I really enjoy Letters From Iwo Jima.

Well he's one of the few canon Jedi to discover immortality through the force, so it's pretty safe to say he was very powerful.

The Flood / Re: The Walking Dead Season 6 Thread - Sunday 11th October

I really wanted the series to end in Alexandria, but the producers are already planning the next 5 years. I'm really over the two-season cycle of finding a home, fucking it up, and wandering around picking off supporting characters.

I heard Kylo Ren might be the main protagonist and Finn is a Red Herring. Don't know if I should believe it but that would be interesting if true.

That'd be kind of cool, seeing a supposed Sith lord seek redemption. He's definitely not the series' main villain.

This rumor has been going around for a couple months. Surprised you haven't heard it until now.

Gaming / Re: So what's the verdict on Battlefront (if there is one, yet)?
« on: October 09, 2015, 01:14:44 PM »
The drop pod mode is pretty forgettable. I was really hoping for more of the large-scale maps that the previous Battlefront titles had. Walker Assault is pretty fun, but I do miss bots on the field. I think Titanfall did bots in a modern shooter setting pretty well, and something similar would be nice here.

Graphics and audio are really sharp. Gameplay is definitely not a Battlefield clone, and I really like that kills take more than a couple shots unlike a game like Destiny where deaths are very quick.

Happy birthday, bro. What're you doing to celebrate?

Paul Ryan would be nice.

Watching old sitcoms and ensuring ISIS doesn't commandeer the airfield.

What's your excuse for being up?

Not at all.

Gaming / Re: Far Cry Primal - Announcement Trailer

I'm just taking some guess here.

Crafting system.

Close knit sort of tribal community/base builder.

Rival tribes for you to go conan the barbarian on.
>game starts
>new guy in tribe
>everyone talks oogabooga bix nood and you don't understand anything
>after a few hunts you learn their language and everyone starts having a British accent

It would actually be a cool game mechanic to learn a simple language based on gameplay, with no subtitles available.

I'm down for a radical change in gameplay, but at this point why even call it Far Cry? Seems like they're just coasting on franchise recognition.

Statistics that debunk the gender pay gap?

Do you happen to have those on-hand, by any chance? I keep telling people this but I don't have any imperical evidence to support it. I just sort of took your word for it.

Some of it's fake. Stuff like the gallon of honey covered in bees isn't a big deal because the bees they use are fat and tired with no queen, so they're no threat. Don't let it detract from your enjoyment, but it's not too different from other entertainers putting on a show.

Serious / Re: TPP trade deal
« on: October 07, 2015, 07:51:23 AM »
I'm also really confused, because liberals were all for TPP when conservatives weren't in favor, and then they came around to it, so now liberals are wholly against it. Let's just agree on some shit for once.

Serious / Re: Conservatives be like...

I like to think I'm fairly representative of many young conservatives, and I support national gay marriage, access to abortions (granted, with restrictions), subsidized access to birth control, flag burning and public protests of any sort in conformity with local regulations, and increased gun control.

I'm uneasy as it seems to give leverage to corporations that are already well off

I really don't see that. There's a huge outcry against corporations purportedly being able to sue the government over loss of profits, but it's really not like that. It allows corporations to sue a government that violates the trade agreement via tribunals. It's a very common in trade agreements.

(Augustus being the title given unto Caesar, basically meaning "Emperor", and Sol Invictus which is a metaphor for "God")

You've got that backwards.

They create sound waves, but if you go by the definition that sound is a sound wave that is heard by an animal then no, it doesn't.
That seems really silly, doesn't it?... And circular.

Well yeah, it is silly. It's extremely pedantic and pointless. Of course that tree makes a sound.

Assholes.

Why does your school have a runway?

« on: October 05, 2015, 09:24:54 PM »
Got to take off behind some Top Gun F-18s that were in town today. They're loud as fuck and made approaches bumpy because they kept doing landings and so we were flying in their jet wash for the last few miles. Didn't get to meet any because they parked at a different hangar.

As far as I know, none of them flew inverted over any MiGs though. Kinda disappointing.

I'm totally down with cosmetic microtransactions. Not that I'll buy any, obviously, but it supports the game and potentially means more free content, as rumored.

Declining mental sanity of people coupled with a culture who has a hardon for penis compensation and firing penis shaped objects at each other at the slightest hint of somebody or a problem opposing their personal manliness.

Did nobody ever expect a modern shitshow to ever happen?

Remember kids, when you have a gun, all your problems start to look like middle-schools.

Nice usage of Maslow. Color me impressed

The hammer is his penis.

Did you see the removal of weapon degradation?
Did you see the removal of repair?

Those weren't added until Fallout 3. Repair was almost entirely useless in 1 & 2.

Vox is pretty biased to the left, but this is a decent article with quite a bit of easily-processed information. Quoting the article would be difficult because of its format, so just read it via the link.
