to try that sometime
Good for mixing, shots, or even sipping (if you're into that). High alcohol content so more bang for your buck. About $35 for a handle, $20 for 750mL.

To be fair, you could be pretty justified in not trusting the FDA and being indifferent to the WTO.
Big Pharma, for all its flaws, still manages to get too much slack.
I agree! That's why every night before bed I rub fresh basil leaves all over my pillow to prevent toxins from building up in my brain while I sleep.

Hey there Sep7agon, are you feeling tired or groggy? Not completely excited to wake up every day? Maybe a bit flabby or overworked? Tired of trusting what Big Pharma says is healthy, or what Big Agriculture says is safe to eat? Mistrustful of the FDA and WTO?
We here at Snake Oil Promotions® have just the solution for you! Are you eating regular ol' beef, chicken and pork, and still feeling down? Well that's because of all the chemicals and hormones and water pumped into them by Big Agra to make you unhealthy!*(We at SOP are legally required to inform you that hormones are banned from use in poultry and pork in the U.S., and in beef the residual hormones left in edible tissue is negligible, and consumed in quantities 1000s of times larger in regular, home-grown veggies and nuts. But don't let fact inform your lifestyle!)So what's the solution, you ask? Let me make your decision for you! Eat organic meats and veggies! They're not full of all the chemicals and pesticides Big Agra uses!*(Again we have to clarify that this isn't actually true; organic food also uses lots of pesticides and growth additives, but because it's slightly more natural we get to pretend there's a difference! Lying is fun!)Still not comfortable with eating meat? No problem! We completely understand your aversion to cancer-causing toxins found throughout cattle and livestock! May we suggest a nice block of tofu? (Please disregard that tofu contains 10,000x as much estrogen hormone as a serving of beef.) Of course, if you're going to be eating a meat-free diet, you're going to need a way to supplement your nutrients somehow, and we have exactly what you need!* (Depending on what new product has avoided being banned yet by the FDA due to unforeseen and unscreened side effects like seizures, infertility, death, and more!) Nevermind all the Capitalist Propaganda that says a healthy, balanced diet contains all the nutrients you need! And all those minerals and weird chemicals definitely do not build up in your arteries and organs, or stress your liver to the point of early failure! In fact, you can even just use our quick and handy detox diet which consists of drinking lemon water for a week and taking a random pill we say is healthy. Normally your liver would clean up any scary toxins in your body, but now that you've ruined it with synthetic trash Miracle Pills, you'll need it! But on the off chance these Magic Products come with some side effects, we have another solution: homeopathy! Homeopathy is basically using natural plants with big confusing names and pretending they're good for you. Also, all of it is untested by the Evil FDA, so you can be sure Wall Street doesn't have its grimy fat cat fingers in it! (Please disregard that the FDA requires decades of testing and refinement just to release a product, and in the unlikely case of severe side effects, the FDA will ban the product and sue the team into oblivion.) Sep7agon, I hope you've seen the light and realized that a healthy, happy lifestyle is just a random pill away! And remember: if you can't pronounce it or don't understand the science behind something, it's not good for you! Snake Oil Promotions®Science is scary. We'll choose for you.™

why not just keep it at that price and keep it within a range so more people will buy it? Because of artificial monopolies and price fixing.
