Neat paradox

Easily debunked though.

Using Google

You shouldn't need Google to know that reducing the mass of something by 1% doesn't magically reduce it 50%.

Oh I thought you meant the X=1 thing

The OP isn't a paradox lol

See: Potato Paradox

The x=1=.99... thing is basic calculus.

I'm hoping Rey's parents don't turn out to be a big deal. I'm thinking Luke put her into exile as a kid when Ben turned against the Jedi to protect her, and that's that.

Also, really not a fan of Finn. His character was basically a 2015 black guy dropped into the Star Wars universe, despite being a bred soldier for the First Order (a janitor that was, for some reason, assigned to an important raid on Jakku).
He was a janitor on the big planet while he was there. Coulda been when he was younger. He was assigned to a squad and all that when he was older I believe.

That's fine. I just don't think he added much to the movie.

Big ugly beards are the cringiest trend since  the frosted spike tips of the 90s.

Because it's fun and gives adults a reason to take vacation days and have fun. Christmas as an adult is way better than as a kid.

The bulk metadata collection wasn't effective in the first place, anyway. There was way too much of it to be of any practical use.

More data =  more precision. It was an automated, autonomous process that benefited from larger pools of data.

There's quite a bit of irony in defending the bill by praising how much it limits the metadata the government has access to, while also justifying the ending of bulk metadata collection by touting its inefficacy.

Rubio's totally right about the metadata program.

fite me irl
Sure.

I was specifically responding to his arguments about how the FISA court is more stringent than the courts cops have to go to to get a wiretap, but I tore apart the article in the thread, anyway.

1. Rubio on the USA Freedom Act ending bulk collection of phone records:

The government has had a great deal of trouble trying to rationalize this program. Simply put, its own oversight panels keep publishing reports that don't fit with the government's mass surveillance narrative, in regards to both its effectiveness and legality.
Nope, PCLOB only addressed the concern of the public about the government having access to records, nothing about the legality or efficacy. The directors of the NSA, FBI, NI, CIA, and heads of the military branches have testified to the effectiveness of metadata in identifying and killing terrorists.
Quote
Quote
Rubio said the USA Freedom Act “took away the right to collect metadata, which means that we can now not access the phone records of individuals that we either suspect of being involved in terrorism or who carry out an attack to see who they were coordinating or talking to.”
Quote
“It stopped the bulk collection of innocent Americans’ records and established an efficient process for obtaining records from suspects... USA FREEDOM simply requires the government to obtain a lawful order to access information from the phone companies.”
So...just like it was before the metadata collection. Yes, the Freedom Act took away the government's ability to collect metadata; now they have to go through telecom companies, who have no obligation to store any metadata. Metadata analysis is what was used to determine a link to terrorists, provide evidence to the FISA court for a warrant, and subsequently gain access to more tools like wiretaps. Now with the onus being on the government to provide proof before even having access to the metadata (which was anonymous and autonomously analyzed), it's barely effective. It's like asking cops to write speeding tickets without a radar gun.
Quote
3. However, Rubio claimed that the telecoms were refusing to cooperate with the law:
Not even going to bother quoting the rest of the rebuttal. Of course telecom companies will hold billing data for a few years; billing data is not at all equivalent to the metadata needed to identify terrorist suspects. Unless these companies are going to hold call data, they're not collecting records. Rubio is correct.
Quote
4) Rubio also claimed that the USA Freedom Act gives the government only 2-3 years' worth of records
There's no source, so we have no idea what Rubio is even referring to here.

Yellow has to be the worst color
Agreed.

Green > Purple = Blue > Orange = Red > Yellow

White lightsabers are canon now, too.

Bayonetta's a great character. Sexualization -- even the arbitrary "oversexualization" -- isn't at all tantamount to misogyny.
Sure it is.

Oh, I see.

Leveling subclasses takes quite a long time. Nowhere near 3-4 hours.
You're right, though I didn't think I'd have to be so specific.
Level 25 is achievable in that time, at which point you can level the majority of a subclass too.

Also, we've known about these packs for a long time now.
If you say so. Their forums only just exploded over this so don't blame me for doubting you. Not to say desticles are a credible source either.

When TTK came out and they first started talking about Eververse, someone looked in the game's files and saw the boost items. Though I seem to recall Bungie specifically saying they never intended to sell them for silver.

I'll reserve judgment until seeing the movie. The story doesn't sound bad, but it's unfortunate JJ ripped so much from IV and V.

Cruz tucked it into his jacket for some reason.

Is there any chance that these are placeholder prices, or the $45 is actually for TTK with an extra boost pack? I don't understand how $45 can be justified by anyone for an item that you're already given free with TTK.

Also, we've known about these packs for a long time now.

It's a chain. If you pass it on to someone and then that person dies, it goes back to you.

That's true. Fuck a dead guy, then. It can't kill a dead guy, so it's stuck.
