Never going to get a credit card.
Sorry to hear about your shitty credit score.
Good thing a credit score doesn't matter to me one bit.
You're smart. You can build your credit with rent.
Rent is no replacement for credit history, and not all landlords report it. There's no reason to be scared of credit, and failure to grow a diverse credit history absolutely will affect you later in life.
It won't affect me in any way.
That's a great joke to tell the car salesman when you get an 18% APR on your first car, or at your first real job interview when they ask you to explain your credit report.

Can anyone with the game comment on how their builds are? I usually do a jack of all trades for the first runthrough to get as much exposure as possible, then focus on later playthroughs. Is a moderate intelligence, charisma, agility, and strength a viable build or is it less effective than specializing?

She used to base reviews on things that were personal to HER, and had nothing to do with the game itself. She always pushed her agenda and used it as a way to put down games because they didn't meet her ideals. Which is being a reviewer who isn't reviewing for content, but reviewing it based on whether or not it coincides with what she wants.
I don't really see the difference. I guess the implication you're making is that she approaches her reviews with a feminist perspective in mind, which is bad, because... reasons.
I think she can cover and critique whatever aspects of the game she wants, actually.
Verb it's like giving a game a poor review because it didn't talk to the crowd of people who like hentai.
It has no place
I just want to point out that's not at all what she does in this review.

And how exactly are you supposed to implement hesitation towards killing in gameplay, anyway? Would Lara start shuddering during combat, and start refusing to pull the trigger when your "apprehension gauge" is too high? That doesn't sound very fun. It's just an unimportant and, frankly, uninteresting detail.
Well for one, the game seems to thoroughly support over-the-top violence by giving you points and rewards for seemingly stylish or unique methods of killing. If the running narrative was that she's traumatized by all the killing, then they should have made a stealth game rather than an action-adventure game. Older Tomb Raider games required you to only kill animals to gather materials, except for an occasional human enemy. But here they just throw scores of heavily armored bad guys at her, give her a huge arsenal a la Far Cry. Look at Mirror's Edge, where killing people is very difficult and interrupts the flow of gameplay; that kind of action makes sense with Lara Croft.

I'm not even sure I understand what happened.
-Going to school in NY -Want to go to UCF -Drop out of NY before asking about transfer credits -Decide against UCF because they won't take most of your credits -Attempt to reapply to NY for the Spring semester but no response so far
Is that right?
You can go to UCF and test out of certain credits or take them at a community college concurrently (12 credits at UCF, 3-6 at CC). Or you can hold out until NY gets back, which they obviously will and I think you really need to get them on the phone and get the process moving.
I'd start knocking out general electives at a community college (which are always cheaper), then wait on NY to accept you again. You still have plenty of time to get ready for the upcoming semester. In the future I'd recommend not making hasty decisions like you did, though.

Next Gen is here lads
Call me a race traitor but that looks fine for consoles.

It forces candidates to focus on more than just a few key states, and ensures the election is representative of the decision of the states. Yes, of course the electoral college hinders democracy, because we're not a democracy; we're a constitutional republic.

doesn't this make an assumption that men and women fundamentally view all subjects differently?
Women -- especially in politics -- have substantially different experiences and viewpoints that are often underrepresented.
Like what?
Should we require representation of religious groups, racial minorities, socioeconomic brackets?
Yes, we should strive to have representatives that can bring different belief systems and backgrounds to the table rather than stacking the government with wealthy white men. I'm a fucking conservative and even I understand that politics should not be the monopoly of the majority.

Steam/Digital consoles do preloading, amazon/game dispatch the game prior to the launch date so that it arrives at launch <.<
Is the Amazon download code for Steam?

Also, that gives them a really convenient way to ignore the ending to ME3. Colony ships left before the invasion? No way to find out what happened. Effectively, nothing in ME3 should affect the story.

« on: November 07, 2015, 08:51:42 PM »
A leaked survey said that ME:A takes place a few hundred years after ME:3 and that these colony ships were sent before ME:3 happened as a way to try and escape the reapers.
We'll see how much if it holds for the final product since so far it's been almost 100% right.
If that's true, it'd be cool if you could import your Shepard to see him/her one last time.

So I haven't actually bought this yet. Are Steam or Amazon letting you pre-download the game?

Hell, if they had the tech to jump galaxies at that point they probably would have had the tech to out muscle the reapers in a straight up fight.
Looks like they just found a badass mass relay to do it, not their own inventions. Also >Calling technology 'tech'

So, either they've cloned/frozen Shepard or the Control route is canon.
Maybe it was a mission that was launched prior to the Reaper invasion, and the crew is stuck in the Andromeda galaxy following the invasion? Who knows.

Stuff from the trailer:
Pause at 0:48 and you'll see dog tags that say 'Ryder' (protag's name?) and a picture of what appears to be a father and child (though it reminds me of the Illusive Man's silhouette).

Commander Shepherd survived and is sending off the next generation of explorers? I wonder which ending will end up being canon.

Is it even possible to run video from my PC to my TV, then have the PC's audio outputted from the speakers? Yes if you have Windows just right click the speaker at the bottom left hand and click playback devices, then select your TV.
That's what I currently do, I was just concerned about having that signal, PC to TV, being able to be outputted from the TV to whatever speaker system I use, which I assume will require a receiver or amp unless I go with a soundbar (and I don't intend to), while also keeping its original channels (left or right unless I go with 5.1) rather than ending up with lossy stereo.

I'm looking to get a simple 2.1 (or just 2.0) setup for my TV, to be able to get input from the TV, my consoles, as well as my PC (I use my TV as a third monitor so I can stream video or play PC games from the couch). First of all, any recommendations for speakers, amps, or subwoofers would be appreciated. Right now I'm looking at Micca MB42X-C speakers. But wiring is a bit confusing. Would I connect my Xbox to the amp or sub, or connect everything to the TV and have the TV output the signal to the amp, then to the speakers? Is it even possible to run video from my PC to my TV, then have the PC's audio outputted from the speakers? Note: I don't have a TV set-top box. I either stream audio to my TV's built in speakers from my PC or I use my Xbox to play Netflix. Hook a turkey up. Fallout 4 is coming.

Yeah, I keep the designer's intention in mind when I play games, typically. So for something like Halo I'd be upset at a shoddy story because 343 should be on top of it and has demonstrated they're up to the task, but for something like Battlefield I have no issue with using story modes as glorified tutorials for multiplayer mechanics, because that's what they intended.
Licensed games weren't meant to stand up to much criticism, they're just supposed to be simple and fun while low in quality.

I lend some credence to the notion that women as equally qualified as men can provide a different perspective to the group, making a diverse cabinet of individuals more valuable than a homogeneous one.

If God = Jesus
And Jesus bled when the Romans nailed him to the cross
So God bled
If it bleeds, we can kill it.
Therefore if there needs to be a sequel to God's Not Dead, we can prevent the trilogy.
Jesus has like infinite respawns though.

This wasn't a sympathy thread. I didn't make this to get condolences or cry about it. I made this thread because there are a lot of posts on here from people saying they're depressed and have thought about suicide or hurting themselves, or how nobody cares about them. I appreciate the kind posts from many of you, but fuck all this shit about life being worthless and his suicide was anyone's fault -- even his. He was a grown-ass man that made a decision and it wasn't because of any one thing or person.
Lock requested. Some of you need to learn when not to talk.
